  • i have a swiss style knife with alox handle's but the company that made it is called AMEFA and the model is the KL 75 does any one know any thing about it?

  • I have had a Victornox Farmer for over twenty years, certainly not a short lived model. The company at one time was going to discontinue, glad to see it revived. Great knife!

  • I just got a Swiss army knife for $0.99 + shipping on ebay talk about a good deal

  • Farmer has been my every day knife for close to 4 years. Dig it.

  • Something worth mentioning is that the victorinox saw is amazingly efficient in cutting wood, aslong as the saw can pass over the center of what your cutting you can saw around it, I did that on a 4 inch branch in couple of minutes, and that feature makes this relatively small knife act as a much bigger knife due to what size wood you can actually "process" with it :)

  • I Like the Wenger Can opener way better, I use it for all kinds of stuff that the Victorinox can opener wouldn't accomplish.

  • I don't like carrying a Swiss knife that doesn't have a saw.

  • The best thing with the silver alox is that it is actually looking better the more you use it. :)

  • hmm, saw and awl. nice addition to a fixed blade for bushcraft

  • wow. pretty.

  • awsome knife, thanks nutn, i bought one right after seeing this video about a year ago, also in blue alox...love it!

  • I was watching one of these the other day on eBay. It sold for $76. I should of bought a dozen when I had a chance.

  • Victorinox Farmer or the Victorinox Super Tinker? That's what I wanna know. It'll be one or the other for now.

  • Got one this week & just connected with it instantly. Everything you need on a small MT & nothing less. By far this is my favorite swiss army knife I've ever owned.

  • Coooool

  • It will be great collectable I am going to buy.

  • What can you not like about a Swiss Pocket Knife. I just recently ran across mine from the days in Boys Scouts. It has all the bells and whistles as my dad would say. I like this one that you reviewed. The issue of these lives to me is the thiness of the handle and the weight. Then again to me that helps make it a Swiss army knife. Thanks for the review. And I got q farmer at a gun show about a month ago. Used lives but in excellent shape.

  • that one is beautiful

  • subed thanks for the reviews.

  • I think, and in my opinion, that the Huntsman Knive is the best. It has th Large blade, Small balde, scissors, can opener, bottle opener, and the drivers, the corkscrew, tweezers an pik. The most useful to me. Cuts through thick plastic at my work, and cuts rope fine. Great knives.

  • A Nutnfancy knife review under 5 minutes? I miss those days.

  • would anyone care to give me there opinion? Which ones better - Victorinox Swiss champ or Victoriniox farmer? Im looking to buy

  • I can't wait 'till Victornox makes a blade with a SAW as in Squad Automatic Weapon! LOL

  • Hey! I just got he Pioneer, and it's fantastic! The only problem i found was the “hole” for the keyring, which keeps diiging into my palm. I am considering filing it down with a small and fine file, what are your thoughts on that?

    – SnaipaSpottage

  • The Farmer wont be short lived, it has been around since 1957! Awesome blade!

  • Aaargh, should've bought a coloured Farmer when they were available..

Luckily I did buy two coloured Cadet's.

  • What's up Nutfancy? I've seen some of your Victorinox reviews and I like themn. I would like to know what you think about the Swisschamp (91mm) and Workchamp (111mm).... Too heavy? Too wide? Worth it? .... Thanks dude.

  • It's a knife, not a tool. At least in my part of the country. Anyways, i am now a proud owner of a Victorinox Huntsman. I have ended my three year quest of finding a worthy Knife. 3 year search at gun shows. I bought it for $26 bucks, and it's black, and awesome. I made the switch from Swiss to Gerber Multi-Tools, and then Spring Assist, and now i return.

  • just got one off amazon. love it!

  • The saw rules. Super useful in the yard and garden.

  • The Alox panels may not have the room for the tweezers and toothpick but they also won't just pop off if you drop it from your waist height onto a wood or tile floor. Which I have had happen with the plastic slabs. The Victorinox Farmer is a great bushcraft pocketknife. I have used the blade to baton wood I have cut with the saw. The saw works a treat. Good Review NutNFancy

  • Reminds me of the Cadet line, which I have used for some time with great success.

  • Giot the silver versiin of this for my dad for Christmas and he loves it :)

  • I just bought a black one from Swissbianco. Excellent SAK!

  • i think the solo has the same handle. but it only has the knife blade

  • Anyone know the name or have any information on the victor knife posted on my page please let me know thank you.

  • You give the prices in a lot of your videos - shame that these knives cost a whole lot more over here in the UK - you have some of them at half the price we pay here or even less!

  • @liverpoolpaddy - spcmarke ting .co . uk Farmer model £18.69 free delivery

  • Hey everyone! Victorinox is selling these again on their website! Only silver though but it so cool.

