There was an interview he did with a magasine a while back and it said that his parents were upset about him leaving school. He couldn't stand to see them upset so he went back to study.
Well it's common for a band to have two guitarists, but as you said Bou left the music business for good, to "pursue his dreams"(which probably weren't music related) Teruki is still in contact with him though. I heard the hiatus might be over this summer, but it's just a rumor....

@hitomicake I had hoped that Bou would have been there for their Bodukan show. It would have been nice to see him on stage with the all of the guys, even for just one song, as like a guest spot or something. I think it would have been a great moment for fans of the older stuff and newer stuff, alike.

@BURNoutxx I think people just expect him to have the same persona as in An Cafe and he doesn't. I think it's obvious Miku wants to be taken seriously with this band. I honestly believe Miku feels really passionate about Lc5, it's not just about fun.

There's a Facebook group who says "We think An Cafe would be better whitout Yuuki" :( it's a spanish group. And they says that they hate him just because he looks kind of different (ugly in their opinion). I didn't think they can call theirself cafekkos if they not even can accept one of the members own personal style. Okay, Yuuki COULD be really hot if someone gave him a real make-over, but I like him though because he's a part of An Cafe wich is one of my favourite bands! :D
@Agnesstation Miku, Kanon and Teruki hand picked their new members, which means there was a reason for them being in the band. Miku, for one, seems to adore Yuuki. xD So any cafekko disrespecting Yuuki isn't a real cafekko. It came to the point where Yuuki apologized for them disliking him. He should never have had to. ]:

They have assumptions that An Cafe is no more because Lc5 was made, but An Cafe has brought in a lot of Jrock fans because they've always been spreading their music into different countries and getting their music out there. Because of that, most people don't have knowledge of the other Jrock band members that have had their own side projects. :]
Bou left a long time ago. I don't see him coming back. I liked him, but he probably wasn't happy being in the band after a while. He released a statement saying something like that. He wanted to something different, and if that's what he wants, I'm happy for him. Fame isn't for everyone.
@vglp33 Maybe. I think he's stressed. There were rumors of him possibly being engaged and having a kid on the way. He's always seemed so young and I guess he feels he needs to grow up and be mature. I just wish he would stop changing his face so much. It's getting harder and harder to recognize him.

@lunitique I agree with you too! Some of my friends actually hate Yuuki and Takuya a lot. Even though Bou is still really important to me, I understand that he won't come back. People should give Yuuki and Takuya a fair chance instead of just hating them with no reason. Bou left because he wanted to leave. Fans should respect his decision if this was what he wanted.

Lc5 is a solo project of Miku. (See the Myspace and OHP of An Cafe) A lot of bandmembers starts with soloprojects AND staying in the band. I don't know why everybody is worried and talks about that An Cafe is disbanded instead of is on a hiatus. Don't worry, please have patience :-)

I agree with you 100%! I personally, love Yuuki. I think he's adorable and unique and not like other J'Rockers like you said. Yeah, I miss Bou. Rumors were said about why Bou left, and one of them could be true, or not. No one said they were. And if Bou does go back into An Cafe, there could be 2 guitarists, and much more music. Besides, they never comfirmed he wasn't ever coming back anyways. And I accepted Takuya and Yuuki right away. The first song I ever heard by An Cafe was Cherry Saku Yuuki, and I loved it.

Yuuki wasn't the first keyboarder in the visual kei scene. There were many other bands who used keyboard, too. For example the Band Jeniva with their keyborder Junna and Jeniva was formed in 2004.
I just don't think Yuuki fits An Cafe. But it doesn't matter; the original Antique Cafe will always be Miku, Bou, Kanon, and Teruki; regardless of who is and isn't in the band anymore.

Takuya and Bou could work well together, maybe if Yuuki decides to leave and the slim chance that Bou could return to An Cafe, that would work well. Bou wouldn't forget Miku, Kanon and Teruki.
I think if Bou wanted to return to the music world he would have to start his own band. Sure, it could work for him to join An Cafe again, but it just wouldn't be the same. An Cafe had this totally different persona with Takuya and Yuuki. And it wouldn't be fair for Yuuki to leave when his instrument does not even interfere with Bou's. I just think things would be thrown off and that Bou wouldn't have decided to leave if he thought he'd come back.

Well, thanks, but... uhh... listen. Japanese is not my first language, my second, or third. To be honest, my Japanese sucks quite a bit. But my voice and accent makes it difficult to pronounce a lot of things. I'd rather say it slowly so people can understand who and what I'm talking about, rather than say it quickly and they get confused. If you didn't notice, I pronounced plenty other things badly. xD I'm not a very good speaker. :/

Bou created AnCafe. It's his band, so he'll forever be a part of it. If he did decide to come back, most J-bands have two guitarists. . .but he's not comming back. Least not anytime soon.
Have they confirmed to be coming back next year? All I've heard is they'd be back in summer 20XX. But yes, Takuya is wonderful. And Bou was and always will be a part of An Cafe, but he will never be in the band again, sad to some, but very true.

