I don't know half of these things. Most I never was taught in school plus it's been a while. These kids are taught these specific things before they go on the show. They're not even questions that measure intelligence, they're just a list of random small bits of information the average person will never use in real life.

And the contestants get rewarded with prizes. They are not going to reward contestants for knowing stuff that everyone in the world already and still knows. Otherwise, they'd just GIVE it to them cuz what would the point be if they answer questions EVERYONE knows.
