This piece really has a beautiful eastern sound, reminds me of something from Romania. Crushingly harrowing, and works so well with the explosion scene. Hans Zimmer, what a genius!
doesnt it remind you of the music piece in schindler's list..when the jew women witness people being sent into the gas chambers after their bath...sounds like that..
"Doulies..." I love it when Sherlock murmers that.
But the explosion scene, to me, was terrifying. I thought Watson was actually dead. I kept thinking to myself "They can't possibly kill Watson! Not Watson!" D:
@TheBleedingLullaby oh the contrary Watson has one of the best friends in the world......if only Sherlock would keep up with his personal hygiene a little better
@ChildofGod318 what's up with his hygiene? there was no mention of this in the film-was there?(or for that matter the stories) it's his bipolar mood swings and nigh psychotic disregard for people's safety in the pursuit of a danger high. that's the problem, not bad breath ;)
Love This film. Watched it when it first came out in the cinema. when the explosion happened everyone, myself included, jumped. my friend's cousin managed to spill both his drink and popcorn on the floor
i've only seen this film Once, but because of how this piece fit so well with the explosion scene and how much it impressed on me, i remember that scene the best out of all the other scenes
@jackw00pw00p Then why is everyone talking like the scene this is at is when the gypsy women appears? It's cleary not, the music doesn't even fit with that scene. And they think they know the film so well... Amatuers. Anyway, thanks for replying anyway.
I'm pretty sure this is when they are in that factory near the river thames and the Barrels explode, And Blackwood gets away, And Sherlock gets told he's wanted. Not the bit where the gypsy talks to Watson?
There's ZERO dislikes. That's gotta tell you something.
This scene, even though it was SOOO despairing, was also one of the best. The slow motion blow up and the way Watson put Holmes before himself. "HOLMES!" One of the best in the movie. This and Unstoppable by E.S. Posthumus are my favorite. Oh, and the beginning of "Rocky Road to Dublin."
One of my favorite movies. I just bought the DVD. RDJ<3
I keep picturing Watson in my head shouting, "HOLMES!!" And instead of using that second to try to save himself, he instead turns and holds up his hand toward Holmes to try to warn him... I thought for sure Watson was dead during this scene!!! It made me cry!! Lol... then I cried harder when I saw that he was still alive. XD
this probably sounds a little weird. but this song to me makes me think of somebody injured and they're walking but keep falling. o well awesome song!!
@JediGirlGabs Me too! And it also reminds me of an opera when something bad just happened and the person is crying and fumbling all over the floor and such :D
Mmhn, this is probably my favorite from this soundtrack. The beginning instrument really stuck out when I watched the movie. Absolutely moving. Cheers to an excellent composer!
One of the reasons i love Zimmer is his music sounds fresh and new everytime. take James Horner, I love his stuff too, but i can always tell its him. Same with Williams,.
speking only ´bot Zimmers composing style: this is a mixture of some parts from his THELMA&LOUISE ... and ... oops a bit from John Williams work in: "Schindlers List"
@HMSDelusionalLove uh, the scene this is played in is the one where Watson gets blown up as they leave the factory, though (SPOILER ALERT) he doesn't die.
Both the scene and the music were very chilling. The best part of the movie had to be the conflict between Watson and Holmes. Fantastic film, thanks for the upload!
Thanks for uploading the soundtrack, I absolutely loved the music in this film! : )
When my friends and I saw the movie, this song all reminded us of Tzigane by Ravel; it's a great piece, if you like this track you'll probably like Tzigane too, it's worth checking out.
yes, it was. the music and the scene just match up so well. i think i very nearly cried at that part. if not because of the scene, then because of the beautiful music.
Finally i found this song, this sountrack was when the industry on the tames is destroyed by the blow, right ? One of my favourite scene.
