The best thing about Glenn Danzig is the fact that he constantly tries new things. I can't but appreciate every album he has ever laid his hands on. Think if he would've had Type O Negatives ambition to try something new. He would still be doing Misfits stuff. We would've missed Samhain and Danzig. Embrace and enjoy.

Danzig 4 was also epic due to songs like Dominion and Let it be captured. This was the time were it was all thrash metal, power metal, metallica, gnr, skidrow, etc, etc.. being the flavor of the time. From Misfits, Danzig's entry in the metal scene was a refreshing one at the time. Kinda like Type O negative when they came.
Though this is a great song I wasn't that fond of this album. Ofcourse 'bringer of death' and 'going down to die' were great too, and 'Brand new God' was ok but that's about it for me.

However the real fact is based in his hardworking. Glenn is a guy who likes dark and creepy stuff. and also enjoy the making off thing. So I believe that he was very into his videos and wanted things to look more simple to get a classic rate. So I think the old videos got a dark and great vibe.

"Can't speak" is one of the worst video's i've ever seen, Danzig stands there trying his best to look sexy while a chocolate "whopper" rolls around the terrible CGI room, haha. I don't mind the pain is bad for the photo style poses at the end...

Though this is a great song I wasn't that fond of this album. Ofcourse 'bringer of death' and 'going down to die' were great too, and 'Brand new God' was ok but that's about it for me.

I agree most of Danzig videos are low budget and everything if you compare with popular stuff...
However the real fact is based in his hardworking. Glenn is a guy who likes dark and creepy stuff. and also enjoy the making off thing. So I believe that he was very into his videos and wanted things to look more simple to get a classic rate. So I think the old videos got a dark and great vibe.

Well if you think his videos are shit it really doesn't matter to me, the problem with people is that most of them don't get what bands are trying to pass as a "message", don't understand their purpose. That's the why we have so many crap cartoons, movies and of course music nowadays.
I've seen On a Wicked Night, and if you were talking about it I agree with you, however it's not the idea that went wrong but the video itself. But "his videos are shit" doesn't get me.

"I'm the one?" That song is an ego trip if ever i saw one, haha, its him sitting there with a hot woman dancing behind him while he bellows "i'm the one." "Can't speak" is one of the worst video's i've ever seen, Danzig stands there trying his best to look sexy while a chocolate "whopper" rolls around the terrible CGI room, haha. I don't mind the pain is bad for the photo style poses at the end...

If you actually look up the word "pretentious" none of those defenitions describe what i'm doing, haha, If i said, "Those Danzig video's are much too childish for me," then yeah, that'd be pretentious. But i said "Those Danzig video's are shit," and then i gave you my reasons for why i hold that opinion, and if you look around, a lot of people agree with me. Danzigs video's are ridiculous, i bet there's a lot of bands/musicians/singers whose video's you think are terrible too.

Infact, its more than slightly ironic that you'd call me pretentious when you're sitting there talking about how great Danzig is, he's one of the most pretentious rock stars out there in a list that holds names such as Mike Patton and Maynard James Keenan. I like Danzig, but he's a bit of a douche and his video's are terrible.
