But growing up I hated to see weak people wasting themselves on drugs. Glenn's music and the band's look had that appeal - great songs, clean lifestyle, singing about fun things and NOT politics like a lot of punk bands did. To me singing about politics makes the music dated. That shit comes and goes. Glenn's music is truly timeless.

Green Day is ok, I remember when they came out they sounded new and fresh compared to everything else. Misfits hit legendary statis without the help of radio and MTV, all word of mouth and bootleg cassettes, Danzig and company did all the footwork themselves, designing the album covers, picking up the records from distribution by train with the money Doyle and Jerry made at their dads shop. So yeah, you really cant compare them. Green Day was definitely a testube punk band.
