In fact, Billy Joe said that he liked what he heard of Bulevard of Broken Songs (Another song on the album). Unfortunately, the guys in legalities got together with the guys in advertising and decided that Dean Grays mashup album would take attention away from American Idiot rather than give it publicity. So they had the songs taken down due to copyright infringement
