  • How do you use Insertbrush to make holes?

  • @Dana07ZhengYuanda ZCut button?

  • I have check on this video in the slowdown mode, But I can't find out it.

    I'm trying.....

  • jolly good work!!!

  • How do you use zspheres to make this Low poly meshes?

    Can you explain this?

  • @thesilverpriest Nothing really complicated. I juste created a zsphere link, apply an adaptive skin on it, and make it polymesh3D

  • sorry I for that early silly question got it sorted

  • @dodgevipert56 No problem, have fun with R2 ;)

  • soryy for bothering how do later add/substract those cylinders??

  • hey can u tell me how to duplicate the cylinders and move them??

  • @dodgevipert56 You need to ducplicate the cylinders, by pressing ctrl while moving them.

  • @Guedin13090 epicness thank u!!

one more thing how do u control the height and size of the insert cylinders??? its giving me pain by simply pressing alt and drag

  • @dodgevipert56 If you press alt AFTER your dragged your insert mesh, it will kee its original ratio size, after that you can use the move, scale and rotate tools to modify it

  • this is a great video .. thanks alot for sharing :)

  • what subdivision level to you generally work at?

  • @troiscake There's no subdivision level here, I'm just raising the resolution of dynamesh when I need more

  • Hi, may i know where you get those interesting brushees? Or you worked it out youself?

  • @artcreator329 Actually I did them myself. It's really easy, starting from a cylinder and play with it with the radial symmetry

  • hey how did you cut into the mesh with all those cylinders at 10:26? I'm only able to cut with the last cylinders i duplicated.

  • @anguswu3d You need to ducplicate the cylinders, by pressing ctrl while moving them. Don't forget to press alt when you drag the first cylinder

  • @Guedin13090 when u said press alt. Do you mean the first cylinder. Press ctrl and alt?

  • @anguswu3d Yeah, just for the first one. You can check if the cylinder will be substracted or not by pressing ctrl+f to display the polygroups, and if the cylinder is white, it should be substracted

  • @Guedin13090 and to confirm how u switched between the cylinders and the shell. Did you ctrl click twice on the mesh?

Thanks for getting back to me so fast. Helps so much

  • THanks for the tutorial. but what you keep clicking on in the picker? Could you just to a video and talk through how your booleaning as keeps going wrong. Understand the use of Dynamesh but when doing ctrl drag alt it just combines the objects.

    cheers

  • @londonsmee If you want your boolean to cut into your mesh, press alt when you drag them onto your mesh. If you do that, when you will do a ctrl drag, it will substract instead of add.

I'll try maybe later to make some subtitles to the video ... But I don't know when since I got a lot of work these days

  • Thanks for that sorted now, see that you have to have the - symbol on the insert object and -symbol on the mask to remesh the dynamesh. Many thanks

  • @Guedin13090 Sorted now figured out what I was doing wrong. Needed the - symbol on the insert object, and then the - symbol on the remesh with the dynamesh. Many thanks.

  • Interesting work .I'm interested which are the last two brushes that you used ?One is like hard edge crease and other is insert screw or something ,too tiny to read .

  • I don't understand youtube. I click 720p but in fullscreen the video is blurry even though my notebook has 720p resolution.

  • Mind telling how you make an object clip/cut out the shape such as on 05:46 or the cylinders?

  • @kejimaeda Your mesh need to be a dynamesh. After that, you can use insert brush with the alt key pressed

  • @Guedin13090 Ooh, nice to know, helps alot.

Also, you wouldn't know a place that covers the basics of the new features?

I mean in a vid walktrough type. I bought some tutorials for full z4 walktrough, but can't find much on r2.

  • what does 'creasing' do?

  • @esepablo19 When you sbdivide your mesh, the creased edges will remains hard edges. It's really useful because if you don't do it, when you'll subdivide, everything will be smooth, and this is not what you want

  • Muy bueno para los que estamos empezando, y poder ver trabajar a un crack!

  • Thank you for this video,

  • Great work!!! How do you make the boolean action in the 3:27? Thanks.

  • Really great hard surface modeling. Some great techniques on display aswell, ive learnt a lot.

  • Nice work. I noticed that when you are in an orthographic view (front, side, etc.), you somehow are able to rotate the camera. How do you do this? Thanks for the videos. Keep 'em coming!

  • @rossimo1 Oh ! That's something I came across and I forgot to explain it but, If you press "shift", click outside your mesh, like you would to rotate around your model, and the release shift without releasing the click, you should be able to rotate your camera along the z axis of your camera.

It's a bit tricky but it's really useful

  • @peixpelut I like to retopo my mesh to obtain perfect curves when I subdivide, like I would have in a soft like 3dsmax with traditionnal sub-d modeling. After that I can refine the base shape with insert brushes

  • Fantastic demonstration! Thank you for uploading this!

  • @SSCrow Thanks a lot, I'm glad you like it
