  • It'smore hygienic to just use your hands when making it instead of usinga fork all over the place, + having the plastic touching the sandwich it self, you never know who/what has touched that plasticwrapping

  • sub stands for submarine!? I had no idea...

  • @dedpxl Yes; here's what wikipedia says about it: A submarine sandwich, also known as a sub among other names, is a sandwich that consists of a long roll of Italian or French bread, split lengthwise either into two pieces or opened in a "V" on one side, and filled with various varieties of meat, cheese, vegetables, seasonings, and sauces.

  • u must read this. once u have started there is no turning back. a little 10 year old girl was raped and murderded in 1945. her body was not found until 1947. then a boy last week read this and did not copy and paste this message. the dead girl appeared in his room haunting him and killed him. if you do not copy and paste this onto 10 vidoes in 30 minutes the dead girl will apear in your room tonight and haunt you and kill you. well you better start to copy and paste to be saved

  • Sure! The type of ham does not matter! The old-fashioned ham will be great! Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • What a sandwich! I bet you have a fat family!

  • No, we're not too fat...Most of my recipes are made with low fat/low sugar products, and we eat small portions/no snacks!

  • I get that a lot--there must be some really hungry guys out there! Thanks for the compliment!

    --Betty :)

  • this may be a silly question

won't the meat go bad after a few days even if you freeze it?

  • The meat will stay fresh while it is in the freezer, and be just as good every time you get some of the sandwich out to eat as when you put it in. It's only when you store it in the refrigerator that you should only eat it for about 3 days. (I rely on the freezer for all the food I have left over, and it's perfect when I decide to get it out for a meal!) Thanks for your question!

    --Betty :)

  • i love your outfit and especially the belt :) and of course you always do such a wonderful job. thanks for all these videos :)

  • Hi Kim! Thanks for watching and for trying the sandwich! Also, I really appreciate your feedback! Thanks so much!!!

    --Betty :)

  • Could you bake this, like with your philly beef torpedo sandwich? If so, how long and at what temperature would you do so?

  • This would be wonderful baked in the oven--except I would not include the pickle slices. Just put both halves on a baking pan, filling side up, making sure there is cheese on top of each one. Then, bake at 350 for about 10 to 15 minutes. Keep watching it, and when it begins to get brown and bubbly, it's done! Thanks for the great idea!

    --Betty :)

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • I'm happy for this recipe to be on ChefCommons!

    --Betty :)

  • My girlfriend and I made this today. Very simple to make, tastes great. The only problem we had was it's hard to eat, it falls apart as you eat it. Still, well worth the mess.

    Thanks Betty. = )

  • Thanks for trying it! I cut it in about 1-inch pieces, and it is hard to hold on to, but again, worth it! Thanks for viewing, trying it, and commenting!

  • That looks so much nicer than from Subway!

    Cheaper too!

Is ice tea the same as sweet tea?

  • Iced tea may be sweet or unsweetened. If you order "sweet tea" in a restaurant, it will come, sweetened with sugar. If you order "unsweetened tea," it will be the very same tea, but no sugar. Then you may drink it as is, or add your own sugar or artificial sweetener. Both are served in a tall glass with ice, and usually a slice of lemon. Thanks for your question, and thanks for your compliment!

    --Betty :)

  • Wow. I will make that this weekend!

  • It is super easy and really good! Enjoy! Thanks for commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • Hi Mrs.Betty, Looks Good!!!!!

  • Thanks! And thanks for viewing and commenting!

    --Betty :)

  • What do you think about wrapping this in foil and baking it? Would it be a big mess? Or would it be nice???? I am pondering.....

  • We have done that. It tastes great, better than cold. It's not too messy, but the cream cheese becomes a little runny. If you substitute another cheese for the cream cheese (or just leave it out), the sandwich will be *great* heated! Thanks for bringing the idea up--you an also microwave it, a piece at a time. Thanks, Patsy.

    --Betty :)

  • Great! Betty, please use your hands. We all do, no one minds! My Nanny always said hands came before forks. I believe she was right.

  • Thanks--that makes me feel better! Thanks for viewing and commenting!
