  • Perfeito.

  • why the rating is disabled man ?

  • AN EXCELENT AND WONDERFUL-BEAUTY SONG

  • ...

so that's where this is from. my girlfriend wouldn't tell me when she'd sing it to me.

lol that's what i get for waiting so long to play SOTN.

  • @nitronzx also it's a shame you won't share for DL. I mean, heck, i can easily find the actual song on my own in like, 5 seconds. (the internet is wonderful, isn't it?) but the lyrics would be great to have accompany it~

and i kinda like the animation too :3

Though I completely understand your reasoning.

  • Ahhh, this song is so beautiful, so peaceful! Really wouldn't expect it in a Castlevania game randomly, would you? This song is one of the reason I'm buying Dracula X Chronicles.

  • @Arcamonde For your question, considering the rest of the game's artwork, the character designs, the fantastic music...

...still no. XD It's really that elegant.

  • @SestrenNK i bought dracula x chronicles and i found when you play as ritcher in it or richard there is this secret area where you get to unlock symphony of the night in it in one of ritcher or richard's stage lvls

  • I remember the first time I hear it. I was in Library, I've got nothing to do, so I sat on a chair just listening music (Fairy Familiar was activated, flying nearby). Suddenly, Alucard has lowered his head as he was sleeping, music stopped for a few seconds, then this tune started to play. I was, like: "What the...?", and jumped off a chair (music get back to usual). I thought that something will attack me. I sit on chair again, Alucard fall asleep, song repeated. I noticed it was Fairy singing.

  • I feel sleepy now.

  • that's Alucard for ya. me: ALUCARD stop sleeping on the job there is a zombie behind you! -pulls out knife whil sleeping and stabs it- i stand corrected...

  • I kinda like this one more than the original Japanese version. Fuckin' beautiful I must say!!

  • so beautiful....this made me cries...hehe

    Sweet Dreams, alucard

  • this song is more than amazing, i love it so much!!!!!!!!!

    P.S. sweet dreams Adrian!!!!!!!!!!

  • best version is in japan

  • My god! Im in Castlevania heaven!

  • I'm not sure which I enjoy more - the beauty of the song's meaning, or Alucard sleeping.

  • Whenever I listen to this, it helps me sleep well and let me into my dreams.

  • I didn't know this song. I just found it accidentally. Well, Castlevania SotN is really a masterpiece! So many secrets!

  • @ronesbat and glitches XD

  • Any idea who sings this O:?

  • Castlevania Symphony of the Night is simply amazing all full of wonderful secrets like this lullaby... man they should make games like this one more often..

  • Oh, thanks for the response! This makes me wish I had a PSP and DXC now. =<

  • This song is so beautiful! D;

I haven't been very far in SoTN yet, but I wonder where I can encounter the original music in the game itself (which is probably in the original Japanese version on the PSX/Saturn version. >< I got the PS3 version lol). Only a bit curious, and hoping it's not only a OST-only track.

  • @ValkyrieStryker there are two fairies in the Japanese one. Use the one that's not in the american release and sit in a chair. After a long time, the fairy will sit on your shoulder and sing her song.

There are a few videos of it on Youtube.

  • @OroCrimson Specifically, the Fairy Familiar (not Fairie) is found on the left side of Olrox's Quarters (where the Sword Familiar was located in the original US SotN release; Sword's been moved to a room on the opposide side of Olrox's Quarters' main room with the blood fountain). Sitting in a chair in any location will cause her to sing Nocturne after a few minutes. However, you must level her up to at least 12 before she'll sing.

  • @ValkyrieStryker Adding to what OroCrimson said, the original song is only found in the Japanese releases, with the exception of the PSP version of SotN found in the Dracula X Chronicles (This song hails from said game's OST).

  • beuatiful... just beautiful...

it kinda sounds like "lost painting"

  • Man this song is awesome I might actually be addicted to it just like the game that spawned it (or at least I think it did... either way I'm gonna revel in it).

