  • what blows my mind about this one is the backup vocals. just freaking great. what a vocal band. awesome.

  • Ke voz McCa! eres lo mas grande !

  • AMazing song!

  • You couldnt be bad

    Magneto was mad!

    Titanium too!

    And the crimson dynamo

Just couldnt cut it no more

    You were the law . . . . . .

  • One of my all-time-favourites (and a highly underrated tune), but I never heard it in a live-performance! Thanks for posting!

  • McCartney is great at writing these catchy little silly tunes like Maxwell Hammer, Rocky Racoon and Smile Away. You gotta love em. Peace.

  • R.I.P. Linda & Wings... Thanks for the music.

  • respect is due

  • Here it is. Was thinking about this tune. Always liked this song. Now I only heard the studio version before. So this is cool to hear live. Wayne

  • great song!

  • Ironic how most of the GREAT ones get overshadowed on an album and don't even make Billboard. Jimmy McCollouch looks like he is just itchin' to take off on that guitar. What a FANTASTIC tune! Everyone contributing just nailed this one!

  • very cool....miss those days..damn.

  • Is this before or after the studio overdubs? Just curious...

  • I want to go to a show like this! It looks like so much fun!

  • omg i love this, i've been in love with this man my whole life!!!!

  • Macca wrestled a veggie burger off the missusoff stage just before they did this

  • This song is in reference to Magneto and Wolverine?

  • Great video, yhank you very much! Wings were great, Paul still is, an I miss Linda too. Love this song!

  • Wings should be the most underrated band ever

  • jamás lo habiea visto, millones de gracias!!!

  • MY X-MEN!!

  • Paul and Linda were perfect for each other in every way! ♥ May she forever Rest In Peace!

  • OK, I'm a Paul fan and had never heard this before. Why isn't this song better know? Love it. Paul really knows how to have fun with his music.

  • Music aint like this no more

  • Still an amazing song......

  • Oh....hey!!!! I WAS AT THIS SHOW!!!! Woooooo!! First time I saw a "laser" show. Now I REALLY love this post!!! The good old KINGDOME!! Hahaha...I came down with my bass player from Vancouver Canada. ~KK

  • Hahaha...used to LOVE playing this song back in the day when I was in a popular "cover" band. Crowd used to love it too!! Great old song. Killer post. ~KK

  • remix --not the first released version of this "live" version.

  • mullets. many, many mullets.

  • Saw this tour Jun 14, 1976 at Cow Palace in San Francisco

  • @Norge260

Yes agreed, Denny is an amazing songwriter. Very underrated. Check out his solo work.

  • Joe English was incredible!!!!!!!!

  • In the mid seventies his voice was (even more) amazing!

  • Do you know where I can find this DVD for sale?

  • @rc1965 its called "Wings over America" and it was a set of 3 LP's or 2 CD's

  • I like Linda ok but would have she mad it as a singer if she wasnt married to Paul McCartney ??????????? NO

  • linda seemed to liked this song a lot =)

  • It seems like Queen members spent some time listening to Wings in 1975.

  • @oliaiguambfigues76 did you see a little silhouetto of a man?

  • Band on the Run, Live and Let Die and, Mull of Kintyrie arent classics?

    Surely you jest.

And what happened to Joe English?

  • All of those songs are pop hits but classics? Hardly. When I think 70s I think - Stairway to heaven, Layla, Anarchy in the UK, Born to run........

I don't think of Band on the run......:-)

  • @Boulderdawg2 Band on the Run, and A day in the Life put the basis for Bohemian Rhapsody... ¬¬

  • @arthurvanfroh True story? I never heard such a thing.

  • @Boulderd awg2 Jugghead

  • are you smoking crack?

  • God Bless Joe English.

  • linda : (

  • I miss Linda, god bless her soul! She was a huge part of the wings!

  • @deanokoko yes she was!!

  • Paul is Fantastic! I wish Denny Laine was appreciated more. He was a major song writing partner with McCartney and a Great Musician in his own right.

  • Denny Laine a major song writing partner??? Eh, ok. He co wrote "Mull of Kintyre" but that was the only hit song he ever put his name under. If you compare Denny to Pauls other songwriter John Lennon, Denny comes across as a midget!

