  • i loveit hong kong

  • Beautiful view and I love hearing the birds in the background! Hong Kong is such a wonderful city!

  • @KingAbrar1

Most of the 'skyscrapers' you see are actually apartment buildings built by either the government or some private real estate developers. They don't have a reason or the money to build the tallest building in the world when all people need is a place to live.

The really fancy ones are the business buildings, the rest are just really tall apartments.

  • BREATHTAKING!

  • now thats a view

  • eeee i was born theree :)

  • I love Hong Kong !!!

    Beautiful Hong Kong-----My hometown !!!

  • dubai will be more epic than hongkong in the next 5-10 years.

have you every heard the tallest block? residential buildings over 300m tall side by side..n they are building more! i rate hongkong in top 3 bec. it is old..and one of the best today..

  • nice, i love HK

  • Very nice city but i think that the city is a little bit to small. But so far i like it. Greetings from honolulu.

  • @honolulu274 A little bit too small? Are you kidding? It's one of the largest cities in the World. What are you, 5 years old?

  • Beautiful.

    Im moving there next January!

  • wow short video. but one of the best I've seen on youtube. I want to go to hong kong

  • Great video-- brings back great memories from when I worked in HK in '95- '96. It's an amazing city! The animosity of some of those who posted comments to this video in 2009 is evidence that some people need a whole lot more love in their lives. Peace & God's love to everyone!

  • go up there at night when the city is lite up.. i been up there once its amazing

  • superb view.

  • I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE HK....se u next month, here I come again!!!

  • watch?v=wy2pkXe2AZI

  • c de la bomb it's a bomb that city it's so great

  • It's Already MORE impressive now with Hong Kongs NEW tallest building ICC build across the Harbour in what in the video is an area of open land...it stands around 40m higer than the tallest building in the vid (IFC2).. directly across the harbour on the Kowloon side.

  • freeze at 23 and notice the two squat red-black twin-towers by the harbour...take your eyes up from there, straight across the harbour

ICC stands in the open mud peninsular to the left of the blue-glass tower block

  • gotta get that at night.

  • This is amazing view...

    大阪より凄いですね・・・。

  • beautiful!!!! ^_^

  • wtf... this is AMAZING !!!!

  • didn t you say that only rich Chinese people go overseas for education ? call me a liar if you d like....... actions speak louder that words ..... stop braging about somethiing you guys don t have USA # 1

  • there's no earthquakes in hk... pls.. - -

  • @waplus1988

Yeah. And i wanna try how the earthquakes power is lol~

  • @waplus1988 just typhoons

  • The only people I admire is the hard-working chinese people who work hard everyday and don t brag about anything unlike you who pretend to be rich......... you re just foolish......

  • We have a better country, better cities, better currency, better environment, better education, our numbers speak for us........ and you know what dude stop braggin' about of how china is getting dirty "money" cuz you may think USA is lost becuz one s reccession......... we ve been through worse !!! and still being number 1......

  • I am sorry but i ve gotta say this....

China can t do with over 1billion people What USA did with less than 300 million juaaaaz

  • never makes sense when you lie saying that china has a better IQ over USA .... the only good thing you guys do in USA is to serve food to us..... and it is a shame that there s no good Universities in Asia ..... theducation in USA is million times more advance........

  • Look who's talking ?

in how many different ways i gotta tell you to stop getting info from google ? there s nothing you can say "lie" to make us change our minds !!! HK is nothing compared to USA ........ HK is just a small piece of land that wants to be part of china again........

  • @OnlyTheTruthSorry We Can Compare USA, when if they design... and another you make the car is Suck, plastci, exact Corvette Cheap than GT-R.. even Slow, not as fast than Japan cars and Europe!! Muscle Cars Suck!! we can Beat USA until 2020 :).........

  • hahaha let s just say that USA is the worst and the poorest country in the whole planet .... and ASIA is the king !!! that doesn t make sense at all.... USA has been # 1 for centuries.....something china hasnt acchieved with billion people working their azz off everysingle day!!!! we re just smarter that YOU........and finally every single city in USA is better that HK juaaaz

  • USA is just playing with China !!!

we ve helped china for so long that its payback time..... why can t you just accept the fact that China can t handle itself..... if it wasnt for the fact you guys are cheap labor you know everything is made in China..... we don t do that crap in america !!! we just pay a couple of Cents to Chinese people so they can make toilet paper to wipe america azz

  • i do know the reason why asian people go to Europe and America !!! WHY ? because the population you guys got is exaggerated no economy can survive with that wave of asian people .... asian countries are so poor that the only choice is left is sending asian nationals to europe and america ... poor you i feel sorry

  • hey man don t you know how to read cuz i told you not to mention your google copy and paste info !!! plz hahaha

  • at first i thought you were just wrong now i feel very sorry for you....you never lifted a finger cuz you were very rich juaaaz... i bet you had a full time job in a chinese restaurant.. didn t you ? hahaha you re no different than any chinese person who got a nice car but live in a single-bedroom apt along with 20 more lolz....