  • There needs to be a simple hack of the game where they just put back (access to) the 2 familiars, this song, and maybe the interviews (with subs). Also there's been two advanced hacks (unfinished, but a good understanding and many things changed); I was thinking maybe, just maybe someone can reconstruct the saturn's advantages (maria [much better than PSP ver], the 2/4 new areas, like 14 enemies, alt Richter costume, Remix songs for alt characters, that creepy 3rd hand, and some new equipment).

  • @jbetenbender Double post lol. Also add "Admiration Towards the Clan" from the 360 patch. So much better than that dreadful Gone With The Wind; like really they build up with this epic game only to have it in with the gayest song ever (sorry in advance to anyone I've offended who actually liked the song lol).

  • @jbetenbender It's "I am the Wind," not "Gone with the Wind," but I do agree. "I am the Wind" was quite out of place in the original SotN, though I find it humorous they replace the credit music of Lament of Innocence (IMO a good game). Konami remembered that game and song ("Admiration of Clan") still exist :)

  • Oh man I love this forever.

This version is so much better than the Japanese version, too. <3 <3 <3

  • Pretty...

  • This song makes me happy

  • What A Wonderful Song! It's So Relaxing!

  • They should have incorporated this into the credits instead of "I Am The Wind"... da f (there's the jap version of the song on US version but you need gameshark codes for song and pixie/faire).

  • Oh sweet mother of god, that was impressive, I love it :D

  • Niceeeeeeee

  • You can find the English version of the OST session in the SotN area of Castlevania Krypt. As for where you listen to this song in the game... Remember there is a part of the Long Library where you find chairs and a table? Try sitting in the chair while the Fairy Familiar is activated. If you wait a little, the fairy will sit in Alucard's shoulder. If you wait a little longer, the fairy will start singinf this song.

  • @Sparfregundo Aw wth I thought you had to use the faire er whatever from gameshark code.

  • this song is relaxing! i never knew that SOTN has a song like this. where did you get the english version of this song? can you give me the exact download site of this song? i want to download this on my MP3

  • @RexaGannonheart17 Video description explicitly says not to ask for files.

  • @RexaGannonheart17 what about lost painting it was also relaxing (no lyrecs tho :/)

  • @alansixx yeah! that BGM too. it's quite relaxing and a little bit mystic melody.

  • @RexaGannonheart17 i still like this is has the lost painting taste if u litsen to the music and not her singing youl se what i mean

  • @RexaGannonheart17 cough*YoutubeMP3Converter*cough.

  • @CountSmokeula this sounds like exactly like the japanese version wtf u talking about?

  • Poor Alucard. He missed such a good song.

  • Comment removed

  • Here's my interpretation of the song:

"The sadness that fills her eyes" represents Alucard's mother.

"End of love, love is gone" represents Dracula after her wife, Lisa died in the hands of the humans.

"If its so, cut the thread, If its time, let it go" means that Alucard has to let go of his past.

"Blameless wolf carries on alone" represents Alucard as he searches for a "new" place to dream which eventually would lead him to Japan.

  • Die monster you no belong on this world

  • I like how this song sounds...

Never played any castlevania games though...

  • fuck. the english version of this is so good.

  • Who's The Singer?

  • @superCAPSMAN The girl who voiced Sakura in Naruto, forgot her name

  • @sloththemighty wait a minute, you mean to say that this could possibly be Kate Higgins (the voice of Sakura) singing? Not to say you might be wrong, but I'm listening to the same song & think that its Melissa Fahn (the voice of Rika). Then again, both of them have a career in music, so who knows for sure.

  • i dont remember this song and i played the game a lot of times

  • @Berserk100 It's a trigger event that only works on the Japanese version and the PSP.

You need one of the fairy familiars (Forgot which one), the sheet of music and a chair. Summon the familiar and sit down. Randomly she'll start singing this song to you. It causes Al to fall asleep.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix it sucsk i haveit for psp and my psp broke. there 2 fairy fimilars in that one, i never knew that. also i wish they addded the under ground garden. i recently found about that area was never added to any of the american versions. psp ps1 and 360 all dont have that area.

