@kubapista that´s correct!
he stopped racing after this accident. if the accident had not happened, he still racing for a few years.
This was the same day as Dale Earnhardt's bad Talladega crash and two weeks after the enormous Krosnoff melee at Toronto.

The culprit was Greg Moore, who played in the rear tire of Fittipaldi, when it had already made the decision to bow in the front of Moore.

True, Emmo never raced again in CART, I recommend getting "Rapid Response" by Dr. Stephen Olvey, there is a good read about this crash.

Emmo never raced again in CART as this accident fractured his vertabrae if I remember correctly.

WOW. I was at this race in the infield, and that wreck happened right in front of us..... that flash of fire was blinding! I remember running down to where the car came to a stop and it was a long run. :-)
