  • Baretta was awesome

  • why isnt it loaded up here on tube, copy right issues or just nobody has any copies laying around on VHS

  • My favorite was the "Ragtime" Billy Peaches character. Why aren't all the Barettas available on DVD?

  • Thank you Sammy Davis Jr. for this unforgettable solo

  • @zalmoulin You thought Blake was innocent? What are you, on Angel Dust? Of course he did it.

  • One of history's great uber-assholes and a real head case. Anyone old enough to remember his weepy meltdowns on Carson? What a dick! But - it turned out - not a bad shot.

  • @taintedjack Jack I too think he murdered his wife and u remember him from the "Our Gang" comedy series right?????? The Little Rascals

  • My God I have been searching for Baretta for ages. When I was a kid this was on really really late at night and my dad would let me stay up and watch it.

Every night there was a different cop show on, over here in England and there was a cop show from Australia called BONEY, does anyone remember BONEY ? Is it on Youtube ? Also is this guy who played Baretta still alive ?

Thanks for sharing and bringing back some very happy memories.

    Greetings from England

  • Yes Robert Blake is still alive. He was accused of killing his wife which he was aquited of. He also was one of the original little rascals. bobby.

...and you can take that to the bank!

  • I will and always have loved Robert Blake... did anyone else see the beginning of the end when he went on the Tom Snyder Show clear back in the late 8o's or early 90's sometime publicly asking for a date throughout the entire thing? I was sure a gold digger would respond...

  • I did see that Late Late Show.

  • i wish i had a time machine to back to that time again.was so peacefull and nice!

you are right! this time is just a nightmare.

  • My favorite show during the best years of my life. I was 10 and 11. I associate those years with such joys as being able to sleep in because it snowed so much school was canceled. I'd spend the day sleigh riding and get an extra day or two added to my weekend. I'd watch Baretta every Friday night. On Saturday I'd go to my cousin's house for a sleep over. We'd watch Monty Python's Flying Circus each Saturday night on public TV and then spend Sunday skating at a roller rink. NE Pennsylvania 1976.

  • baretta una de las bandas de sonido e historias mas interesantes de todas las series

  • @androusmore the 70's were peaceful?? i know what you mean, but in reality is it just because we were kids? because i think in fact theres was been a war and violence going nonstop since the 30's. but we don't notice until we get older. love this show though, watched it with my dad along with swat, rockford files and dirt sally

  • You are ABSOLUTLY¡¡¡¡,right man!BRING THE OLD TIMES BACK!

  • i was 3 months old when beretta was aired an still remember the first episode

  • "Don't do the crime if you don't have the time." I remember this and it stills hangs true. Loved this show.

  • Loved this show back in the old days...once I encountered Tom Ewell standing behind me in line at the L.A. County Fair in Pomona. Today I teach Traffic Violator School, and in the classes I tell students that if they're not sure about whether to execute a U-turn under any given circumstances, they should follow the dictum of Davis/Baretta--Don't Do It!

  • Oh how,I just love this show and the Man in it ! Robert Blake is number one in my Heart and,I never believed for one second that he had anything to do with that crime he was accused of.

  • Hey cowboyluvr! Props to you! I love Robert Blake as well...always used to watch Baretta as a kid!

Matter of fact, I was watching that night in '77 when NY got zapped by the big blackout ;-)

Loved the stories he used to tell Johnny whenever he was a guest on the Tonight Show.

30+ years since I've heard it, and I remember it

    word for word... memories.

  • The best part of the show was Baretta's pimp friend.

  • Baretta wonderful series and eye of the sparrow great opening theme. Awesome.

  • Paris Hilton's new theme song.

  • what kind of cockatoo was beratta's bird? do you know?????

  • it was an african cockatoo

  • Sammy-excellent singing; Bob Blake-a nutcake and a half.

  • You know him personally? If you don't, then don't judge people....he was found innocent, in case you forgot. If you don't like him, why are you here?

  • hey cool. thanks.

  • I was just searching for an episode of the series in here - I wish someone would post some of them, divided into two 10 min parts.... I think it had been a 30 min show, but yea, that would work. :)

  • Don't go to bed, with no price on your head - No, no, don't do it.

Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time - Yeah, don't do it.

And keep your eye on the sparrow.

    When the going gets narrow.

Don't do it, don't do it.

Where can I go where the cold winds don't blow,

    Now. Well, well, well.

  • beautiful! How about adding a couple of minutes from the TV show - they're so hard to find - only the first season is on DVD.
