  • And from knowledge from my parents who were born in africa, most of the kids are given to the americans to bring home and raise freely because they believe america is the promise land or that it is a magical place. most do not know what america is really like. so do not sit here and try to act as if i do not know my facts, because clearly i do, and i see it from a whole other side. THANKS :)

  • Why say "Take that Madonna" in the description? It's a knock on culture but Madonna herself is a health freak. Better her to do something then Sally Struthers. .. and Angelina is toxic plastic.

  • hahaha..funny but I have to say that accent aint malawian.. but I love the mockery on the american people! I love Madonna and appreciate what she is doing, there are a lot of orphans in AFrica, may be instead of adopting them, there is need to stop illiterate, ignorance parents from reproducing irresponsibly..

  • all of you slow dump asses...SHE'S A BIG COMEDIAN IN AMERICA AND ENGLAND...geeezzzzz people..it's only comedy....get a life and a freaking sense of humour...and stop taking these things so seriously

  • bad accent... very very bad accent.

Do these actors think that the whole of Africa has the same accent?

  • Is this from State of the Union, or perhaps Tracey Takes On?

  • State of the Union.

  • If people are interested in "saving" children from third world countries, why don't they help those countries to have more education so that they will stop having babies so that they will be able to enjoy more quality of life and less suffering? No, instead they would rather feed their ego by showing the world how "compassionate" and "progressive" they are by adopting. It accomplishes nothing.

  • this woman can pass for northern nigerian very easily hahaha

  • lol did she paint her upper lip?! xD

  • The jokes went over your head. She's talking about two different things. She's taking a dig at America AND THEN celebrities who are adopting children from African nations at a huge rate.

It's only a joke. It's not meant to be taken seriously.

    I love Madonna!

  • i love madonna too. i got the joke lol. i was responding to people who was saying "take that madonna!"

  • @Citygurl27 so they can grow up in amerikkka and be looked down upon by white people their whole lives?

  • @youngice604 wow you ALL are not getting the point. And also this comment was posed a year ago its too late for your opinion now. Thanks :)

  • and also this is a comedy routine not to be taken so seriously ugh people get a life!

  • @Citygurl27 This is not just a comedy routine, you're a pig headed ignoramus if you watched it and wrote it off as a joke and nothing more. It is a brilliantly written satire, starring a white woman, to show how dumb all these celebrities are for adopting African children, as if Africa is a shit hole waste land where nobody should live. Typical white Amerikkkan beliefs.

  • @youngice604 thanks for using all those big words (thumbs up). I honestly do not believe that celebrities are adopting them because they think Africa is a shit hole ( im Nigerian btw so dont try to belittle me because I dont see it as a problem) the children they adopt are children that have no homes to live in or kids that their parents cannot afford to take care of them. Im sry but I do not believe that they go ito perfectly good homes and take these children from there.

  • @Citygurl27 They do it for selfish reasons when there are children starving in their own country. They want the attention and they want to pretend like they're actually helping when it's the Western lifestyle that leaves africa so financially crippled.

  • @youngice604 western lifestyle is not the main problem. Africas main problem is the leaders. many of these countries have corrupt leaders so therefore the country does not flourish

  • @Citygurl27 there is a valuable mineral in Congo that nobody knows about. It is abundant there. It's called tantalim i believe. Every computer chip has it now. And all the american companies are over there mining it up buying for extremely low prices because the mining is done by africans for little to no pay.

and of course, you know about the blood diamonds, yes?

If you think Western lifestyle has played no role in Africa's situation you should read up more.

  • @youngice604 what i am saying here is that the west was not the only contributors to the way africa is. Some of it is partly their doing. what about sudan? they are basically killing their own people off in genocide, what does american culture have to do with that?

  • @Citygurl27 You do know America picks and chooses who it chooses to help bring "democracy" to right? America sponsors these corrupt leaders. American corporations help put them into power because it will be better for business. That's why america has done nothing for Africa, but made a big deal about Hugo Chavez.

Who do you think is providing weaponry for the Sudanese to use?

  • That boy looks scared... who wouldnt be :/

  • LMAO!

  • what did she say after "no no no, no more candy bar"?

it sounded like something like "no more italim?"

  • Ritalin

  • oh. thanks

  • I LOVE IT!

  • I repeat, she denoted the regional/national differences between Malawi and the west and AVOIDED racialism in the satire. That's almost unheard of on American television. Look at that upcoming bullshit Pauly Shore movie if you want to see true western racism.

