  • I have been trying to become more knowlegable about politics. There is critictisiam of African American that we seem to compulsivly be Democratic. I decided that for me this may be true. I have actually agreed with Ron Paul on occasion. I wonder if he has changed bigoted views what actions has he taken before his running that shows this?

  • @cynt123able Maybe 1% of his newsletters came out under his name with racial undertones..but the articles in question were written by James B Powell. He has disavowed them. He doesn't endorse them and it's far from what he feels/thinks. He's the only Republican that speaks about the fact rich white rarely get the death penalty, or long jail sentences while minorities do, for the same crimes.

  • nobama 2012!!!

    ron paul 2012!

  • When the Islamic Republic of Iran has nuclear weapons you will soon see that threat they pose to the west - but by then it will be too late.

  • War is about MONEY...nothing else!

  • Ron Paul's son, truly a loose wingnut & one thing I find troubling is that in most cases, like father like son. Surely the son got a lot from dad. Paul has SOME good ideas, but he's scary in other areas. Hey, why not do a video on what would REALLY change things, something that's touched on occasionally but not with any real vigor (and it will never come from congress): the MONEY. As long as we allow our supposed reps to prostitute themselves to big business, we're doomed. Focus on that.

  • Its very encouraging that Paul is getting a lot of consideration in spite of a concerted msm attempt to marginalize and discredit his campaign. Nice presentation.

  • Correction: "You're"

  • Your brain dead

  • @DADLANDSHOW

Ron Paul was one of only four Congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan's campaign for President. It proves him as deceitful and a moron. You endorse his Voodoo Economics to deregulate business & globalization.

We already know his plans to eliminate Federal taxes result in HUGE INCREASES in State AND local taxes as occurred under Reagan.

Trickle down economics is a sham. Through deregulation, Anarchistic Capitalism establishes an Oligarchy. This is Ron Paul's plan. Ignorant fool.

  • @yourtreat2 And that's your opinions.

  • @yourtreat2 Wow do you actively mention things you know nothing about? Ron Paul supported Reagan's message up until he saw Reagan in action as President. Hence, the reason Ron Paul left the Republican Party to run for President in 1988 as a Libertarian. He was deeply unsatisfied with Reagan and had a letter of resignation from the GOP to boot.

  • @DADLANDSHOW

Ron Paul gave unwavering support for Reagan's "Voodoo Economics"

(Anarchistic Capitalism), the objective being the demise of the Lower & Middle Classes, Education & 40 yrs of progressive Social Programs.

    "Anarchistic Capitalism": Defined:as:

1)The deregulation of ALL business & unregulated globalization, ultimately resulting in the demise of domestic infrastructure to decimated the Lower & Middle Classes.

    2) Ensure an Oligarchy controls the US & ALL wealth

No self respecting Atheist would vote for a Christian Fundamentalist that would allow States to decide to teach Creationism in Science class. Moreover, there is an abundance of material written by RP when he was a Congressman. NOT 1 document, but many.that CLEARLY show him to be a self admitted racist. Only the most uninformed African-American would vote for RP

  • Americans have a choice between the Penguin and the Joker for President :S

  • Ron Paul is for smaller military and a balanced budget, that's good enough for me. Change has to start somewhere.

  • The only issue I have with Ron Paul is he misrepresents what a scientific theory is and treats evolution like it is a religion that is belief based. Evolution is based on observable data and supported by facts, that is what makes it a scientific theory and not a hypothesis. Ron Paul is a medical doctor, it breaks my brain that someone who should be trained in science by requirement of his profession can be so ignorant on how scientific process works and what the definition of a theory is.

  • I agree. Ron is the most honest politician I've known. And at times it telling people what they need to hear instead of what they want to hear. That's what set Paul aside from the other GOP candidates. Its a shame that the people in Iowa and New Hampshire can't figure that out.

