  • The oem ones are better grade and springs I put a 25$ replacement it broke 15 months later

salvage yard $10 and it will last another 10 years

or moding a broken oem handle is good idea too (^;^)

  • Thank you so much for this! I have a '93 Chevy Astro Van and my back door handle broke exactly the same way your did, and we saw this video and drilled in the hole and set it up the exact same way and it worked! VERY well done! Im stoked to have my back doors back, since they dont open from the inside. xD

  • @ffsrock After buying 1 handle a year i thought that there has to be another way. i came up with the idea of fixing it like this, and so far it is going on its 2nd year without a problem.

  • Can this work for a '97 Astro?

  • @Mijaycapri79 if handle construction is the same or similar it should. if its already broken, you have nothing to loose.

  • most of the time that you were fixing the handle was when you were off the camera. I didnt mean to criticize you, but the intention was good.
