Well the real reason MJ came back was so he could play less minutes and only average 20 PPG. that way other players may have a 1% chance of beating his career PPG avg. 32 was just too high and unfair hence the return..:)

That last shot in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals in Salt Lake City, UT that helped the Bulls win their 6th NBA Championship in an 8-year stretch and a repeat 3peat, seemed to be the best way to end a career so illustrious and so great as that of His Airness.