  • this is the real proof of how people come down to this country to make a living then come back to their country just to say shyt about USA.... the best example is....

dannylau328 studied and lived in US for 8 years he actually " came to NY" then he s done, got back to his HK... opened a youtube account then the rest can be explained it by hitting his profile... he hates USA for being the best economy in this world with 300 million people something china cannot do with over 1 billion..

  • hahaha the tallest building in HK is a joke after that all small buildings surround it........ the difference between NY and HK is that in NY they build for comfort and luxury on the other hand in HK they actually need it cuz if it wasnt for that everyone d be living on the street !!!

  • hahaha you ve just proved how dumb you are.......... keep copying and pasting stuff you get from google !!! if i were you id just quit talkin' crap Opps..... you re definitely very chinese plz admit it go clean dishes in ur are juaaz

  • okay, i found various data on many different websites which all carry different numbers, i've been to HK and it looked nowhere near 7000+, plus the numbers can vary due to different criteria thru which measurements are taken, on one list theyeven had turkey's instanbul somewhere in the top 5 ranks, so that's for accuracy! to me NY always was and always will be number one, just go ask a random person to associate a city with the word skyscraper, and see which name you will hear the most! NY 1# !!

  • Shoot look who s talking !!!

ok just put it this way ummm whatever you

    say is WRONG!!!

Why ? you re just trying to defend your so-

Called city by lying to everyone...... don t be copying and pasting info from google just to make us believe in fake crap !!! how many times do i have to tell you people i ve been there and is nothing outta this world..... that s typical of asian people so envious of america...

  • hahahaa you really wish HK had that many buildings over NYC juaaaz

  • Hong Kong Skyline Victoria Peak View

Tags: Hong Kong Skyline Victoria Peak View cityscape culture destination landmark nature travel log 9218ac12a===

  • well, i've been to HK and NY many times, got relatives theer (NY) also, so , let's agree to disagree about HK & NY, fewer than 5000, :D i wonder what google you are using xD

  • hong kong is sooooo pretty! XD i love hong kong so so much! =D

  • according to websites, HK is the numer 1 skyline.. =)

  • besides, should you decide to go on a trip to one of these cities that you praise so much over NY, get yourself a mask first, cuz' you'll have a tough time breathing pal! hahahahaha :D

  • shanghai!? c'mon gimme a break now, comparin'HK with NY might be okay, but shanghai, are you serious!?you should travel to HK to know what i know,HK again is NOWHERE near that number, you might like HK better for whatever reason,i assume you've never been there, but that's okay with me,anyway,NY is the place for highrises, ask someone randomly to quick-name a city that comes to mind when you throw out the word skyscraper associated to it,and guess which city you will get to hear in most of the cases!

  • nope, been there, it looks dense, but behind the "front row buildings" there are the shady bunker like highrises, and again, you can look up the official statistic on the a webpage which i dunno if i can name it here, again, xrokr was correct with his comment,

  • Statistic on a so called "webpage".lol

The official staistic by the HK GOVERNMENT is 7882 buildings taller than 90m(by June 2007)...due with it!New York is nothing compare to HK or even Shanghai today in terms of # of high-rise.:P

  • nope! daz' tru you can look it up pal ! ;)

  • xrokr is right with his enlistment, HK is nowhere near that number mmfilm, been there, it's filthy and behind the first row skyscrapers seen here are just ugly bunker like highrises

  • What??...only 520??...this is absolutely wrong....

  • hong kong is freain huge

  • my skyline ranking as: HK,NY,Chicago,Tokyo, singapore

    and my favorite cities are:

HK, singapore, NY, london , paris/tokyo

i put HK and singapore b4 NY & london becuz

HK and singapore are city states which can be seen as an independency (either geographically, culturally or economically)

while NY & london are only part(or mosaic) of its whole country. (if u look at the map, then u knows)

  • @mapscraper you should see torontos new skyline...most skyscraper construction projects in north america

  • @mapscraper tokyo & singapore skylines are kinda weak. what about las vegas, u dont like our skyline?