  • The Hiker DOES have a saw

  • @Monotonyman2010 Hey, I was wondering. I'm sitting here with a knife exactly like Nuntn's Hiker & mine has a saw. It's got GREAT features for a smaller, lighter V-Nox knife. Hiker is great just needs mag-glass for a fire starter

Nutn, love ya. Keep it up. Glad to see a sub section of different knives.

And all you ppl out there if you don't know how good a Victorinox saw is I won't buy a multi-tool knife that doesn't have 1. Sharks teeth saws are great & cut easily through all types of wood.

  • 0:45 I have that same exact swiss that has the toothpicks and tweezers... but i lost my Tp.

  • im a girl and im not supposed to like knives but their designs are so lovelyyyy! :P

  • @Avrelsg Who said that girls are not supposed to like knives?!

Everybody loves knives.I like knives and I like girls, so I LOVE girls who like knives.

  • "Probably going to be short lived" :D :D :D That's one of the all-time most popular knives Victorinox has ;)

  • is the engravable part necessary, does all alox swiss army knives have that???

  • i wuv the craftsman

  • can tou do a revier on the charge al and the deluxe tinker

  • 1st video under 10 minutes??! =O

  • I just got my red farmer and I love it!

  • you might wanna take a closer look at your hiker model... it does have a saw

  • Aah, the good old Farmer. Got to love these knives! Perfect set of tools in a compact package with the nice look, finish and feel of the Alox scales. I have two of them, a modern silver one to take out into the woods and the other one as a collectors item: a nice vintage red model with the old swiss cross which I bought NOS on Ebay for very little money.

Thank You very much for your interesting reviews - always a pleasure to watch!

  • Should i get a silver farmer or a black pioneer?i like the black look in pictures but does it look alot better in person

  • peeling apples???????????? wtf???

  • @nokolot If a girl doesn't like a bruised apple, you could look big by nipping off the bruises for her. Or if you don't like a bruised apple, you can feel prepared after you're done.

  • Is the main blade sharp as in like amazing sharp or is it like more of a good enough sharp?

  • @ipodtester1 Why does it matter? You'll have to sharpen it yourself eventually, less you pay someone for doing such.

  • victorinox and benchmade!!!!!!

  • oh surrrrreeee a farmer would find that so useful

  • 1:19 disappearing Saw

  • same tools as the imperial kamp king and colonial forest master

  • I just ordered the silver one from Amazon. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the missing scissors. I'd rather have scissors than a saw. In normal day to day life, scissors are more useful than a saw (e.g. cutting your fingernails etc.). But nonetheless, this blade is awesome. Can't wait to get mine.

  • I went to the sierra website and could not find it . Well too bad

  • id love to have one

  • what i really really like about the farmer is how they put the saw because the saw is a awesome tool and it is very handy

  • Farmer model is quite popular. No need to worry about it being discontinued soon.

  • Through what I saw in Nutnfancy's various videos, I'm kinda suprised he doesn't own a one-handed SAK like a Victorinox Trekker or a Wenger Ranger.

I carry both a one-hand lockblade, for heavy tasks (the larger, ergonomic handle provides more comfort for heavy cutting, such as a double-wall box), and a Swiss Army Knife, as I love the quality and multi-tool ability (especially the can opener) so I've ordered a one-handed SAK to make my EDC lighter.

  • he does, he has a one hand trekker and a german army one.

  • pretty cool knife indeed, bought two the other in the very cool blue!

    Tks for the tips NutnFancy!

  • Short-lived model? I bought one of these in silver probably 10 years ago.

I've never used the punch awl for anything except accidentally cutting myself.

  • I got an awesome swiss army knife about 3 years ago for 10 bucks that thing is awesome!! i am not sure which model it is though i never see my kind for sale anywhere.

  • Nutn, my hiker has saw.. are you sure your's doesn't? Good revies though!

  • got one kicks ass and its been around for ever its a store only version thats why its not cause its not gonna be here foreever its only just a store only model im sure youve seen alot of knives tlike that

  • how about a review on the victorinox swiss tool

  • i luv my farmer. ive had it for a month now and its great. its very sharp and i use it alot every day. i like the alox handles because there so tough. one time i fell and i was pretty high up, and i was tumbling down and smacked it on rocks very hard a couple of times and if it was one of them plastic handled ones, it would of broke. its very durable and im sure it will probobly last me for my life. i totally luv it. i suggest you all go and get one while you can!

  • I love my swiss army knife. the first real knife I ever owned but I've moved on into other multi-tools but I still use a swiss cause I know it's of good quality.

  • get the trekker guys its kick ass

  • i think victorinox makes great knive and there is so many you are guaranteed to find one that fits you

  • @vigilante1202 or a couple.. =0 damn addiction lol (=

  • can anyone tell me what's the use of punch/reamer and how am i going to use it?

