  • this is absolutely brilliant he's like the bob ross of the chalk world i will be trying some of these for sure, you should create a facebook page where people can upload their drawings using his style would be great to see :)

  • He does have a great voice for teaching.

  • Usually, my art looks unnatural because i can't put my pictures from my mind onto paper, and i had an art project that i needed to draw an animal that represents myself with a scenery background. managed to get the animal with tracing paper, but i used this lesson (which so easily explained)and i won the competition plus i got an A+ for it. Thx, and i will always be inspired by Jon Gnagy. Everyone can draw!

  • This is great thanks a lot.

  • I do like his art, but the thing about it is that it was very bold, and didn't have much decoration, but a very talented artist! :)

  • I like his art, but the thing about it, is his drawing's were very bold, and not much detail, although a talented artist! :)

  • I used to watch him when I was a kid in the early 60s in Detroit. I got one of his kits for Christmas one year. My grandmother was kind enough to display some of the results in her home.

  • Great tutorial, enjoyed to watch it. Thank you!!!

  • life jus simply simpler and better in those black n white days....appreciation to our forefathers fr every thing they have done in contribution to e society, cheers~

  • Wow! Thoughts of Jon Gnagy just popped into my head the other day. I so much enjoyed watching his art/drawing program each Saturday morning on my local NYC TV station. As someone else said in their comment, Jon Gnagy was the '50's version of Bob Ross, another man who creates great memories. A very warm thank you to Exprex for making this stable, high-quality footage available for all to enjoy. Thank you!

  • I just now ran across your kind words (written a year ago!), and I appreciate your regard for my father's work. He really cared about his teaching, and it would please him greatly to know that his work is still enjoyed and appreciated. PGS

  • art class should be like this

  • hes like bob ross

  • You're quite welcome, Ms. Seymour...I've been enjoying

instructional materials by Jon Gnagy for years (drawing

and painting outfits, etc.) and finally, I thank you and

YouTube for the opportunity to return my FULL GRATITUDE!

  • In an time when the majority of television programs

were sent and received in black-and-white, Jon Gnagy

showed great coolness. He rendered his compositions

in black, dark grey and light grey. Absence of color

posed no handicap to the master!

  • Thanks for your kind comments about my dad and those innocent black and white days. Life was simpler in those eaerly days of television. Polly Gnagy Seymour