  • @LASVEGASGHETTO , i do like las vegeas because its skyline is representative of neon-colorfulness - total difference from mono-color of euro-cities. such like difference of brave new world from old world.

  • Hong Kong 7,613 buildings >90m

New York City 5,581 buildings >90m

    Chicago 1,083 buildings >90m

    Stop trying to misleading us.

  • Hong Kong 7,613 buildings >90m

New York City 5,581 buildings >90m

    Chicago 1,083 buildings >90m

    Stop trying to misleading us.

  • hong kong's skyline is awesome! don't get me wrong manhattan's cool too but america needs to do something like this!

  • HK is the tallest city in the world.

  • HK looks less spectacular seen at daylight, the skyline only from the front at nights looks impressive, grey concrete high storied bunkers that's all!!!

  • Not from Victoria Harbor, nor sunrise.

In Victoria Harbor, they're are as much beautiful colors at daylight as night.

Also, there a LOT of colorful buildings.

Hong Kong isn't just what you see. Hong Kong is also on the other side, and there are a lot of colorful buildings in the other side of Hong Kong, which is called the normal place. The poor place of Hong Kong are all houses, which is full of high rises, but they are houses.

  • hoyl fuck. fucking sickkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • chicago skyline beats them all

    with the new chicago spire!

  • NYC is SOOO boring! Theres like only ONE color Hong Kong is never ending and Dubai will never go over Hong KOng! Dubai has no skylines at all And also, Hong Kong has 5skyscrapers now. Soon-6! Hong Kong has the most highrise in the world. The clouds in Hong Kong are amazing at night. Hong Kong has so much lasershows that NYC doesnt have! Hong Kong has the strongest buildings in the world-just to tell you. What an amazing skyline for HK! HK IS DIFFER EVERYDAY! PRETTIER EVERYDAY! KISS
  • hong kong is too small, jux got only 1,092 km2

    LA got 134,382 km2 lol ^_^

  • Hong Kong has a small limited of land to use, so they want to build the skyline as amazing as possible.

    Americans never "Enjoy" something.

Such as eating dinner with your family.

Eating dinner with your family is hard to get because in 1 day, somebody in your family could die and you could not eat with them anymore.

LA has plenty of empty lands everywhere, so LA would want to save as much materials as possible to build stuff.

Once NYC is underwater, LA would be 2x betetr than NYC.

  • btw, dah HK skycrapers r incredibly cool innit ?

noe y!! cuz, british colonizeee 100yrs,n dah english engineers builtttt those in HK..even till now,som systems n transportation styless r still da same like ( LONDON ) if u guy dun belive u culd check git in google lol ^_^ peace!

  • Skyscrapers and buildings are VERY important to their culture.

China is the largest country in the world by space.

China have so many skyscrapres, that it made space bigger than Russia. China is very big.

Since China have so many people, they need the skyscrapers for themselves to live.

Skyscrapers are used to keep people away form home so houses are more clean, so they dont have to buy more houses and move into new houses.

Hong Kong and LA are both BEST friends.

    Dont blame China!

  • hong kong definently has more of the same color than new york

  • except at night

  • Ive only been up there once!

I heard its like-$100 or $1000 per minute for parking

  • This is no doubt- the world's best skyline. It exemplifies 21st Century architecture.

  • naah hong kong skyline can't be compared with new york. New york is far away to have a 21st century architecture

  • hong kong has the most sky scrapers in the world with 7,000 new york comes in second with 5,000

  • thats so cool, when we went it was a little hazey,

  • Hong Kong and NYC's skylines are my 2 favorites! Both are beautiful in their own way

  • World's best skyline! Hongkong China!

    New York Suck!

  • nice video

  • For all the people comparing NYC with HK.....who cares!!! They're both great cities. I've lived in both and I would say that NYC is more alive during the day...whereas HK has a better nightlife. HK is a little more high energy whereas NYC has a more diverse population. Good qualities of both cities. Now move on from these comparisons and just enjoy the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello,Thats really super view ! Great city !

  • Is hong Kong part of CHina or separate. I just dont understand the relationship between hong kong and China. Someone clarify

  • Hong Kong is quite a special place.Yes,HK was "returned" to China in 1997,named "Hong Kong Special Administrative Region HKSAR".We have both British and Chinese cultures here.

Well,to me,I miss our British features......

