Bought the gorillapod slr zoom and a camera head for it. It just works great with my nikon d40 which weights about 1000 grams when i have the 200mm -55mm objective attached to it. If you buy the gorillapod slr zoom you also need the camera head.

The Gorillapod is great, I just have to point out that even with a 'posh' tripod you should use a cable release of self timer!
