Yeah, but when you've accepted the idiotic idea that Megatron goes from being a 40-50 foot tall robot into a tiny hand-held gun, Astrotrain goes from smaller than Megatron in robot mode to bigger that Devastator in vehicle mode, Soundwave turns into a casette tape player and all the other weird choices for the series... it suddenly makes Skylynx's size in this scene relatively unimportant doesn't it?

That's Skylinx, he combines with a lion-type thing, and turns into a massive aeroplane that can carry all the autobots, and is supposed to be absolutely massive... which explains why he's barely bigger than Optimus Prime in this scene.

Actually, no. The Quintessons are the original creators of the Transformers, so it's safe to say they could revive him, body and mind, if they wanted to. And if his original mind resides in the Matrix, then they probably just pieced his current mind together from what they know about him. After he puts the matrix back (Which he does) then he'll be fully Optimus Prime again.

This was retarded. Season 3 was terrible and ruined the drama of the movie. Rodimus Prime turned out to be a scrub dashing the hopes of the new generation, then they resurrect Optimus (so much for his sacrifice...) and zombify the corpses from the movie before sending them into the sun in the mausoleum. This was the first part of Optimus Prime's return from the dead. Optimus Prime made his first return in Season 3 as a zombie & was about to be destroyed in a spaceship when two humans discovered his remains & retrieved the body. Thanks to the Quintissons, Optimus is back!

He died twice before this. The one you're talking about was when he dies the first time in autobot cuty, where he is intact. However, the second time, he died crashing a ship while it's destroyed, and we see his arm torn off and body shredded.

Every time, on-screen. He dies in the movie at the hands of megatron, he dies again when he's resurected crashing a ship into a sun, then he dies when the japanese took over and we see him shot in the chest, and finally dies AGAIN in a comic called "Kiss Players" (Don't ask).

He dies in Armada, Beast Wars, ROTF, dies twice in the G1 comic book continuity, once in IDW comic continuity--I'd continue, but there isn't enough room in the comments section. Bottom line, he dies a lot.

Look, I'll be the first to admit Cullen is a great voice actor, but you need to give others the chance to bring their own unique take on the character.Transformers Animated, for instance, had a completely different take on him, showing the younger and more inexperienced version of him, but with moments that show the Prime we know and love is in there to be released

No it doesn't, Peter cullen voiced a lot of them, it's true, but Gary Chalk went for just over a decade voicing Optimus Prime (And Primal) from beast machines to Transformers Cybetron, David Kay played Prime in Transformers: Animated (And, incidentally, also played Megatron across from Cullen in the same decade, which I find quite amusing), and a multitude of other voice actors, most of whom don't sound that much alike.

@Mrspikeprime , the Original Voice of Optimus Prime in the original 80's Transformers was the best and in my opinion the only true voice of Optimus Prime that no one can replace. all other voice actors may have taken over the role but only Peter Cullen was and allways will be Optimus Prime. It's the same with Bugs Bunny and company only Mel Blanc is the true voice of those characters.

But after the movie a lot of people, mostly parents complained about the whole 'death' in cartoon's scarring their precious snowflakes for life, so the producers brought Otimus back. But later on they found out that the series wasn't doing so well so they decided to go on with the original plan of killing off Optimus to bring in a new Prime and give the series new life.
