also i advise FFIII/VI FFII/IV FFV or FFVII. byond FFVII the story started weakening and what is a RPG with out a strong Story of them FFIII/VI has the strongest story.

and to avert some level of complaints yes FFVIII did have a fairly good story. it just wasnt that strong or compelling for me. not the way FFIV V and VI were.

Ok so first off best FF villen is gonna have to be Kefka. All of the villens "try" to destory the world where as kefka actualy dose it. Personaly i actualy hate Kefka no other FF villen has done that. Sephiroth was the villen everyone wanted to be. Kefka was the villen people actualy disliked.

Second Favorate FF protaginist/Character i would have to go with setzer from FFVI. 2nd place would have to be Cid from FFVII. Setzer wins cause he comes with a airship that has Style.

I wasn't impressed with XII, it just wasn't my bag. XIII was just plain boring. And XIV was a pure cash-grab by Square Enix. If there is a XV, it needs to be on the WiiU and the story needs to go back to the past again in terms of world design, quality storytelling, likeable characters, and a streamlined play system. Hell, Dragon Quest IX is superior in terms of playability and storytelling to half the games after VII, and that was on the DS.

@dkcmaster45 hmmmmmm that's a tough call. Insane madman (Kefka) or cold, calculating megalomanic (Golbez). Both are pretty evil, but Kefka is equal parts crazy and evil, while Golbez is just pure evil, betraying you even after you find out he's Cecil's brother.

@atmtex83 Golbez wasn't pure evil however.He did,in the end,become good.Where as Kefka was completely insane.He threw the earth into turmoil and yet still felt the urge to kill.Im more comfortable with a villain like Kefka anyday compared to sepheroth and ultimechia. Also ff VI is my favorite FF ever.This is my reasoning however...

@Abehl0X0Toshinota I will have to agree there, but again the Masterpiece here is called "Final Fantasy Classic", and Final Fantasy Classically was about the 8-bit, that lasted until Final Fantasy VI, so it's only natural that they compose the majority of the movie. True a single FF7 sneak in, but I would call that a greyzone area.

8 sucked because the plot makes about as much sense as green-lighting The Room. Squall is not the worst protagonist in the series, *cough* Tidus *cough* but he's just boring. The casting system also was total BS.

10 and Arc Rise Fantasia have one thing in common - what is otherwise a good game to play is RUINED by the characters - both their written and spoken dialogue. Tidus is by far the worst protagonist in the series - he's a whiny, narcassacistic brat with daddy issues.

@neosoc I have seen them. He was a bit unfair with VIII, but spot on with X. I & II are solid RPGs but nothing special. III is good, but the game does you few favors. IV, in my opinion, is in the best in the series - best protagonist (Cecil), best villain (Golbez), and a great supporting cast. Admittedly, I never played V. VI was pretty damn good. VII revolutionized the series. VIII was just frustrating. IX was a good return. X's characters should die in a fire. XI is harmless...
