This is actually not a very new ride. It was constructed in 2000 or 2001. Cedar Fair bought it from another park and brought it to K.I. as a "new" coaster. I didn't really enjoy it much either.

I road this twice last weekend. It was ok during the day but hard to keep the eyes open, looking into the sun. Much better at night especially since we were able to watch the fireworks going up the lift hill.

i waited 2 hours to get up to the ride, waited a nother 30 cuz it broke down, another 10 for the other ppl in from of me 2 go, and then....the ride stopped and ppl were left laying on their backs....so i waited another 15. then i left cuz i was pissed then right as i leave...........IT STARTS BACK UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ummm... KI is in Mason, OH, just outside of Cincinatti. Springfield is near Dayton, which is a good 40-50 or more miles from Mason. So I find it quite obvious that you are balatantly lying and most likely do not live in Ohio at all.

some guy a couple days ago got on Firehawk and took a couple steps when he got off..........had a heart attack and died...........they can't blame the ride because he had heart problems prior to that sooooo........yeah i think they reopened it though

Why was this downrated? It's true. There was nothing wrong with the coaster; it was operating under Vekoma's standards. The man had previous health and heart issues, and he was unconscious when the train arrived back at the station. He was taken away in a stretcher, then dies shortly afterwards. If you don't believe me, LOOK IT UP. It happened in the 2009 season, and the ride was reopened to the public the next day.

i agree, when i last went to kings island, the wait was longer than diamondback. its not even that great of a ride i think. to me its not worth the 2 hour wait that they always have for it. and thats after you have to add the time alotted for the many times every day it breaks down
