@spicyfetus No, Bush and Smashing Pumpkins were known more for theyre alternative side but came out during the time grunge flourished though they did dabble in it. Mother Love Bone, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden were really the catalysts and none of those bands sucked dude. They had a more primal sound because of the low-tech shit they were known for. It gave the music character.
