Ok why are you doing a "c"...shouldnt this be Flatted to be a minor scale???? This to me is a Eb dorion mode..it is also a form of minor scale....but not THE minor scale. i am not a technical guy...but if you can shed some light on this it would be appreciated..Thank you ...Great stuff by the way!
@patobass2002 I see what you're asking and someone else also asked the same question. I'm by no means a technical theory guy myself, but actually the scale is still minor b/c of the first 3 notes. I used a C instead simply b/c I liked the way that it sounds. Also, it works as well for the lesson idea. In my opinion Music is about what sounds good and how it makes you feel more so than what is or is not "theoretically correct". just my opinion.. thanks for the comment! good question.
@patobass2002 actually there are a few versions of the minor scale. this particular one is dorian minor. you also have natural minor harmonic minor and melodic minor.
Que horror!