  • While I agree with most of Ron Paul's foreign policy. His domestic policy is quite idiotic. "Education is not a right." "Congress should never prohibit the expression of your christian faith in a public place." "People do not have the right to privacy." "Evolution is a scientific theory, one which I do not accept." The second to last one was in regards to sodomy laws. All of these were said during the current campaign.

  • @Jonstern1983 You're very misinformed.. You've obviously never even bothered to go look at the mans website where he goes over his stances on the issues... I assume that you're deliberately attempting to mislead those who aren't familiar with the man. You make "quotes" here that the man has NEVER stated.

  • @kastnmagic They were recorded. There are videos of him saying them.

  • good points i agree 100%

  • @electroscandal lol... that was funny man... thanks for your "intellectual" comments...

  • obama ftw

  • @EikC those issues are not important to the majority right now... not even the more important war on drugs is on the forefront... the country's financial problems are... the country's military bullying is... you are worrying about your wrinkled shirt in the middle of a bad car accident... not smart... worry about what really matters instead of selfish wishes...

  • @elseptimo77 shut up faggot

  • Well said my brother...

  • Of course I'm no expert on politics, but I saw a video the other day on youtube called "Chinese Soldiers in Texas" I think it was, and I agree he seems very honest about his work.

  • @mabvsfd same shit. His isolationist or non-intervention shit is crap. Call it whatever you like but it means the same thing.

  • @UnforgivingDemon not really. isolationism is completely closing down the borders including things like trade. paul is more for real free trade across borders than any of the other candidates.

  • @UnforgivingDemon I meant to put not a kooky nut like Paultard.

  • Huntsman is also ok for the most part but he won't win though. Mitt is really the only GOP candidate who has a chance of beating Obama.

  • Does not matter becuase Mitt Romney is wining as he is the only sane and moderate republican running. He is the most electable and a kooky nut job like Paultard.

  • Ron Paul would allow any State to discriminant as they like.

Ron Paul wrote many bigoted comments on his blog and made money off of it.

Search Ron Paul racist homophobic blog and read for yourself. He is a bigot and homophobic.

  • @itsasin1969 really? the one republican candidate not opposed to gay marriage is a homophobe. hmm weird. the one republican candidate that is against the drug war because he knows the war is racist. hmm weird. "14% of the people in the US who use drugs are black yet 64% of the people thrown into jail for drug use are black. the drug war is a war against inner city minorites and its not right" --ron paul

  • @21golden007

Ron Paul IS against gay marriage. He supported DOMA, which defines marriage at the federal level. This makes him not only a homophobe due to the content of this act, but a hypocrite because I've heard him talk over and over about how the federal government should stay out of the marriage business.

  • awesomeness, great vid

  • Ron is really catching on, people from all over the world are making these vids

  • I respect Ron Paul basic position but he has issues to overcome himself and supporters can't seem to deal with

  • Huntsman seems the better candidate, especially when it comes to economic solutions and foreign policy. And at least he's less likely to cut science research.

  • He doesn't care what he says because he knows that he is unelectable. And, he may have a sexy foreign policy but he doesn't believe in welfare and other programmes to help poor people, so his economic policy is shambolic.

  • While I might agree with some of Paul's ideas (eg. the Federal Reserve), his core values, though honorable, would make the REAL problem with government even worse. In fact, the "states rights" debate becomes irrelevant considering that elected officials, from the federal level on down, are all bought and paid for; ergo, legislation goes to the highest bidder. Corporations own it all and yet Paul supports the Citizen's United decision, which means that he indeed believes that money equals speech.

  • very good points..good talk

  • I don't like Ron Paul. I don't agree with most of his views. That said, I think Ron Paul is the best option for president this election.

  • Not feeling him. Nope.

  • Saying he was homophobic at one point in his life is giving him too much credit.

