  • cool story, history channel xD

    love the tommygun, gimme one!

  • Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong...NIEN! The Bergman mp18 was the first submachine gun. Made in Germany in 1918. The Tommy gun was made in 1920.

  • @thehumangunstore Wrong. The first Tommy gun was made in 1919. The model of 1919 Thompson submachine gun. Which was the production version, no sights or adjustable sights.

  • @thehumangunstore the first tommygun prototype was i think 1914, HA!

then it became more famous in the 1920s

and was used allll the way up to the 90s believe it or not, well they simply used those that were already made since it was a badass weapon. the mp18 was just a piece of shit, nobody cared about it xD

  • i want to write my name on a wall with thisgun

  • I thought the first SMG was the MP18...

  • At 1:50 the Thompson should have way more recoil than it does in the video.

  • This blue Print is slightly wrong, when the thompson was created it didnt have the cuts compensater it had a small sight like the M1A1 Model

  • at 0:53 the narrator says "this was the first submachinegun", but thats not exactly true guns like the Mp-18 (we could argue that C-96 model 712 is a submachinegun but its just a fully automatic pistol) were around way before the thompson.

  • those were true gangsters and the true weapon of choice

  • Ahh, Back when gangsters were REAL. Not stupid niggers with glocks, rap, and cursing too much.

  • @Zvesda took the words right out of my mouth.

  • i would choose the thompson in front of any modern weapon anydayyeah:,D!!!!

  • i love tommy guns,trench broom,chopper,chicago typwriter awesome gun.

  • @warmachine866 yup, i have one model 1928A1 with 50 round drum mag, it rocks in full auto..

  • @cardingsungkit69 im getting a airsoft tommy gun today!

  • nice

  • The hitman uses Colt M1921A Thompson, Without the compensator.

  • what's the model call with the compensator?

  • @QQ20034 The first Model of Thompson with Compensator is Colt Thompson M1921AC, The one without compensator Colt Thompson M1921A. in 1928 they develop Thompson M1928, It has less fire power. While the M1921's version has better fire power.

  • @HabboMafiaRpg is there any M1928 without compensator ?

  • @QQ20034 Nope. The M1928 only comes with compensator, M1921 Comes with the version of non-compensator and compensator. I prefer to use the M1921 version. It has better fire power.

  • one of my fave smgs

  • this weapon is awosome, jeje, good, bye

  • am confounded, are the gatling and tommy gun related? my godson is named tommy gun ..... please educate me - thanks

  • @AMASSEY1000 fuck no. the original gatling gun was made long before tge tommy was, i want to say in the late 1800's. there is really nothing simmilar with the 2

  • the first submachine gun...th e germans invented it

  • The Italians actually created the first submachinegun. The Germans created the first successful submachine gun.

  • Italian villar perosa

  • What model did the guy shooting thompson used?

  • What is the thompson drum mag called? 1928 thompson 1921 or 1927?

  • The 50 round drum was called the "L Mag" and the 100 round drum was called the "C Mag" after Roman numerals. But they were heavy, expensive, complex, they rattled, they were a bitch to load, and they could be emptied in 3 to 7 seconds of continues fire (something the military rightfully calls "a waste of ammo") and the guns had to be specificaly made to accept them (something that also brought up complexity and cost). It was for those reasons that Thompsons didn't have drum mags in World War 2.

  • Thanks buddy!

  • "L"

  • the first submachinebun was the german bergman mp 18 it was used at the end of world war one it fired a 9mm round thats still used in many pistols and smg´s

  • wats that thing on the barrel in 1:48

  • muzzle break id say

  • It wasnt the first submachine gun.

The first was the German Bergman mp18

  • no, first designed, not first made

  • banana

  • I think one of its innovations is the large calibre bullets it fires

  • because the bad guys have shit aim, and the good guys take one shot, and do the job

  • ok u evr play gta.u no how sumtimes wen ur bored u just go out and spray evrything that moves and the cops shoot u and not peds.thats y.cus u wanna kill evrythin and cops wanna kil u.

  • I WANT ONE OF THESE

  • @MEMOHULK its bad i prefer modern gun such as ak47 which is really good in any condition, no jam ...

  • @quangluu96 the ak47 is not a modern gun my friend. it was invented in 1947.

  • cus they got stylez

  • my explanation would be: the bad guys spray and pray to create terror and confusion among the pesdestrians (send people screaming and running) to confuse the cops, and to get away easily.

The cops, however, don't want this and they don't want to kill civilians so they just go for "one shot one kill". If ONE accurate shot is enough to kill the bad guys, why need 50?

  • Depraved-heart murder is an American legal term for an action that demonstrates a "callous disregard for human life" and results in death. In most states, depraved heart killings constitute either second-degree murder or first-degree manslaughter.

    Examples might be:

Piloting a motorboat at high speed through a crowded swimming area on a lake.

Shooting a gun randomly at a bus with passengers aboard.

Speeding in a car to the right of a school bus that is unloading children.