  • @Norge260

Like DUH! Of Course Lennon/MacCartney was probably THE BEST songwriting collaberation EVER.

Denny Laine was Pauls songwriting partner in Wings. I stand that Denny was/is a Great Songwriter.

  • Denny wasn`t in either John or Pauls league when it came to songwriting. Paul wrote the best Wings songs on his own. Live and let die, jet, band on the run, My love etc were all McCartney compositions! Name on hit Denny wrote? I`m pretty sure "Mull of Kintyre" was 90% McCartney, maybe Denny helped him out with a line or something and got writing credit because Paul is a nice guy.

  • Who on this earth is better than Paul?

  • so stay away from us doontithe 1 - we normal people don't care about your oral and anal fantasies.

  • doontithe1 "you heard right. they told you i love to suck a cock."

  • at 1:30 in - I still get goosebumps....great song -

  • I love the last "TITANIUM TOO!"

  • dude, you guys need to stop being whiney bitches about harmonies. Its a song, calm down. You can't expect singing to be amazing on a LIVE show! Lots of crazy shit happened in the 70s, and you can't blame it all on one person. In fact, you guys are probably a part of that crazy shit.

  • Sounds much better live than the studio version. Personally, I think the same could be said of Listen to what the man said.

  • tayloreh. don't shit yourself over those harmonies. they were ENTIRELY re-done in the studio, for 90% of the seattle show and for every second of this song.

  • first of all guys, chaps, it's worse than you think. i was at this show, sounded nothing like. now Paul - SPOT ON. ALL the backup vocals you hear, insipid as they are were actually REDONE in the studio. listen to the live in Seattle version and you'll see how bad the backing vocals, (mainly sucked.) this was clearly linda's favorite song. watch her dreaded 'concert clap!' remember that shit in the 70s? still thanks to Paul, fantastic!

  • @caesarcerf blah blah blah

  • One of the best wings songs,

  • listen to those BG harmonies!

Lindas job is way easier said than done.

  • October 6, 1976 Seattle Kingdome

  • learned to play his song about 20 years ago its alot of fun and one of wings best

  • Luthor and Captain boomerang!

  • Bloody good. Bloody bloody good. ;)

  • I saw this show front row in Detroit. 50 bucks from a scalper. 2 weeks pay for me at the time.

  • What year? What venue? Where were you living at the time? I was attending Rochester Adams High School back then.

  • I think 76, venue was Olympia Stadium, I'm from Royal Oak. Went to Dondero, You guys were in our league-Madonna went to Adams right? Saw the show both nights. Still have some black and white photos from the show.

  • It said it was seattle

  • Coño Paul es perfecto, es como un muñequito de lo mono que es!!!

  • Mac is the greatest ever.

  • HAHA!! 1:45

Look at the face he makes at the camera

  • Good call! hahah Got to love Paul... He has to be the best singer ever. I dont see how after all this time he still sounds so so so good. Not very many people can even hang in even 10 or 20 but 40+ I think hts ET! lol

  • Has anyone ever gotten a hold of the cartoon video that played behind them at this concert? I was there, and have been looking since Gore invented the internet! HELP!! Would love to have it!!

  • LOL I bet Algore could find it. Probably hidden in one of his chins.

  • He looks gorgeous, that Paul

  • Paul was spending some time with his young children playing with their toys and they explained to Paul the special powers of their favorite superheroes. It doesn't take much to spark Paul's super lucid imagination and iconic wordsmith skills into action. Paul is very close to all his children.

  • Truly a great song...off a great album, Venus and Mars.

  • Wings Over America is a great album. I played the heck out of it. It really was Paul at his absolute peak.

  • Oh my goodness I haven't heard this song in years! Brings back some memories involving singing at high volume in a burgundy Rover Metro! LOVE IT!

  • What in the hell is this?! Why didn't I know this existed until this moment?

  • This song rocks! "Wings over america" is Macca at his peak!

  • This song should of got more recognition. Virtually unknown unless you bought the album (Venus and Mars). This was given to me on my birthday.