He bragged about introducing legislation that would prevent challenges to DOMA on one of his campaign fliers. His Iowa state director is Mike Heath (former activist for the hate group "Americans for Truth About Homosexuality" He is fine with "state rights" approach to marriage, but only for LGBT couples. He said he would have voted on DOMA in 1996 if he could have. He opposes ENDA.

  • Thanks for the video - a well considered opinion I happen to agree with. I hope Ron Paul gets up - but something in me is telling me he won't. Damn politics!

  • @mal1067ry He's just come in 2nd in New Hampshire... He's ABSOLUTELY electable and he CAN BEAT OBAMA... You're going to start hearing the "unelectable" and "can't beat Obama" song and dance now that he's proven to be serious competition. It's meant to mislead you and cause you not to vote for him. They figure that if they say it enough then some people will start to believe it. Don't fall for that. He has a HUGE amount of support.

  • @mal1067ry well you might want to check his voting record for yourself because from what i checked he wont allow gays to adopt and he is fine with businesses making it so a certain race has to enter from a certain door if they want as well as places to have whites only pools and stuff like that i have the links saved if you want them and dont feel like doing the research yourself hes not a well considered option he is a scary option

  • Fuck Ron Paul he will not win!

  • Comment removed

  • @UnforgivingDemon that depends on how many people vote for him, right?

  • Ron Paul does seem like the only honest candidate.

  • @temujin1234 He most definitely is the ONLY man with INTEGRITY ... If you have questions about his ideas or where he stands on issues that are important to you, please inquire with me and I'll be happy to help you to locate your answer. You don't want to make the mistake of running into an ill-informed person via opinionated blog sites. Also, you can visit RonPaul2012(dot)com

  • I might not agree with your position, but it's good to see your back Dadland. I hope you start up with the weekly videos again

  • @DADLANDSHOW Bravo! You're getting it.

  • I DON'T SEE HOW PEOPLE DO NOT SEE WHAT HAS TO BE DONE. EVERY THING RON PAUL SAYS ABOUT THE ECONOMY AND GOVERNMENTS ROLE IN SOCIETY AS A WHOLE IS RIGHT, LOOK AT WHATS GOING ON IN THE WORLD SEE HOW IT STARTED AND REASERCH HOW TO FIX IT.

RON PAUL IS THE ONLY ONE UP ON STAGE WHO IS SPEAKING THE TRUTH IF YOU DON'T AGREE YOU NEED TO TAKE A CLOSER LOOK AND DEEPER RESERCH AND YOU'LL SEE HE'S RIGHT AND HE BEEN SAYING IT SINCE BEFORE ALOT OF THESE PROBLEMS EXISTED, NO ONE ELSE HAS YOU GOTTA WAKE UP

  • @zombie2093 I couldn't agree more... RON PAUL 2012!!

  • Ron Paul 2012!!!!!!!

  • this guy gets it more than most american's, maybe its because he actually cares.

  • Ron Paul FTW in South Carolina !

  • The problem with Ron Paul is that his views on states' rights would be fucking catastrophic for a country like the united states. His policies would enable Creationists to indoctrinate children in science class, to discriminate against homosexuals, etc. The only answer I've heard from the Paulians on this issue is -- Freedom. If you don't like your state doing this, move out. This is, of course, asinine. Yet they seem oblivious to this.

Don't even get my started on Ron's opposition to the EPA.

  • @EikC Touché, he'd not be happy if the federal government controls your life, but he's fine with the states' governments do it. This election spoils down to who's less crazy than who, that's what Obama running on btw. Where the hell are all the good candidates?

  • @EikC Whoa... I'm an ardent atheist and I'm going to let you know that you are WAY OFF BASE here... WHERE are you getting your very twisted information? Obviously you know nothing about the man other than what you must have picked up from some others very ill-informed or deliberately twisted blog...

  • @kastnmagic paxamericana(dot)tumblr(dot)com/post/13507194341

What about his recent writings and official voting records? And yes, this is someone's blog.