  • As a Malawian who encounters racism against Africans on the internet almost daily, I am honestly not very offended by this.

  • Ulman did not alter her facial features in any way (fake lips, hair etc.), she simply put on a bronzer to denote an African person. Notice I said African and NOT black. She was gracious enough to not play up race but rather instead just conveyed to the audience that the character was from a different region in the world. She did not mock Malawian peoples' culture, intelligence, looks or politics, she simply commented on the celebrity adoption scenario and went no further.

  • I'm black and calling this "BlackFace" is pure BULLSHIT! Do a search on youtube to see tru blackface.

  • theres no such fing as trublack face, we dont all have the same skin complexion...as 100% african im lighter than her, u'llget people who are dark and those who'r light. and on 2nd note u got a white gal tryin to come out as black which is technically impossible so u have good wonders of makeup to make it look real, i just cant believe u guys compare it to the real fing, u must be american..

  • Ha I like the way you said " take that Madonna" in your description... this video is funny... people need to get over the black face

  • Lol, finally we can see the absurdity of these adoptions!

  • There is nothing absurd about saving a child's life.

  • No there isn't. I mean to say that in response to Madonnas idea of going out to Africa and adopting just one child. I feel like if her motives were to save children she would help fund the building and maintenance of a school, wells, or an orphanage, contribute to pay teachers so that children are empowered and can help empower future generations rather than just taking one child away to live with her alternative self and lifestyle, taking the child away from his/her family and country.

  • Madonna has actually done that, and continues to. The issue of her actually adopting, is an entirely different matter.

  • Madonna has already done that and continues to do so. You really have no idea what true poverty is.

  • No MORE Ritalin

    LOL!

  • This isn't "blackface." Tracey is NOT making fun of black people, she's making fun of CELEBRITIES. It's not surprising that ignorant people can't see the BIG PICTURE. Is she being "ageist" when she impersonates old people?

  • Exactly, it some bronzing type agent. It's not black face.

  • "Black face is when you paint big white lines around your mouth to symbolize lips, and charcoal up your face. This isn't "black face""

Wrong again fflyby, blackface is NOT limited to that, Blacks will be treated with respect.

Just because Tracey is made up to more or less look like a normal black person, it is still blackface and racist. Learn the 'real history' of blackface.

Tracey Ullman is evil, for trying to normalize blackface.

  • You're just going to have to deal with it. Everyone impersonates everybody anymore. No one is off limits.

  • Sorry, I totally disagree.

  • Black face is when you paint big white lines around your mouth to symbolize lips, and charcoal up your face. This isn't "black face". Get over "history". Blacks will be treated like any other. It's satire. Tracey does every race, nationality, sexuality, and gender. Political correctness will get you nowhere.

  • ha!! Tracey Ullman is a genius! I love her!! wohoo!! go Tracey!! lol

  • I can't believe she's British...she can do any accent. I love her!

  • WTF!

  • This video rocks.

  • "Dying of stupidity"

So true!! That and child obesity!

  • so funny.

  • lovin diss, just makes the stars adopting children look so stupid and in truth thats what they are,,,,,,,,,yeah stop dat boy from growing up in stupidity

  • Not really...they bring to light a serious problem. A lot of people want to adopt now. What's so stupid about that?

  • yeh but since when in different ethnicity's from there own, we all know going to africa to do aid and adopt a kid is just a stunt to show celebrities with a heart at the end of the day it proves nothing and solves nothing, Africans will starve and another million babies will die. the truth is that a black person would find it hard to adopt a white baby (no joke think about it)

  • yeah allot of people would love to adopt, but normally people adopt within there own ethnicity as much as i would like to believe Madonna did this with her heart i find that difficult to believe after she makes comments about black me as being the most sexist me she has ever dated etc y then did she adopt a black baby.

  • Well, Madonna said it herself in an interview in relation to culture in the US/Africa.

"Sometimes, I think we have it backwards (the US)."

She spoke about how we take things for granted and went on to say she has never seen so much appreciation for life in Malawi and that her own world certainly had "moments" of that feeling but not like what she witnessed in Malawi.

I mean, 911 in a big way was a "publicity" stunt in itself to start a war and that's worth criticizing. Let's keep it real.

  • "No, no no no. No more candy bar and no more ritalin." lol

  • Tracy is mocking the stupidity associated with rich countries, not Madonna.

  • lmao

  • oh god. y . that was sooo good.