I know it's not gonna happen, but it would be amazing if Bou came back when the hiatus ends. And personally, I love Takuya and Yuuki, and I accept that Bou is gone.

There's a Facebook group who says "We think An Cafe would be better whitout Yuuki" :( it's a spanish group. And they says that they hate him just because he looks kind of different (ugly in their opinion). I didn't think they can call theirself cafekkos if they not even can accept one of the members own personal style. Okay, Yuuki COULD be really hot if someone gave him a real make-over, but I like him though because he's a part of An Cafe wich is one of my favourite bands! :D

an cafe and lc5 are 2 different bads so they cant sound the same... its like ayabie and megamasso.since ryohei did the guitar stuff for both bands, both kinda sounded the same &they told ryohei to change it for megamasso &besideslc5 has different band members so they want to make those kinds of songs.this is just a side project of miku like hide from x japan made other bands like spread beavers &luna sea. & nightmare did sendai kamotsu.nightmare &sendai kamotsu sound very different, right? :))

They have assumptions that An Cafe is no more because Lc5 was made, but An Cafe has brought in a lot of Jrock fans because they've always been spreading their music into different countries and getting their music out there. Because of that, most people don't have knowledge of the other Jrock band members that have had their own side projects. :]

Bou left a long time ago. I don't see him coming back. I liked him, but he probably wasn't happy being in the band after a while. He released a statement saying something like that. He wanted to something different, and if that's what he wants, I'm happy for him. Fame isn't for everyone.

@vglp33 Maybe. I think he's stressed. There were rumors of him possibly being engaged and having a kid on the way. He's always seemed so young and I guess he feels he needs to grow up and be mature. I just wish he would stop changing his face so much. It's getting harder and harder to recognize him.

@JustB181 I believe Bou thought long and hard about leaving and that it was the hardest thing he had ever had to do, but he wouldn't have done it if he wasn't sure. It hurt him to hurt his band members and his fans, but he had to leave for him and people just fail to see that. It was his choice, and I am positive he wont change it. I admire him for taking a step like that for himself instead of living miserably for everyone else.

@lunitique I agree with you too! Some of my friends actually hate Yuuki and Takuya a lot. Even though Bou is still really important to me, I understand that he won't come back. People should give Yuuki and Takuya a fair chance instead of just hating them with no reason. Bou left because he wanted to leave. Fans should respect his decision if this was what he wanted.

Lc5 is a solo project of Miku. (See the Myspace and OHP of An Cafe) A lot of bandmembers starts with soloprojects AND staying in the band. I don't know why everybody is worried and talks about that An Cafe is disbanded instead of is on a hiatus. Don't worry, please have patience :-)

I agree with you 100%! I personally, love Yuuki. I think he's adorable and unique and not like other J'Rockers like you said. Yeah, I miss Bou. But he's isn't coming back and people can't seem to let go. I have said this exact same thing to my friends and just people in general, thank you for posting this up. Rumors were said about why Bou left, and one of them could be true, or not. No one said they were. And if Bou does go back into An Cafe, there could be 2 guitarists, and much more music. Besides, they never comfirmed he wasn't ever coming back anyways. And I accepted Takuya and Yuuki right away. The first song I ever heard by An Cafe was Cherry Saku Yuuki, and I loved it.

I would add another 500 "very's" to that if I could. IMO, he's not coming back. But that's not to say it's impossible. I know I can't say that, because I don't know what An Cafe is thinking, or Bou. Yuuki wasn't the first keyboarder in the visual kei scene. There were many other bands who used keyboard, too. For example the Band Jeniva with their keyborder Junna and Jeniva was formed in 2004.

I just don't think Yuuki fits An Cafe. But it doesn't matter; the original Antique Cafe will always be Miku, Bou, Kanon, and Teruki; regardless of who is and isn't in the band anymore.

Although I was in Tokyo the other day and I saw the band Dir en grey in concert, and heard some rumors around that Bou is going to be in one of LC5's videos. Don't know if it's true, but I hope so!

Takuya and Bou could work well together, maybe if Yuuki decides to leave and the slim chance that Bou could return to An Cafe, that would work well. Bou wouldn't forget Miku, Kanon and Teruki.

I think if Bou wanted to return to the music world he would have to start his own band. Sure, it could work for him to join An Cafe again, but it just wouldn't be the same. An Cafe had this totally different persona with Takuya and Yuuki. And it wouldn't be fair for Yuuki to leave when his instrument does not even interfere with Bou's. I just think things would be thrown off and that Bou wouldn't have decided to leave if he thought he'd come back.

Well, thanks, but... uhh... listen. Japanese is not my first language, my second, or third. To be honest, my Japanese sucks quite a bit. But my voice and accent makes it difficult to pronounce a lot of things. I'd rather say it slowly so people can understand who and what I'm talking about, rather than say it quickly and they get confused. If you didn't notice, I pronounced plenty other things badly. xD I'm not a very good speaker. :/

I japanese isn't my first language either, but i am an aspiring japanese singer so i always have to make sure that my pronunciation sounds right. well keep practicing and i'm sure your pronunciation will improve!!