  • @KnightXXI Wow... They are seriously misinforming you and whomever else reads that blog...Maybe it's deliberate move... I don't think that's at all "OK" to do to those who read that blog. I'm sure there are ppl who read it and feel they can trust this person and they're being taken for a ride..Being played a fool...

  • @kastnmagic I don't read that blog. I save that particular part as a favorite in my browser. Anti-RonPaul blogs are just as offensive as the extremist Paulbots(not everyone supports Ron Paul is one, but you get the point). Well, I don't know what to say, those were the links to his official voting records and writings, they have a lot to say about his views on different issues. As for the election, I'm not voting for any at the present, include Obama. So enjoy your support for RP.

  • @kastnmagic

I don't need to read the blogs' opinion of Ron Paul -- His "We The People" act is very, very indicative of what is wrong with him.

  • @EikC "We The People Act" removes what should legally be judicial from executive. Having the feds have jurisdiction over these issues in the WRP Act is VERY DANGEROUS. I don't think you comprehend what the purpose of the WTP Act is and more importantly WHY it's so important to make the legal move. I'm an ATHEIST, a PRO-CHOICER, I support the rights of individuals to make their own choices. You should take the time to find out much more about this subject b/c you don't see the big picture.

  • @EikC I am sorry but this doesn't make any sense. The constitution gives rights to the states to make their own laws. If the federal government made a law defining marriage as between a man and woman, the state can still legalize gay marriage. If someone is being discriminated it is up to that person to bring it to light with evidence in a court of law. Just because we have laws preventing discrimination now doesn't mean it still doesn't happen.

  • @EikC White cops planting drugs in cars of minorities to arrest them. The majority of people in jail for non violent drug crimes are minorities even though more white people do illegal drugs than minorities and he wants to pardon them all. You walk into Abercrombie & Fitch and look at the people that work there, they even discriminate based on physical appearance.

  • @MattResponds "white cops planting drugs in cars of minorities" - "more white people do illegal drugs than minorities" - Not quite but close. Dr. Paul see's that the "War on Drugs" has caused more problems, more crime, & more people being locked up for non-violent drug crimes. The majority of those doing time for non-violent drug crimes are minorities; the laws unfairly target minorities. This causes even more problems that extend far-reaching. There are millions that agree w/him.

  • @MattResponds - I'm not a person who you would ever imagine would support a position on ending the drug war but after having listened to Dr. Paul and studied his arguments on this and the related issues, I am now a full supporter on legalizing drugs. My father, retired Special Agent SW Field Div ATF agrees w/Dr. Paul as well. This subject extends far/wide w/2much to discus in 400 characters but I see a real solution to many problems by taking this stance.

  • @EikC "His policies would enable Creationists to indoctrinate children in science class".... You're VERY wrong here. Dr. Paul keeps his personal religious beliefs to himself. He can't be a champion of individual rights and freedoms and in the same breath push policies as your stating. It makes ZERO sense b/c there's no sense in your assertions. Dr. Paul is also a staunch home school supporter. Parents have a right to teach their own children. Even THAT doesn't align w/what you've stated.

  • @kastnmagic

Have you read his "We The People" act? This horrible piece of legislation would effectively annul landslide precedents like Kitzmiller vs. Dover, Mclean vs. Arkansas, and Roe v. Wade for that matter. With Federal courts and the Supreme Court unable to get involved in state matters, what I described is exactly what would be possible if crazy Ron had this nonsense introduced. You really should go and read it.

  • Ron Paul isn't and never has been a racist... This has been "debunked" many, many times over the last 2 decades. Nevertheless, the opposing candidates chose to take a situation and spin it the best they could in an attempt to use the black community against him. It didn't work... They tried this stunt previously as well. I'm happy to point you in the direction of EMPIRICAL evidence which validates this. Just post your inquiry...

  • You might want to check this out.

    paxamericana(dot)tumblr(dot)com/post/13507194341

Have a look of his official voting records, and recent writings.