  • @Berserk100 One Fairy is in blue the other green. (nods)

It was added to the Saturn version of the game, however the issue was that it was a serious glitching issue or lag. Can't recall which one.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix well they could have added it to the 360 and psp version they could have added it and fixed it up. i wonder how the fairies and different

  • I LOVE YOU THAT MAKE THIS VIDEO THANKS SO MUCH SO I CAN SLEEP TIGHT

    IN MY SECRET PALACE ^O^

    LOL

I LIVE IN JAKRTA REPUBLIK INDONESIA THX FOR THE VIDEO

  • i love the poeple that created this thanks'

    ^_^

  • i have unblocked every part of the castle withouts help or tricks... but i never knew about this song....

  • @Pachorraelmarce Depends on which version you're using. It was originally in the Japanese versions of the original PS1/Saturn, and they decided to do an English version for the Dracula X Chronicles version of SOTN.

  • @SestrenNK oh, so im playing the ps1 version in english and thats why i cant hear it... thanks :)

  • i bet the japanese version of this song is so much more awesome thanks for the upload sestrenNK i know people r dumb but dont hate them pity them...

  • i love the part "End of love, love is gone. No more dreams to dream about, so life is done. If it's so, cut the thread. It's time to let it go"

  • First time I've heard the English version of this song. Thanks.

  • ,....LOVE THIS LYRICS <3

  • That sleeping Alucard is so cute.

  • @windaxis What part of "DO NOT ask me to give you the song or where to find it" and "IGNORING THIS WILL GET YOU BLOCKED" did you not understand? Blocked.

  • @SestrenNK

Why do you care so much? Anyone with sense could easily find it, or just rip the audio from here.

  • @Mecher529 You'd think and hope so, but most people want to take the quick and lazy way and think I should make it available for them instead. But what kills me is that every time, they act as if they're entitled to something from me, like I owe it to them or I'm expected to say yes, which I don't appreciate and view as a scum attitude. I'm not a file-sharing service. Plus Sony has this video tagged for copyright; it's likely if I do provide a download anyway the video will get deleted.

  • @SestrenNK

Really? I found one in seconds on the first page of a google search, in flac format no less. You're not the only one who gets bugged constantly to upload something or do something on youtube, as an uploader it's a given; probably because the typical youtube user isn't going to read the essay of a description you've handed to them. You most likely know that already but I'm saying don't be so uptight about it, you aren't the first person with this problem.

  • @Mecher529 Believe me, with some of the comments I've gotten on other videos the concept of googling something can seem nonexistent. But unfortunately, as much as I wish otherwise, when it comes to a lot of things in my life I've found that people are only likely to take what I say seriously when I'm uptight or a total hard ass on things. Believe me, I usually start with the passive approach, yet it always leads me to the same place because people think they can talk me into it regardless.

  • @SestrenNK Raging much? Seriously? It's just youtube. :B Relax. I suppose you're going to Rage at me for telling you simmer down. and Block me as well. Expected reaction is excepted. Good sir.

  • @Hakudoshi19 Nope, it's just my nature when encountering stupid people to make them look and feel stupid. But I could consider "Expected reaction is excepted" to be along the lines of trolling on a personal level, if not looking full of yourself.

  • @SestrenNK :3 if that's what you think.

  • @SestrenNK Still do. I do enjoy this song. Surprisingly I enjoy the english version more. because i can actually fucking understand what she is saying. o_o i don't understand why people listen to japanese music if they don't know what they are saying unless they make the effort and looking up the lyrics and translations. I mean i know Japanese Music can be rather Catchy. but I dunno. It's not my slice of pie. :B i think i'm Rambling a bit too much.

  • @Hakudoshi19 In most cases I'd favor the Japanese version, but I probably favor the English version because of the voice more than anything. They could've easily messed it up. In regards to Japanese music, I think there's a certain mystery-like appeal not knowing what's being said, putting that aside and simply enjoying the sound of the singing voice and music. Hard to explain, but like you said, it's not everyone's slice of pie.