  • listen at 3:05 he makes singing that hi look very easy...lol

  • Who would have thought the greatest song-writer of the 20th would have such a profound knowledge of the evil thinkings of a comic-book hero ?

  • Their book of photos is one of my favourite - I agree with the folks: Philcat007 and MakingSense53 - they were a fantastic duo.

  • The Paul and Linda story is one of the greatest love stories in rock history. Paul was so talented that he was able to turn an ordinary woman into a musician and performer, so they could tour the world together. Her backup vocals were good and she could play the keybaord with two fingers which is all she neeeded. Their's is one of my favorite love stories. Merry Christmas everyone. Peace.

  • AMEN, YOU SAID IT ALL. I JUST LOVE PAUL

  • I'll just add that she is damn good looking up on that stage and adds a lot of energy. Much better than fn Joko with a sack on her head shrilling some freaking yap shit.

  • Linda was great. Yoko scares me a bit, though. I don't have anything against Japanese people. I'm Japanese myself ...

  • Linda is spectacular on this track.

You have to wonder, though, how one half of the most celebrated songwriting collaborations of the 20th century could become so knowledgeable about the intimate dealings of comic book characters.

  • love the harmony - can not get enough - heard it when it first came out - age 17 or so. Now at age 51 - still get goose shivers. rock on !

  • best song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I really love Paul and this song...but I think Linda shoudn't have been on stage with them. She could't sing or play keyboard.

  • WTF are you talking about?? Linda is singing on this, nice harmonys by the way and yeah she plays keys. Really none of your business whether she should have been there although I think you are entitled to your opinion as long as you get the facts right. So far you haven't

  • I have no ide what the hell this song is about, but it is one classic little gem right up there with Maxwell Hammer. Peace.

  • this song is a hell of alot better than maxwell...which was just a quirky little tune thrown in there,,this has a great trackin beat and full of fun riff's....maxwell has nothing on this great little gem.

  • I agree with you. This beat blows away Maxwell Hammer. Peace.

  • Steve Dahl played a tape on his morning show a while ago... It was of why the sound guy was toldtothe turn the sound all the way down on Linda McCartney.... She had the worst singing voice in the world!!!

    The song was Hey Jude.

  • great stuff cheers from nj USA

  • Man what more can you ask for Paul Mccarntey singing about Comic Book Villans with Jack the King Kirby as artwork behind them man wish I could have seen this show!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i love the Crimson melody also. His voice changes and I just love it... I can listen to this all day long....

  • I love this song so much. I had given it a little break cos I was wearing it out. But everytime I listen, if you could just see the nerdiest happy expression on my face, it just makes me giddy. If anyone is in a bad mood they should just listen to this song, it's an instant upper. It's like the happiest song ever, and I do love the harmony for "Crimson Dynamo" too. I sent it to my brother, and have this distinct feeling that he is closetly listening to this atleast once a day, LOL!!!

  • I like the "And the Crimson Dynamo" melody especially! It's cute! :P

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • listened again today - I am hooked !

  • i listen to this daily - killer song - love the voice change at 1:32 into the song

    This ROCKS !

  • McCartney can create some great bopp, upbeat and fun. thanks for this video. great stuff!

  • joe is very nice on drums......he's the shit...

  • Yes. It's a shame that he didn't play more and get more publicity.

  • Paul is an incredibly versatile songwriter, lol its great.:)

  • ah, man this song rocks.

  • I think the harmonies on this particular version of "Magneto and Titanium Man" just work so well together.

  • Steve Dahl played a tape on his morning show a while ago... It was of why the sound guy was told to turn the sound all the way down on Linda McCartney.... She had the worst singing voice in the world!!!

The song was Hey Jude. The tapeprooved what a lousy singer( even if it was background vocals) she was

  • Linda had ups and downs. The hey jude incident is just one concert. I'm a big wings fan and I've heard worst but also very good tracks, don't forget Linda is not only a singer but a song writer too. If you want to I'll send you a live version of Seaside Woman (Song written entirely by Linda) which proves my point! Peace!

  • OMG - I listen daily to this. It is - rock and roll heaven.

