@didiermaza It's an e-bow, it gets rid of the decay that a guitar normally has.  In essence it sustains the note indefinitely.

@Obstacle11 Andrew Miller left almost exactly a year after this show. He was an incredible drummer with a great sense of fluidity. If your ears need fills, just play the triplet at 3:11 on loop. Any professional drummer knows complexity does not a 'better' musician make, though I know that's not exactly what you meant. :P The songs are simple for a reason, if you haven't watched any interviews. For me, his patterns compliment the style of the music, but I respect your point. Look up 'Purdie'. :)
