Excellent editing here. You are so good at bringing images to your thoughts in these vids. Gets the point across well. When we first meet people we should let them do most of the talking and encourage them to do so.
Thanks, Rhonda. I agree. If both parties were to show the interest in hearing out the other, then both parties would be off to a good start with each other.
I think that some topics have become taboo. I think that the topics that you mentioned are really important to talk about but we often don't because people use it as an reason to get upset. I think it is often limiting.
Hello Sable. I'm not opposed to discourse on any topic. I was merely considering how some people have agendas that may instigate confrontation at any given chance, even upon initially meeting someone they don't know. Diplomacy, & setting a friendly tone, may lead into a more civilized discussion should the conversation evolve into more than ''first encounter'' pleasantries. Imagine meeting someone that has boxing gloves on & they're looking for a fight & you don't know each other at all.
I don't have to try to hard to image the kind of person you are talking about, the thing is that type of person gets in others faces over the anything, I mean anything.
Hi Sable. I don't mind debate/discussion, even if heated, with people I like, or that I've learned to respect, but the ''in your face'' stranger demanding answers or compliance will not find a welcome place in my world. I don't run into this type of person often, then again, I don't normally put myself in the position where they easily find me either.
I totally agree with you. Maybe I just run into more people that live there life like they have to have someone on the top of their "poopy list" more than you.
Bodine you get along with everyone, that is a nice way to be.
True. I've been reading a book about consciousness that instead of viewing it as an artifact of brain activity, describes it as the real source of who we are. It's an interesting notion, much like the religionist's idea of soul, but without the need for a particular God. If that notion is true, then it doesn't matter what exterior others might possess. Real respect, freedom from bias, and the honest expression of love is from consciousness to consciousness.
Well, Scott, they might actually be bigger, but it sucks that I've got to die to find out for sure! In the meantime I'll enjoy the other conscious entities like yourself that make life worthwhile. All the things that society told me were important now seem like meaningless chatter, whether competitive aquisition or religious fundamentalism - its all the same winner/loser mentality. I'm starting my own Church Of Appreciation and making you the first recipient of my appreciation blessing.
Hi Laurence. I'm not big on societal dictations that curtail individual freedoms, or proselytizing from clueless ideological adherents myself. I reckon we'll either find out, or we won't be existent... so then we won't find out that there was nothing to find out. Got to live life for life itself while it lasts, not for ambiguous expectations of afterlife. Thanks for the blessing. Every little bit helps.
Hello Coz. It's all just opinion... the workings of the mind. People add to their opinions their own perceived levels of importance for a variety of reasons.
oh my friend, i cant agree with that. i agree everybody thinks reality is an opinion, but too many confuse opinion with reality. And i dont feel all opinions are created equal. just like a runner will have an unequal amount of endurance with his legs, so is the thinker and the mind. i dont think their rights should be infringed upon, but i dont think the opinions of non-thinkers should be held equal to people who actually devote a lot of time to it. hovind = dawkins? i dont think so
Hello Coz. I wouldn't necessarily comprehend any and all of the different perceptions of people to be completely and evenly equal in value, accurate, realistic, and/or acceptable either. We are all subjected to our own perceptions when evaluating other people's perceptions.
Very good Video Scott, it's all about "Open mindnes". Not pressing your opinions on somebody is a matter of Spiritual maturity, this may sound strange, but acceptance of all these ways and thoughts(except aggression and destruction) I believe to be the key to brotherhood and love towards humanity, that's why I'm attracted to Zen-philosophy in which Spiritual Freedom is a common thought. Greets dear friend,Vic.
Somehow this video wandered a somewhat wise but slightly warped (thanks to the effects) psychedelic sea and ended up in hatersville LOL It was a long (well, not really that long) strange trip, as they say. I agree on all points, another fine commentary.
Hello, Michael. Aristotle said that?!?!? Whatever happened to the Interobang? The cross between the question mark and the exclamation point they had invented a ways back. I guess it never caught on?!?!?
a friend of mine lived in france a yr. and loved it cos they never talked about the stuff u mentioned, but after they did know someone they loved to eat for hours and talk political subjects.
Hi mwest. I'm a hermit. No one gets to ask me anything. LOL. When someone hopes to grill me, I tend to respond like the proverbial branch in the wind. I'm just generalizing on first encounter confrontations some people engage in, and suggesting some possible scenarios that may be used to pull someone else's chain.
Hello Javier. I don't think it's been among the first things out of my mouth. That question has been skipped more often than not. Every situation leads to what the direction of its conversation may include. In certain situations, even the things I mentioned would seem reasonable, especially if the person you're talking to directs the conversation into them, but to just start grilling someone you just met on certain topics to engage possible confrontation... that's what I'm referring to.
Good advice. I never knew til this morning that I love pictures of animals with weaponry.

I can never look a roadkill quite the same after this video. They might have been armed and dangerous!
It's sad that the obvious, respect for each other, needs encouragement. A find vid there, Scott.

Hello, Laurence. Fear not the roadkill for which you speak.
Encouraging respect is the least we can do. We all would like it for ourselves. What better way to get it than by giving it?
