Ive always admired Shirley Chisholm ever since I heard about her as a little kid. Brains, guts and everything there's so much to admire about this heroic woman.
she made fifty five. I wish they would post that clip of her talking about the a-hole in congress that harassed her. You know these people represent a geographic group, but they just don't act that way. Its very undignified to harass anyone when you represent a group. She had such a cute elmer fudd voice too. Warner Bros should have made a cartoon of her.
this is a true thing that happens! its not a chain letter! its kinda scary at first but it really works!! paste this message into 3 comments and press ALT F4 and your crushes name will appear on the screen!!! its soo wierd!
I keep hearing every day that Geraldine Ferraro was the first woman to run on a national ticket. What was Chisholm doing? She was a beautiful person who made extremely significant contributions to this world, and she should NEVER be forgotten!
Write to all the robot-news reporters and gas bag pundits and tell them they should be talking about Shirley Chisholm, not Geraldine Ferraro who only ran for VP with a big white man.

I guess if you really had to summarize her life, importance and contributions you could quote Shakesphere's line from Macbeth, " a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".
She is a huge inspiration to me as a black man. As the first african american to seek the presidency, her quote was " i am seeking the nomination to demonstrate my sheer will and my refusal to accept the status quo."

Pal you need to get a life ! She was nothing but a mouth piece with her own personal agenda. She is long gone and forgotten and made not one bit of difference in the american political scence. She was really more of an oddity and joke that only gulliable sheep who need to beleive in false idols like yourself hold her up as something special. I bet you praise Ophrah hire than Elenor Roosevelt.
