Ulman did not alter her facial features in any way (fake lips, hair etc.), she simply put on a bronzer to denote an African person. Notice I said African and NOT black. She was gracious enough to not play up race but rather instead just conveyed to the audience that the character was from a different region in the world. I feel like if her motives were to save children she would help fund the building and maintenance of a school, wells, or an orphanage, contribute to pay teachers so that children are empowered and can help empower future generations rather than just taking one child away to live with her alternative self and lifestyle, taking the child away from his/her family and country.