  • @SestrenNK yeah.. agree.. there is a weird but pleasing feeling when it comes to listening to japanese music.. and when you try to find their translations, they ought to be better compared to most modern english music.. i just think their beat, sense, and mystery makes them ahead of those understandable ones.. that's just my opinion..

  • such a sweet song

  • is really beautiful melody

  • This Song Is Absolutely Beautiful. I Downloaded It So That I Could Use It As A Lullaby. I Actually Fall Asleep Listening To This. I Now KNow How Alucard Must Feel!!! XD

  • So sad. T_T

  • Who sings man?

  • Aparently the same woman that voices sakura in US version of naruto, love her voice...

  • SOTN will always be the Greatest Castlevania ever... I always loved the Fairy, she is just oh so CUTE and HELPFUL! X;3 SOTN Forever...! *cries in joy* Thank you so much for putting this up but both Japanese and English Versions are beautiful, again, thank you so much for this, you have no idea how grateful I am...! X3

  • Who sang it?

  • thank you thank you!!!

    thank you thank you!!!

You have no idea how happy u ve made me today... this song is beautiful and so special for me... tears they flow... from my eyes :')

    thank you thank you!!!

  • The English version is much better

  • It occurred to me that this song is a touch ironic. The line about the Blameless wolf turning around and finding a new place to dream. With Alucard's ability to turn into a wolf, and after he leaves at the end of the game. He made his way to Japan, his 'new' place to dream.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix thus transforming into Genya Arikado

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix Well, yeah, but the Blameless Wolf IS Alucard and the symbol of his eternal life as a loner. His pain and sadness is introverted with the burden he must bear to uphold the promise he made to Lisa and to stop Dracula.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix how is that ironic?

  • @dragonnutds The nature of the song itself. When you get this familiar, Alucard's response to his father's presence was to go into a deep sleep that he's been in for well over a hundred years. Realistically speaking, there was nothing stopping his father from finding him at any time if he wanted to. So Dracula appears to respect his son's desire to just sleep.

Yet instead, this song hints literally to the game ending. With Al taking the suggestion and leaving his homeland instead.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix oh, so it is ironic because it matches a posible path that the game did not take.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix Well, more like he's a lone wolf rather than his ability.

  • @LadyLunarPhoenix I'm not sure that's ironic? I'm not sure it's even coincidental. Unless I'm missing something? :)

  • @ninjatoothpaste Aria/Dawn of Sorrow, he went to Japan as Arikado, changing his identity and starting a new life. It's more coincidental than ironic.

  • thanks i love this song :-)

the japanese is great too love it :-)

  • I love this!

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone know who the singer is?

  • This songs makes feel sad... i want a more magical world.

  • It's songs like these that remind me why Castlevania is the greatest.

  • I absolutely love this song, I wish it were longer.

  • OMG!!!

    Alucard chibi awesome

    o chido

    buen video

    aparte me gusta esa cancion

  • @ YokoRenard, Do you know what Chibi Means? It is the Japanese word for midget. Just thought I'd let you know

  • xD I love the cute sleeping Alucard. Such a sweetie.. I wish I had such an awesome lullaby.

I get a stupid spanish one.

  • Alucard gets the awesomest lullaby!!!!

  • Where's the lil fairy?

  • Yeah.

I can't find the Lyric Card in my DXC SOTN game.

But if you beat the game and go to the soundtrack, look for the song title.

And play it. It'll be in English or Japanese, depending on what setting you have in the options menu in the actual DXC game.

  • You don't need the lyric card in the DXC version.

  • I watch the moon when I hear this song.

  • Sqweee!!!!! A chibi-card

  • This song makes me feel so relax.... the melody is amazingly soft :-X

  • Argh

    Cry

Humming along with the vocal version

    Fav it

And I think I will try to play this song by my guitar

    Love it ^^

  • I love this song. That's it point blank LOVE it.