  • I'm glad you like this. Are you blackspace007, or is the 007 at the end of your name simply coincidence?

  • Joe English was a hell of a drummer I think!

  • This song is making me so damn giddy, LOL

  • No that wasn't me, but as many times as I listen to this song and comment I may have to use a different user name to not seem too much like a dork, LOL!!!!!! I can't get enough of this song. Is this normal? LOL.

I'm a woman, but can do a pretty decent Macca imitation, well certain songs really well and some not so much. I want to learn this and sing it live with my friends band that let's me get up and do stuff with them.

Dit dit brrididit brrididit di do dayyyy yeah yeah yeahhh.....

  • Thankyou for posting this. OMG! I never heard this. I am discovering different McCartney songs that I was not aware of and this is one of them. I love this song and this performance. They sounded great and looked like they were having a great time. I bet the audience was happy as shit with the comic book charaters projected up there and the energy of that performance, they were prolly like "Yayyyy!!"

  • I'm glad you enjoy it! You can find the album version on the album "Venus and Mars", one of my personal favorites.

  • cant get enough...love when PM changes his voice...about 1/2 thru - 1:32 in it

  • Can't get enough is right. I listened to this song like almost three times in a row! It's addictive, this song, teehee

  • isent that the villian on iron man

  • I love this !

  • still can embed

  • Nope. You may replace the link from a copy embedding code from a different video, but it will have an error. That's the way YouTube works. :)

  • nope, not the way i do it. Like ill embed this anyway.

  • Well, then if you wouldn't bother embedding this on a website, then why watch this video and spread negativity? I don't need that here, thank you!

  • sorry, very sorry, i was tired, sorry again.

  • Thanks for shareing, This one of my favorite songs in the 8th grade. 'Glad I could find a video of it on YouTube. Thanks!

  • Alright...I have been looking for this on video...thanks for posting!

  • Thanks for posting this!

  • No embedding? That's a shame!

  • Sorry! The thing is, the video's not mine, and I don't feel comfortable having it embedded on the internet.

  • I think you've already crossed that threshold, chief. With an arbitrary code like that, you're a shoe-in for the guild of thieves. :-p

  • XD

was that a terry pratchett reference?

  • I love this song.

Better pick up the DVD now. LOL!

  • Good luck! This is an unofficial release, so your best bet is to find a bootleg on eBay. Go for the 2-disc set. The first disc is the pristine quality concert, and the second disc has the rest of the songs that weren't on the first disc, but the quality is VHS quality.

    Good luck!

  • This song was referenced in a May 2, 2008 Yahoo! article on the new "Iron Man" movie. It said the following:

"Bet you didn't know: The Black Sabbath song 'Iron Man' has nothing to do with the Marvel comic, but Paul McCartney wrote a song called 'Magneto and Titanium Man' that mentions two of Iron Man's nemeses (Titanium Man of course, as well as the Crimson Dynamo)."

  • can't get thos song out my head!!!!!!!!1

  • Wouldve been a another classic Beatles song if...

  • sweet

  • soooooooo cool^^ thx for posting

  • You're very welcome! ^_^

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very good song indeed

  • Awesome. "Jack," by the way, is Jack Kirby, co-creator of Magneto!

  • Ah, I did not know that.

  • Thanks for posting this amazing video! Great song! Venus and Mars rules!

  • My favorite album. :)

  • what a good quality :D

  • lol linda isnt even singing or playing half the time

  • Love those ol' Wings harmonies

  • I SO wish "Rockshow" had been included in it's entirety on The McCartney Years dvd. The parts they did have sounded so good.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry. I just don't want want people to put this on other pages, 'cause technically, this video is not mine.

  • Fuck yeah! This is one of my favorites!

  • Wings Over America is one of the all-time greatest live albums!

  • Heck yeah! And to see the concert is amazing!

  • Love Karen Carpenter, too!

    So tragic and unnecessary.

I'l never understand how all those around her let things get so far...

  • Well, you see, people were trying to get her to go to a hospital, but she said she was fine. It wasn't until she was about 90 pounds that she actually realized she needed help. But yeah, what a tragic death. You know, yesterday (the 4th) was the 25th anniversary of her death.
