Van Hansis is the best actor on the planet, bar none!!! Eric Sheffer Stevens is almost as great and the chemistry between the two is off the charts amazing!!! I was so in love with this storyline!!! I couldn't believe how emotionally devasted I was by the ending! In my mind Reid's "death" was just a dream NOah had because he knew that was the only way he would ever get Luke back!!!

OMG...this scene still melts my heart everytime I watch it, which is over and over and over again!!! @lewaaya I guess it's different strokes for different folks, but Reid/Eric is far from hideous - he is absolutely gorgeous. He and Van have sizzling chemistry on screen and are beautiful together. I believed them as a couple, whereas Noah just got on my nerves constantly blaming Luke for anything - that's a dysfunctional couple. Anyway, I'm not into the jock type, and the squinty eyes are a real turnoff. But everybody doesn't like the same thing which is what makes the world go round.

I hated Reid at first, but through interviews, I have come to like Eric a lot. But IMO, the "relationship stuff" is more believable between Van and Jake. The only way Van and Eric have more chemistry is the kissing. I'm not sure why.
@ashleymarisa I always suspected it was the friend thing. Van and Jake have gone on record saying they were and still are close friends (long before the romance even started). And I suspect that's gotta be akward. Making out with someone who you consider a good friend as opposed to Eric/Van who of course got along perfectly well but were predominantly coworkers. It's gotta be easier to distance yourself from the akwardness if you're not kissing your buddy!

In real life, at this emotional point in their relationship, there would have been mad, passionate sex, cigarette at the end, included. But ATWT writers again wasted an opportunity to make this couple realistic, and the scene, like so many, seemed inconclusive and unrealistic.

I totlly agree--one of Van's BESt scenes EVER. How'd he manage to tremble and be so vulnerable and get that neediness across without a single moment of it appearing campy or lame. This was way better than any kiss from Luke & Noah-sorry to their fans~but it's so amazing when Reid opens up to Luke that way,& pulls him in-so sweet! LURE has become my 2nd all-time favorite TV gay couple after QAF's legendary Michael & Ben. Anyhoo, lines have been drawn and we don't have much time since September's fast-approaching, so let's get ready to rumble!
I've been following Van as Luke since he first appeared in 2005 and NUKE since Noah's first appearance in 2007 but it's because of Reid, that for the very first time, I feel a REAL investment in this story due to LURE's intense chemistry; Eric's background, ability, experience and obvious commitment to the role; Van's improved acting and the new-found maturity in the current teleplay.
Personally, it is my belief that LURE is the TRUTH! Watching them leaves me breathless and inspired. I have never felt this way about NUKE. I've only stuck with them as unit because they were the only serious gay representation on CBS's daytime line-up.
In one corner, we have LukeVanFan subscribers bitterly holding it down for the established Team Noah while in the other corner, there are anthonydlangford & happyinchintz72 members leading the upstart Team Reid ranks and caught in the middle are the neutrals, who just want everyone to get along and to see all three characters, in the end, happy and on positive life paths.
OMG! It so amazing to see how ATWT's LURE-NUKE story arc is swiftly amassing the epic proportions of Meyer's Twilight series, thanks to the fight-to-the-death-war brewing amongst its devoted fans.
I love this kiss, it's so tender when they first start kissing and then they just go for it in the end. I love how Reid gently touches Luke's face like he's glass and are about to break.
Dr. Reid is the adult relationship that Luke needs - Noah is the love of youth (first love) that we experience to learn from and go through the pains of high and lows in order to move on.

I'm watching this kiss over and over again and it does not get old. I keep seeing new things, but the most amazing thing remains the pain they both show and feel. They're both so upset about Noah and you just can see the guilt on their faces that they want to be together rather than to be with Noah at this point. The pain, the guilt, the tension, it all makes this kiss so much more than anything that ever happened between Luke and Noah. Luke really deserves someone like Reid at the moment.
This kiss. GAH. I've watched it eight time just this morning, and I don't think I'm going to stop. I'm sorry, Nuke fans, but...there was never a kiss between Luke and Noah that had this kind of passion. Not even their first, and that was a doozy. There is so much in this kiss. It goes beyond lust. They're breaking down each other's carefully constructed emotional walls, and finding something precious and real and *alive*. This...this is was falling in love looks like.
best Luke kiss ever...I always thought it was weird that every time Luke kissed Noah he seemed to smile and never really locked lips completely....this is with Reid is amazing...so much more passion with Reid than with Noah

I totlly agree--one of Van's BESt scenes EVER. How'd he manage to tremble and be so vulnerable and get that neediness across without a single moment of it appearing campy or lame. This was way better than any kiss from Luke & Noah-sorry to their fans~but it's so amazing when Reid opens up to Luke that way,& pulls him in-so sweet! I've been following Van as Luke since he first appeared in 2005 and NUKE since Noah's first appearance in 2007 but it's because of Reid, that for the very first time, I feel a REAL investment in this story due to LURE's intense chemistry; Eric's background, ability, experience and obvious commitment to the role; Van's improved acting and the new-found maturity in the current teleplay.

Personally, it is my belief that LURE is the TRUTH! Watching them leaves me breathless and inspired. I have never felt this way about NUKE. I've only stuck with them as unit because they were the only serious gay representation on CBS's daytime line-up.

Have mercy. It was so hard to see Reid take it while Luke yelled at him - just like he took it when Mr. Judd smacked him around. But, despite what others think, he DOES understand how they feel. And no one is harder on him than himself.
But the kiss....the sweetness, the longing, the passion, the guilt, the genuine caring for each other was all there. Beautifully acted. Damn you Noah! Go to California and make you stupid films and leave these two alone! Shoo! Scoot!

I'm watching this kiss over and over again and it does not get old. I keep seeing new things, but the most amazing thing remains the pain they both show and feel. They're both so upset about Noah and you just can see the guilt on their faces that they want to be together rather than to be with Noah at this point. The pain, the guilt, the tension, it all makes this kiss so much more than anything that ever happened between Luke and Noah. Luke really deserves someone like Reid at the moment.

I'm sorry, Nuke fans, but...there was never a kiss between Luke and Noah that had this kind of passion. Not even their first, and that was a doozy. There is so much in this kiss. It goes beyond lust.
