  • thank you SO much! this video is great, i'm trying to learn burmese now because my boyfriend is burmese :)

  • is that a specific call for older male/female or younger male/female just want to polite with them..ok jay zu tin ba te..

  • @yakup788 sure. we use it for any gender, any age.

  • You say it is very uncommon for a burmese girl to tell a man she loves him.

Let's say I had a burmese girlfriend. If I told her "Nin ko ngar chit tae", should I assume she doesn't love me back if she doesn't respond the same way?

(I don't have a burmese girlfriend. This is hypothetical.)

  • @gutzs Most Burmese Girls ( typical Burmese from Burma) are shy. I don't think "Being Frank" is not in their dictionary yet. LOL. So, the very likely answer they'd probably give it to you is just "nodding" their head.

I'm not so sure about the generation these days. Maybe time has changed? Gotta check it out when I visit Burma next time.

(your hypothetical question is funny enough)

  • @MissBurmese Ok, interesting.

  • Thank you very much for this translation...

  • i miss you 2 :P

  • oH your English speaking is very good! sis

  • Can you write "I love you" in actual Burmese for me please?

  • @leihoa Yep! Nouvelle Vague - "Dance With Me". They are lovely, aren't they?

  • @MissBurmese yes, indeed, they are :)