The only things that I can agree with Ron Paul are the war on drugs and the withdrawal of troops all overseas, and the repeal of the Patriot Act, NDAA. But on the social issues, no way.

  • @KnightXXI You don't agree because you are very uninformed. That's clear.. I suggest that you not go to an Anti-Ron Paul blog to look at the mans voting record when you can find a FACTUAL voting record at: thomas (dot) loc(dot) gov/home/thomas(dot)php I'd also suggest that if you want to know about a candidate, that you not get your information from an opinionated blog/vlog... That's just common sense...

  • @kastnmagic I don't know what to say. Did you even click on those highlighted texts? Those are his official voting records and his fairly recent writings on a libertarian websites. Btw, those links lead to thomas(dot)loc(dot)gove if you even bothered clicking on those in the first place. I'm for ending wars on drug and overseas. Other than that, thanks but no thanks.

  • who's Ron Paul?

  • Ron Paul may have an interesting policy in some regards, but has frequently demonstrated his ignorance concerning various important issues. If there is such a thing as a vote-able Republican candidate, I'd have to say it's Jon Huntsman - he's the only intelligent candidate they have to offer this year around.

  • @AlexRider001 I agree, the guy has experience dealing with China. Too bad, he's too sane for Republicans.

  • @AlexRider001 "ignorance concerning various important issues" ..... I don't think anyone who's informed about Ron Paul would have a clue about what you're talking about. Please do give validity to your claim... :)

  • @kastnmagic see my response to 21golden007

  • @AlexRider001 ignorance concerning what important issues might i ask??

  • @21golden007 Well first of all, he would appear to be a truther oO

Second of all, his foreign isolationism policy would drive the US into ruin.

Third of all, most of the promises he makes are simply naive and unattainable - take his promise to cut 1 trillion on the budget, for example. They would fail simply because he DOES NOT HAVE the authority or the majority to push them through. Does he seriously believe that everybody in Washington would obey his every presidential order?

  • @AlexRider001 You mistake the difference between "isolationism" and "non-interventionism". Ron Paul is not an isolationist. Calling Ron Paul a isolationist is like calling your neighbor an isolationist because he doesn't come on to your property to shit on the lawn and break out a window.

  • @AlexRider001 true that he does have some truther followers but i wouldn't really consider him a truther. saying bush used 9/11 as a racket to go into iraq is not conspiracy theory but fact. he's never said the gvnmnt created 9/11 just believes they didnt do enough to prevent. not sure how his non-interventionism would drive the us to ruin. think of all the money wasted over sea's that could be used here at home. we build up bridges and then use tax payers money to rebuild them!!

  • @AlexRider001 we just borrowed money from the chinese to put troops in australia to protect us from the chinese!! and you dont think this is ruining our country but think non-intervention would??

yes he probably wouldnt be able to really cut a trillion dollars the first year but the more drastic your demand the farther the other side will come to you. its the only real budget cut that anybodys is proposing.

  • I'm an American socialist and the fact that I have to turn to a libertarian candidate speaks volumes of the USA;s current political climate. I don't agree with Ron Paul, even half the time, but he is the anti-war candidate and the least corrupt of the candidates currently running for president, including our current president whom I voted for in the previous election. I may not agree with him, but he is the most principled candidate and intellectually honest.

  • @skimaskradio It's so nice to here some one who claims they're against the war put they're money where they're mouth is, rather than claiming to be against it then carrying on voting for those that will just propel it.

  • @skimaskradio When you say "least corrupt" I wonder where there is any corruption that has ever been associated with Dr. Paul in his three decades of public service? As far as I'm aware there has never been anyone that has ever accused Dr. Paul of any corruption whatsoever.

  • I'm not American so I don't know much about Ron Paul or US politics but what you say is interesting & I agree.

But whatever else - for the sake of your freedom & that of the whole free world PLEASE, PLEASE get that Muslim, Barak Hussein Obama, OUT of office along with every stooge of the evil bigoted ideology that is Islam.

