  • OMG LOOK AT THERE FEET i would frickin fall LOL

  • All of a sudden its 1925 again. Without the B&W scratched up jerky film and no sound. Now we have fuzzy pictures and slow downloads. Nonetheless, this is still a lot of fun and true to the period.

  • @errolfan

    true...but not bad for my $70 digital camera & a tripod ;)

  • @threeholdfour Nice work. You captured the moment.

  • wow wo kann ich das lernen!!!

  • THATS WHAT YOU CALL DANCING. WEEBING55555.

  • The Real deal!!

  • terrific stuff. thats what i call dancing . weebing55555

  • Does anyone know if and when this picnic will be held this year and if they have a website?

  • @nerdinthebasement @nerdinthebasement It'll be the second Sunday of September. There's been a rumor that last year was the last year it'd be held, but The Gatsby Summer Afternoon lives on! You can find more information on this event as well as others hosted by the Art Deco Society of California at their homepage: artdecosociety . org

  • wow.. that was amazing..

  • what if they shuffled? that would be so epic with that good of footwork

  • Classy Event.....

  • wholy shit, how do they do that, they almost look like their feet dont touch the floor

  • The best thing with this couple, is that they use the authentic 1920's ground step, in a way that makes it look as though they are magically floating along the floor. I just love their style. They bring elegance back into the Charleston.

  • De todos los videos de Charleston que vi, creo que este es uno de los cinco mejores. Y de los cinco el primero. Realmente están en la época, no sólo en la vestimenta, sino en los pasos. Mesurados, no como los que bailan ahora que exageran muchos números.

  • The cat's meow!

  • Hey! That's me!!!! Wow!!!

  • Woah, no way! That's me too!!!

  • What a grand travel back into time. Thanx for the fabulous routine!!!

  • Where did this Gatsby picnic take place? There were Gatsby picnics at the Wattles mansion in Hollywood 20 years ago. Is this the same one? Over on my page I have a clip taken off the news on Tv of me dancing and singing at the Gatsby picnic 20 years ago.

  • This was a performance at the Gatsby Picnic, put on by the Art Deco Society of California. It is a recreation of a 1920's summer afternoon picnic at the Art Deco Dunsmuir Mansion estates in Oakland, CA.

  • Very good dancing!

  • Dear Lynne and Peter

You are the Cats Pajamas and the Bees Knees! My Grandad did the Charleston in England in the 20's and told me one of his girlfriends had bells on her garters that jingled when she danced!

Thank you so much for your performance - it made my day!

  • I'm gonna have to bite some of those moves...pretty sweet stuff!

  • Wish we had such an event in Europe!

  • AMAZING! i loved it! :)

  • Wow! great dancing. Was that the band or a recording playing behind them. Who was I listening to?

  • Thanks all! Hi Meredith. The song is "Every Evening (I Miss You)" by Jimmie Noone's Apex Orchestra.

  • Absolutely charming and TOTALLY amazing!

  • I just put this in my favorites. Peter was so modest when I mentioned you guys had won some big competition - he'd said there was not much competition in this narrow field of dance - but you guys are utterly terrific! You are so much more interesting than dancers on TV and such. You are captivating to watch!

  • Hi Meredith!

Hey thanks for the send! This one is great!

I gave it 5 stars and favorite'd it so it will show up on my facebook page pretty quick!

They are fantastic! I see why they are champs!

Hope you have a wonderful 2009!
