I heard a similar thing for the plague, I don't know what its called but its pretty simple.

Germs and infectious bacteria and stuff like that need hosts that are alive, early on plague killed a lot of people, but the more deadly strains of plague die off early on because the people died with it. The later strains of plague are less deadly because they don't kill the host so quickly, so they survive longer

When you complete the game, I know you unlock something like unlimited ammo, but if I was to play the game on Professional difficulty with the unlimited ammo, will it still count for the achievements I will get?

Yes. Infinite ammo does not affect achievements.

I think it's great that theres walkthrough available, but you shouldnt have infinite ammo cheats on, would make it easier than the normal person going through the game if they haven't got the extra help..

A normal person just going through the game wouldn't typically be playing on professional difficulty though :)

There is an achievement for it yes, but professional difficulty is locked until you've completed it on Veteran xD