  • @freeman8128 I didn't vote for Obama, but in no way do I believe the man is a Muslim. I'm an atheist, which should at very least show that I'm not bias in my considerations.

  • @kastnmagic Who knows what Obama's true allegiances are? but his name, Barak Hussein is pure Muslim & his administration & utterances are dishonest & dangerously Islam-friendly.

I too am atheist & (hopefully) rational & fair - on which basis I am very anti-Islam because of its biased bigotry & violent hatred of we atheists & all who refuse to submit to its cruel, evil domination.

  • @freeman8128 When was the last time a Muslim knocked on your door wanting to spread the good news of Allah? When did you last see a billboard or church sign praising Allah or damning you if you do not come to mosque on Sunday?

You get your rhetoric from that 32" square glass you call master.

I too am an outspoken Atheist but I am more of the "realistic" and "obviousness" breed.

  • @Dikotomii I don't want to enter one of those long YouTube discussions/arguments so just trust me when I tell you that I have long & deep personal experience of islam/muslims, their teachings, behaviour & intentions toward the free world & atheists like ourselves.

Islam is the most reactionary, bigoted, intolerant ideology devised by man: - When tolerance is a one way street it is suicide

To know more, read the Quran, visit websites on my channel look at what Muslims DO - not only what they say

  • And about the racism part... please that's a joke! Look this video :

    ?v=XnPnAJeVuvw

  • @DADLANDSHOW good to see you back man!

  • I don't get why you don't support/endorse the best president you could have ( you want a "perfect for me" president to support ??).

By the way, government doesn't have to say to you when if something you buy could harm you or not, you are a grown up citizen that can that your decisions and assume the risk for those decisions. That left comfortable way "Give me freedom but take care of me in everything that i need!".

Freedom is rights and responsibilities, if not them is not freedom at all!

  • I will never vote for a candidate who opposes a woman's body autonomy no matter how I may or may not agree with his other positions. That one is a deal breaker for me.

  • @debbieomi This is a common misconception. Yes he is pro life. He is a doctor who has assisted in over 4,000 births. When he was in school he had to witness an abortion where he saw a living/breathing fetus being dumped in a bucket. Please understand where he is coming from. These experiences in life would obviously make him pro life But regardless, he has stated that the federal government has no business making any type of regulation on abortion and leaves it to the states.

  • @MattResponds I've read his history and I can imagine it could change one's *personal* views but it should have no bearing what so ever on political views. Personally, I would not have an abortion and I do not think it should ever be used as a form of birth control but I will always side with a woman's right to make that choice for herself.

  • I understand his Libertarian background but there are some things that I feel states should not have control over, abortion rights and equal rights for all humans being two of them.

  • @debbieomi That is why he doesn't let his personal views reflect on his political ones. That is why he leaves this up to the states. Did you know that if there was a federal law to ban abortion but a state had a law allowing it the state law would come first? So really the middle man of the government is unnecessary because the state can still make its own law.

  • @debbieomi Dr. Paul doesn't oppose a woman's right to choose, if that's what you were referencing. Have you not studied the man? I'm a "Pro-Choicer" myself and have studied this man in detail for months now, which seems to be something most others haven't done. The man supports "The Morning After Pill" for gawds sake.. There are entirely too many "jump to conclusion", "under-informed" regarding this issue.

  • I would consider forgiving him if he actually owned up to his statements, then apologized.

  • @shallowabyss100 He has taken full responsibilities for these articles and repudiates all of the content within. But he did not write them. The man that did is named James B. Powell and you can search that name on YouTube for more information. The news station that broke the story covered up a portion on one of the pages that revealed the author. There is also no audio/video proof of racial comments from Ron Paul in his over 30 years in public office.

  • @shallowabyss100 He also has the endorsement of Nelson Linder, head of the NAACP in Houston, TX that vouches for him.