  • melissa fahn has amazing sweet voice

  • the japanese version is by the girl from the parquets, but I feel I can place the american voice

  • sooo nice ^__^

  • Beautiful song. Love the animation. The whole production in fact. Fits perfectly!

  • Sounds like the same singer who sang the japanese version. *Anyone want this song, PM me*

  • ill take it er...please?

  • Yeah, I love when it's probably the same singer but she sings in English, like Hikaru Utada for Kingdom Hearts, or even the person who sang Gentle Hands in .Hack//G.U. Unfortunately, she was kind of bad at her English... 0_o lol. She thought person was pronounced per-suh-on. I don't blame her. English is weird... Sometimes it contradicts itself and has different rules... Some words that are supposed to rhyme don't, like have compared to all the other ave words like dave, cave, gave, and shave.

  • the japanese singrs voice is just a bit highr but ya. kinda the same pitch.

  • This song is so beautiful but so sad...

  • Hmm... the ending gives a sign of hope though.

  • i have the a sega saturn plus dracula x nocturne it the moon light it fun it is mor fun whit new items plus 2 bouns stages

  • oh wow! what a great song! thanks for sharing! xx

  • really really wonderful song , the voice sounds like a baby song ,

  • Comment removed

  • EH? Where does this song play in the PSP version?!

  • I wonder what's the story behind this song and how it came to be just an easter egg. Simply beautiful.

  • well the subtitle for "symphony of the night" was originally "nocturne in the moonlight"

  • Aah... So it might have even been the title music/main theme at some point...

  • Actually, it's the title for the Japanese version of the game released on the original Playstation in Japan, and it also has the Dracula X moniker attached to it, so it's the direct sequel to Dracula X: Rondo of Blood.

The official Japanese name is Akumajo Dracula X: Gekka no Yasōkyoku or Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight.

  • richter : that song... so beautiful..

maria : RICHTER!! WAKE UP!!... ohhh.. im.. sleepy..

  • @masterkill107 thats Alucard

  • I love this song so much. Everything about it is perfect.

  • Thanks XD

  • but the quality will be lowered...which it's very pity...i can only found the jap version, eng version nowhere to find....*sigh*

  • So wonderful song..it makes me feel so...yeah I think you know what I mean if you really listen to the lyrics and the music...

  • I wish this could have been in the original PS1 release.

  • i have

  • i just love the song

  • NVM

  • why is alucard sleeping?

  • what a great song for a great game =)

castelvania symphony of the night has one`s of the best kicking ass sound track in a game for the psx

  • oh my lord.. i just love this song *¬*

  • i like this song, I have it in my SOTN sound track.

also thanks for pointing out the words i would of never figured them out since i am paritally deaf and cant hear things well :P.

and also is this played in the game it self? or its just on the sound track.

  • This appears in the European and Asian editions of the game, as well as all those released on PSP. In the game, have Alucard fall asleep in a chair (I think it may be specific to the Chair before the first Doppleganger) with the Fairie card enabled. The fairy will rest on his shoulder and sing.

  • I'll sing 4 karaoke

  • Developing java apps with this background music ROCKS!

  • i have heard the japanese verison of this song and its good to, but when i heard this in english i liked it even more. the only question i have is WHO SING THIS SONG! i have been looking everywhere to find this singer and all i been able to come up with is the name of the singer for the japanese version. please if you know or anyone reading this know, let me know.

  • I think it might be Melissa Fahn. She sounds just like her.

  • Im also pretty sure its melissa fahn, she worked with portrait of ruin around the same time this game was beeing redone for the psp so chanses are its her

  • cool ty both i listens to some of her other demo songs on her fansite and from looking at the list of things she has done i would agree with you both thank you again.

  • Wow, this was so soothing and pretty that I can easily understand why you decided to make a sleepy Alucard. I actually fell asleep while listening to this song, since it was so relaxing ^^

Now I miss this game :(

  • thanks for allowing my video to be a response :)

  • I've gotten a lot of bad ones lately (for other vids) and that one was worth watching, so thanks for making a good one :). Plus I'm a sucker for those 8-bit remixes.

  • what can I say its my hobby
