this was a good movie or else i wouldn't have watched it because it is almost impossible for me to watch movies. the blacks in it added no value to the movie and were tokens to be politically correct nor the psycho jew transsexual when he goes on a killing spree.

Hey, if you haven't gotten a response yet, I'll let you know that it's about a female band and their manager, who go to Hollywood to hit it big and end up losing themselves in the excesses of the times. As you said, it's definitely bizarre, but it's also very entertaining. Although, it's rather vulgar, so I wouldn't recommend it for those that are easily offended or repulsed. Hope you enjoy it!

Like other Russ Meyer films, Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is just another excuse for Meyer to parade a bunch of big breasted women around. I was at a club recently where they played 60s music and this movie was showing on a screen. It was much more tolerable watching it without the audio. I like the 60s fashions and hairdos but the movie itself is pure junk.