  • 1.Punch holes in anything thick, like a shirt or canvas.

2.You can use it however the hell you want.

  • I had the double bladed version with silver scales... but i lost it... i'm pissed... : ( aah looks like i'll have to get another...

  • the swiss army victorinox solo weighs about 24 grams- check that one out!

  • Does anyone know a small swiss army knife (Not the tinker but smaller)That has maybe 2 blades?I need a small one with 2 blades so if you know plz message me

  • maybe the swiss army sparten??

  • the spartan is just a tinker with a cork screw, or vice versa.

  • its sak that has two blade a mini and large knife and bottle opener w/ wire striper a can opener and a awl and corkscrew and toothpick and tweezer

  • where do u live??

  • i love the saw on my victorinox, wroks verry good

  • i have that knife...the victorinox farmer....WOW...its sure has changed!!! my dad bought in the 80s....

it only has a cross in the middle not the sheild!!

  • Nutnfancy rules the free world! Thanks, buddy, for another great review!

  • i have a nice swiss SAK 4 inch blade from. i think i read somewhere its called a moutianeer or montainmaster. the saw was VERY sharp when i first got it

  • worlds best mukti tool knife at under 100$ range

  • @drkjke LeatherMan Wave

  • @drkjke Damn

  • @drkjke you obviously haven't heard of leatherman have you.

  • great knife

  • This the best legal just about anywhere pocket knife going. Very tough little knife. I would know. I E.D.C. one.

And your quite right about the saw.

  • Do the swiss have an army? or are THEY the army, like America was supposed to be. No government paid army, BUT every citizen armed with an assault rifle. Switzerland didn't enter WWI nor WWII though it was right in the middle. And the swiss lagh about recession. Stop big government, vote libertarian.

  • In my opinion, a SAK is not an SAK without a saw, why buy a multi tool or multiknife if they dont have a saw???

Normally I am not into SAKs that much, but I have to say that is a damn fine looking knife. (I like it in the blue the best actually)

  • thx for web nice review NUTN,

     ~JT

  • How long do plastic scales generally last before requiring to be sent to Victorinox. And is it possible to retrofit (I'm competent with a dremel) alox scales?

And how would I add serrations to the lower 40% of the blade (is it functional?) I'm assuming a triangle sharpener right? Please respond.

  • Nutnfancy. Do you prefer the positioning of the awl at the end to the conventional position on the back side? And is it more effective? It appears like it is wider and it lacks the little hole for sewing. I'm debating between the electrician plus (extra blade with an indentation for cutting cord when I backpack) and purchasing a second camper. BTW, have you ever heard of the Victorinox Troubleshooter? My dad owns one. It's essentially a comination between the Super Tinker and the Mechanic.

  • I have a swiss army trekker.

its much larger,it has black scales that are more form fitting,a saw and a one- handed opening blade

  • Its useless if its not machined stainless steel tools.

  • 2-5-09. bought second Blue Farmer knife.

    I love em!

  • Just got this one today. This is my first swiss army knife and I have to say I'm very impressed with the blade. Much sharper than I thought it would be.

  • i have a kick ass saw on mine to

  • I think those are color codes, not quantities.

  • No. those are the quantities. I would have bought one in each color if I had enough cash that day..

  • I agree I've looked over the site and it seems to be color codes for the model.

  • Those are not color codes. thats the quantity of each color that the store had that day .

  • Either way I ordered one for my own. :-D

  • WildBio, You'll be happy with your new knife. Enjoy!

  • I have the red one and love it. Allthough the metal could have been better.

  • I bought this knife yesterday at a store called Tuesday Morning for $21.99. They had 4 blue. 6 silver and 3 red. Great review as always Mr.Fancy!

  • i bought this! thanks :)

  • Same here!

  • i want to live with food.

  • not bad i have the cybertool 34 its been the most bitching electronics tool ive had maybe a leatherman might be better but ill stick to my cybertool

  • What does it matter? And just because we have a different dialect than you, makes us barbarians? Dude, you need to grow up. Start thinking rationally, and logically. It's people like you that ruin Youtube.

  • you are wrong about the life of the knife Nutfancy . I have carried my Victorinox Farmer for almost 20years the goofy blue color may come and go but that knife is here to stay

  • Thanks 5/5!

  • I have Victorinox Farmer models (my favourite EDC) in Silver, Red, & Blue & as I was ordering the Blue I was told it was ALREADY !!! a " discontinued" or "limited availability" line

  • This is an excelent review; Short but sweet. I always enjoy your reviews. Keep doing what you do.

  • yeah i need a small saw on mine

  • Great video, i watch your videos whenever i get a chance. thanks for the videos and your service to our country!

