i love this song and have adopted it as my theme song. It makes me cry everytime I hear it but it helps me feel like im understood. I have always been labeled the girl who got everything and evrything always worked for me. Really its just that I hide struggle and God has blessed me. um. the way you edited the text and the pictures you picked were absolutely perfect. I have always loved this song. She fought really hard to get this on the album and its so meaningful to what she was going through with her marriage and label at the time. When this came out I really related to it too, being somewhat of an ousider... too white for the hispanic kids, and too hispanic for the white kids.. and then later in life being gay.
@PoisonParadiseTV life can take you for a wild ride. but we all can overcome those hardships. sorry you had to deal with such ignorance. there was alot of songs she wrote for this album and recorded but they wanted her to do it over due to them being too personal. but i thought that was what musical expression was about?. this song was a cry for help glad shes happy now. must have been hell to work at an overbearing label. and your boss being a tyrant who just happens to also be your husband.
I've never related to a song's lyrics so much as I do to this one. Whenever I am sad or depressed or even frustrated, I listen to this song in order to feel that someone else out there has felt the same too.
This was sung from the heart, it had to be from personal experience, made my eyes water.