  • @MattResponds Thank you for that information, I will look into it. In regards to Nelson Linder's endorsement, I'm not moved. If it's wrong to vote for Obama because he's black, then it's wrong to vote for Ron Paul because other black people support him.

  • @shallowabyss100 I agree with you. I am sorry because that is not the message I was trying to convey and did so poorly. What I should have said is that he has known of Ron Paul for some time. There is a video on YouTube where he talks about him and his impressions of Ron Paul. I think it is important to acknowledge the voice of a minority that has met him and his opinions of the mans character.

  • I dont think its wrong to vote for someone cause they're black, that's what minority kids need to see. a role model in the white house. similarly, it's not wrong to vote for ron paul because blacks vote for him, that may just prove he's not so objectionable and probably not so racist after all. I changed my mind about ron paul after I saw the video of the black guy saying ron paul delivered his white wife's stillborn (dead) son in the 1972 when other doctors wouldn't.

  • @kuaichang Yes minority kids need to see role models in the white house, but if we get blinded by color, we would have somebody like Herman Cain or Pastor Manning. For the record, I'm voting for Obama, not because he's black, not even because he's been perfect, but because I don't see any better options.

  • @kuaichang Yes, Dr. Paul is a genuine and kind man. Dr. Paul took care of many, many black women and delivered their babies for FREE during the years of segregation. He believes in the RIGHTS of the INDIVIDUAL.. He believes in the FREEDOMS of the INDIVIDUAL.. Two of his "HERO'S" he's always said were/are MLK and Rosa Parks.. He is the farthest thing from being a racist, which is why so many, including the NAACP as well as the ACLU came out to defend him when the smear began.

  • i am doubtful i would vote for ron paul, but i do agree that he is the most intriguing GOP candidate.

  • Sorry but I don't forgive him. Have you seen his old news letter? It's revolting. And what's worse is that he claims to have never read it. Why would you never check on the content of a news letter that is supposed to portray your view?! I don't want someone that negligent in charge of this country.

  • Ron Paul is for dismantling the food and drug administration the EPA, and countless enviornmental safety regulations, so under a Paul administration a business "making a harmful ingredient that could effect..." your life would probably be a lot more likely.

  • Exactly why I find Paul appealing myself. IMO Ron Paul is the only Republican that I could stomach voting for against Obama and that could possibly beat him. If Paul becomes the republican nominee and the depression deepens his chances go way up. I don't think Romney will do very well against Obama as the American people will simply reject him no matter how much money he spends. I am willing to give Paul four years even though I despise some of his positions. Paul may actually change things

  • You are right about him being the most honest of the politicians, however his desire to end the EPA and other things are just crazy. You can't trust businesses to do the right thing and not poison us just to make an extra buck.

  • welcome back man! always nice to hear you.

  • And yet his stances on deregulating businesses to the point of almost NO taxation, NO responsibility to the public, and NO recourse for those wronged by them are completely foolhardy and dangerous.

Tell you one thing though, he at least believes what comes out of his mouth is true. More than can be said for the other candidates at this point.

  • @TheYouthHeroic Well put.

  • @TheYouthHeroic deregulation and de-taxation are not always or necessarily causes or effects of each other. individual liberty implies individual responsibility, (and corporate personhood is not recognized), businesses would therefore be beholden to consumers and stockholders, not to public opinion. but recourse for torts through judicial process actually IS what the role of government ought to be, and RP has spoken in support of contract enforcement by government.

  • @TheYouthHeroic Well actually the first part of your statement is a really bad interpretation of his views and is very typical of "the lefts" criticisms of Dr. Paul. The only thing that is true of it is that he wants lower taxes... for everyone. Indiscriminately.

And why lower taxes is a bad thing is beyond my understanding... according to the "higher taxes" logic, Government must create prosperity via taxes and the more taxes we give them the more prosperity we get... Which is utter nonsense.