  • Great video, I've just ordered a red one of these today, looking forward to getting it.

  • Hey, do you think victorinox saws are more effective than Leatherman saws of similar size?

  • Well I can't speak of the victorinox saws (my farmer and my trekker haven't come in yet) but the juice saw is devastatingly effective. Initial bite is very quick and I sawed through a 4 inch seagrape limb in about 2 minutes. Very little wear.

  • love how he says "move now" lmfaoooo

  • never been a fan of SAK's. I always have my Wave and pocket knife on me and cant seem to get used to anything else.

  • Nice review! These have been around and are pretty popular so they should be available for quite some time. I've got one each in the three main colors as well as one in orange and one in HA III which is dark gray and about twice as thick as the normal alox. Gotta love the farmer!!

  • I was wondering when you'd review a Farmer, nice vid!

  • for the toothpick and tweezers you can always combine alox models with a vic classic

  • Turns out my knife is a Soldier Model. If you got your Farmer for the price listed in the video, then you got a deal! Victorinox site lists it at $21.00 more.

  • I have been watching your vids for a while and you always deliver an honest, useful and experienced opinion! Plus, you seem to review what applies to me(i.e. FNP-9, Ruger SR9, Ruger Mark II, CRKT and this Victorinox). Not ten minutes ago i found a pocket knife in an old box i forgot about and thought about researching it. It resembles the Pioneer in this vid. I don't remember where i got it, had it about 10-15 years though. Has the pioneer been around that long? Thanks for coming through again!!

  • Those knives never did anything for me. Until I seen your videos. Now when I go to a knifeshop I check them out.

  • i have noticed in some of your videos that you keep saying "sorry," look, if someone watches you videos and doesn't agree that is fine. why would someone watch your video and get pissed when we came to know see your opinion.

keep up the good work, very helpful.

just something that i kinda thought was strange and unnecessary.

  • I just got this for christmas in silver and I got a nice leather case. A trick is that I use the awl as a small blade,it's plenty sharp for most small cutting tasks.

  • Yeah, I love this one! I bought this same knife (blue alox) several weeks ago for $18 on ebay.

  • O wow thats a real beauty!

Thanks for the heads up Nutn.

  • hahah i was playing wiith my nctorinox and we closed the saw at the same second

  • Cool vid. I agree not showing live inventory on vendor sites is a joke.

    Nutnfancy,

Please!! Only buy 9 blades this week and TURN UP THE HEAT for Mrs. Nutnfancy...she is freezing in the house. Just kidding....

  • Cool SAK, great review as usual. Peace

  • A 5 minute vid?! Holy smokes thats not like you! Great vid keep it up

  • IS the guy in your background really a hero??

Or is he another foolish white man, wasting his life fighting a war that isnt even his war, lol its israel's war.

kid died in vein if you ask me

  • At ~2:55 you can see the camera.

  • awesome vid as usual. keep up the great work

  • what can a punch awl be used for

  • Punching holes in leather and cloth a Firesteel striker(saves the edge of your knife blade, and aperently a makeshift drill, but i have not tried that.

  • Ha ha

    "Disconnecting from mother ship"

    good one great vid

  • Cool video, great knife. I carry the same one but with silver handle.

  • haha i always just lose the tweezers and toothpick anyways

  • After watching so many Your videos(which i love) about multitools and knives i feel i wanna buy one, nevertheless due to high price of Leatherman i guess i go for Victorinox...can You tell me what main blade is made from? Carbon steel or stainless ?

  • if ur looking for a mini tool, you shld watch his review on the gerber clutch, i bought 2 of em a few hours after watching it and i love it. it was 12 bucks at my local target

  • Stainless Victorinox call is Rostfrei which is simply german for stainless.

  • wut is a poker?????????.......5/5 nice vid

  • Five Stars!!

  • I like it. though i like blades that lock si they don't close on your finger..i split my thumb open pretty good with a swiss army knife before. Class A video nutnfancy. ;) -Jonny

  • Nice knife.

  • Im not a big fan of them, but still a nice knife. I might actually pick this one up. Thanks for the info

  • iv never had the urge to buy a SWISS ARMY KNIFE or pocket tool, dunno why?maybe its coming to apoint that ill need 1,but iv never been in a situation to need 1!great vid again!(",)

  • hi it´s my outdoors pocket knife.

The puncher is the best one to make holes

I use saw´s back edge as firesteel scraper.

    enjoy

  • Good review as always! One thing about the can opener/3mm screwdriver that I really like is that it also works well on phillips head screws.

  • The amazing thing about the Victorinxo saw on their pocket knives is how capable it is... I have actually cut through 2x4's with it and it goes right through 'em with ease!
