special recon sniper is different from urban sniper. a special recon sniper has the patients and the mind to dish out the stress of boredom while waiting in 1 area for very long periods of time. urban snipers are ment to advance from one place to another.

Snipers have been romantised for some time now and no one service or military has the "best" snipers although I'm sure there are plenty of talented individuals who solidified the reputations of their parent service or unit. If one assumption can be made then it is the snipers of special operations units that can be held up above those who are members of more conventional units.

i love the navy seals. im 13 and i train to be in the seals. i do push ups. i do missions with a couple friends and i practice shooting with a bbgun and airsoft battles are good for training.. i wanna join. oh and im really fast and pretty strong

Guys, come on...you really think it was real??? Too many facts here to prove other wise. 1, this was a dramatization of a sniper scene. 2, do you really think the NSW guys sent a Discovery film team into the bush to video tape an assualt on a bridge? 3, the weapon used was most likely a Barrett .50, do you have any idea what that round does to personnel, very messy lots of blood and human matter. 4, there is no can on the end of the barrel, first shot would have alerted the other sentries.