  • good vidz dude

  • no, the first was the " Villar Perosa" a twin barreled SMG for 9mm parabellum.. had a shield used like a heavy MG... development resulted in the Villar Perosa OVP

  • In the video it states that this was the first sub machinegun - which is not true. I believe the narrator may be talking about the fact that the Thompson was America's first sub, but it definitely is not the first one ever designed and used. The first true sub gun was an Italian-made weapon. Then the Bergmann came out of Germany after that, and then the Thompson was built and issued. Oh well.

  • These weapons are classed as "machine pistols". Thompson invented the term submachinegun, so it could arguably be called the first in that regard. We're splitting hairs here though...also while those other guns we're issued before the Thompson, its development goes back to at least 1916 so it may indeed preceed them...

  • While the Tommy gun was a great gun it had bad things about it like it was very expensive and very heavy for SMG.

  • How stupid.

  • Ah Gangsters back when the word was spelled correctly!

  • i thought the first sub machine gun was the mp18

  • true, even if the italians developed something similar earlier

the Bergmann MP18 was the first sub machine gun and it was developed in 1915 already

  • does it only feed from the Drum or can you use a stick mag?

  • It uses both.

  • The Colt Thompson M1921 and Thompson M1928a1 and M1928 did all accept a 100 round and 50 round drum magazine and the 30 and 20 round stick magazine. The M1a1 and M1 only the 20 and 30 round. That's why the Thompson is to me the best gun ever made. It's just too good to get used by unexperienced people.

  • Have you ever fired the M1 Thomson???You can actually see the bullets weaken and fall down

  • i haven't but ive fired guns of that caliber "45-ACP" and yeah they definitely fall out of the air quick cause their pistol cartridges are short with extremely heavy bullets you can see the marks going across the dirt from the bullets after about 100-150 yards =).

  • That's what real gangsters use.

  • i dont even know how to describe your fail

  • Wow 3 months later this comment does look stupid...so nvm

  • I wasn't the first; the Germans already used the MP18 in WWI.

  • yeah. the first submachine gun is Schmeisser MPi 18 but the famous submachine gun is tommy gun. they changed and made into thompson gun. they then never use the drum magazine cos it can prone to more jamming so they use the 30 round box magazine

  • Comment removed

  • nope they were not made before WW1, otherwise they would have been put into army service

the first submachine gun is the german Bergmann MP18

  • guy cant even hold it

  • thats badass

  • what are you smoking?

  • He´s right, the first machine pistol was the Schmeisser MPi 18.

  • damn gangsters...

  • Drum magazine > box magazine

  • A box magazine is actually a Standard magazine, as it is shaped as a box, but the big magazines are Drum magazines, since there are no m249 mags for example: m4a1.

  • why do all the vids have japanese subtitles??

  • is chinese

  • its pirated, dont you know

  • is there a pt. two???

  • drum mags are the best

  • when the tommy gun is side view you can't think

wheter that is a detachable magazine or a drum magazine

  • the drum mag has a shorter side profile

  • I want pone

  • it's basically an updated version of the ppsh, all steel construction with a folding stock like the mp40 so it's lighter and a more reliable firing mechanism so it doesn't accidentally go off if you drop, a problem that the ppsh had

  • the ppd was better than the ppsh

  • sorry I meant to say pps-43 not ppd

  • is that the one also used in Call of duty 2 where the Russains have 2 smg one with the round mag. and the other with a banana mag.?

  • yes, the ppsh is the one with the drum mag and fixed wooden stock and the pps is the one with a box mag and folding metal stock.

  • in ww2 it only held 20-30 shots per round. they didn't have the circlualr cartidge

  • don't you mean circular magazine? people usually call it a drum magazine

  • yes, but only because the drum magazines weren't government issue.

  • Actually they were, especially when the thompson first saw action in WWII as a trench fighting weapon. Soldiers just ended up preferring box mags over drum mags because of ease of carrying and more reliable feed.

  • I meant to say WWI

  • there were NO thompson sub machine guns in World War One, PERIOD

even the B.A.R. saw very little use in that war

  • yes but in the movie windtalkers at the first part of the movie where nicholas cage was at the solomon islands his magazine was a drum magazine

  • that is so strange man i just watched wind talkers lmao weird

  • im replying to my self

  • I might be wrong but i think the Marines had the drum mag. for shooting through the Jungle to flush out Japs or kill them. The Army didnt used it though.

  • Thompson's Thompson is the best gun.... offical nazi killer

  • Quick Poll:

Who likes the stick Magazine or the wheel cartrige?

    Under full auto of course.

  • Wheel!!! with the additional handle...why? 1920's gangsters!

  • Wouldn't the spring like totally wear out after like 2 full drum mags?

  • Not realy! If the metalergy is right, and there are no weakening flaws, the spring will last for 100,000 cycles of more.

  • 100,000 cycles? is that 100,000 rounds or 100,000 clips?

  • rounds

  • thank you for posting this!

  • not to infultrate :U

  • um..

some of that isnt accurate. Thomson actually wanted to have a automatic weapon that only one soldier could operate and light weight.. so.. they r teh sux

  • I used to watch the Discovery and History channels all the time when I was younger. Thanks for helping me remember why!

  • nice

  • me f....uck!!

  • me three !

  • me too

  • I always look forward to your uploads.