  • So hong kong was once part of China, Britain took it over then gave it bac is what u mean. Does Hong Kong though control itself like, does it have just as much freedom as it used to under britain. is it a soverign city or state whatever t is??Cause it would be kinda messed up if hong kong came from beeing free under britain to loosng that freedom as part of china

  • Hong Kong is running "One country, two systems" policy, where capitalists dominate hk & communist dominate China.

When it comes to the freedom,to the economic,it is more or less the same as it was ruled by Britain. However,to the freedom of speech,I think it was getting worse. We have 500000 citizens(out of 7 million ppl) joined the parade to protest against the freedom of general election of the chief executive.

  • Protest against the freedom of general election. I dont understand that. Are they protesting against freedom or against the election of the executive by officials and not the people

  • actually our chief executive is designated by China government.

well, generally speaking,we fight for our democratic rights

  • hong kong has 43 building over 200meter tall and 3 of the world 15 tallest building and if u type in best skyline in the world on google it has like 20 sites saying hk is number 1 lol

  • In the daytime I prefer NYC, but Hong Kong is better at night. Although view from Victoria Harbor is much better.

  • v nice

  • you beauty! love hong kong

  • going there during this summer.. 3 more months:(

  • very nice !! ^^ hong kong is a world city !!

  • going there at the end of the month...

  • I missed HK .. I missed to listen Joies Villanueva..I missed shopping in Nathan Road .... I missed Harbour City , I missed HK Nights..

  • I liked HK too. Nice city

  • sick video

  • how sick? stupid!!

  • I FEEL LIKE I AM A BRUCE LI~!

  • wow.Victoria Peak. I missed it more!

  • I love HK, It's so beautiful

  • WOW!!!

  • Impressive, really a nice video. Thanks!

  • i swear soon that city will have to build a roof so they can continue building

  • awesome city :D

  • amazing...is there room for one more building?

  • I would like to know... how has Hong Kong Changed now that China took back the lease from the UK ? I know back in the 80s there was concern. Can you advise ?

    Nice video by the way.

  • hi there i am hong kong chinese. It has been nearly 10 years since 1997, we never felt we do things in the british way or in the mainland-chinese way neither. we have built a unique lifestyle and culture for ourselves.

government have always adjusting the way dealing with the chinese government and of course, try to satisfy the will of hk people. we live the same and work, make money, enjoy life the same way at all. there is a saying...

"the same way to bet jockey, the same way to dance"! ;)

  • I took a trip there a few years ago. Very very short trip, but I can honestly say it is 50x better than NYC. Way more exciting and alive than NYC. And NY is cool.

  • that city is huge i was thier in 99 and couldnt believe the size, we were so lost and ended up in a british bar

  • If only it was still British

  • I agree. I'm not british either...

  • yup, been there, awesome city! loved "Lam Gwai Fong" and "Tsim Sha Tsui". The HSBC fireworks which shot out fireworks from the top of the buildings was spectacular.

  • I just came back from Hong Kong 2 weeks ago, was my first time there and I absolutely loved it!.. Its soo safe there and the night life is sooo pretty and alive.. would go back anytime.

  • nice video

  • That has got to be the one of the coolest cities. I have to go there some day.

  • I stopped in Hong Kong to change planes once and it was so amazing to see such a super modern city rising up through the clouds! A beautiful sight I'll never forget.

  • good one

  • A very safe city. I remember walking aroung HK side at night.Saw a lot of young girls, probably students, walking by themselves.Couldn't do that in NY.

  • I agree that Kong Kong is a safe city, but I also think that New York has gotten a lot safer. Being a New Yorker, I feel as safe as I would at night in Times Square as I would Kow Loon for example.

  • would people haven't actually been to hong kong please shut the hell up.

  • Hahahaha....I know right.

  • Its unreal that over such a burst of population, you can hear a bird singing away.

  • too much people, too much eating, too much shiting, where goes all that shit?

  • Cool

  • wow..looks amazing. I want to go there! :)

  • very nice!

  • cool

  • bomb it Taliban save our planet

  • What an idiot! If we are ever to be saved it certainly will not be the taliban doing the saving.

  • feng shui

  • WOW!!! Looks as if it could be hot and very overcrowded. Nice footage though.

  • this comment bring a great joy to me at this moment. hah

  • cool skyscrapers

  • oh, i want to go back again!

  • I was there last summer. You never get tired of that view. It's even more amazing at night!

  • superb!!! like stick oso...haha...

  • wow, i'll be there on saturday

  • Superb view.
