If she was paying attention, they were talking about her album and it being feature on such a popular tv show (then) would be awesome for her. That voice that randomly came in with "wrap it up" was the only true rude person. Like, dude, seriously? Grow up and get off your "ooh, I'm a radio host" high horse.
Fuck what all you fuckers are talking about, Lil Mama was acting like a BITCH when he asked he her about "Lip Gloss" being on Nip Tuck. In return the went in on her dumbass which was fucking hilarious! WRAP IT UP!!!! I guess a lot of you idiots didn't listen. Youtube has millions of dumbasses.
Can't believe they babbled on for 5 minutes about that. Yes she was rude BUT I'm sure she has more than enough money not to care that she's dead to you. Plus the radio show host were just as rude.
The interviewer loves to start shit up like all interviewer love to do. Especially in the black community, the media likes to put words in your mouth to start beef. Then they get mad when you flip the script. Fuck them interviewers that can EAD
Let's see, the radio host was trying to cpmpliment you on having a song on a highly rated TV show, and you wanted to move to the next subject. The ysaw yo uwere getting upset, and set you up to look like a dummy...dummy!
What is WRONG with that girl?! O.O Seriously, she needs someone close to her to tell her to calm it down and realize that everyone's not out to get her and if she doesn't know what Nip Tuck is...ASK FIRST before you go off. She must be going through some stuff and is out of control. smh She deserved to get rushed off the phone...since she wants to rude and obnoxious like that. She's not even all that big to even THINK she can act like a diva..and most divas don't even act like that. geez.
Damn she was rude as hell. We get that you want to plug your album and your charity, but you need to at least cater to and be respectful to the people hosting the show...your a guest, this is not your show, and they are giving you the privledge to plug your stuff.
It was the radio show saying 'Wrap It Up'; it's a bit they do. They just wanted to get a guest on so they could make a jerk out of them. DJs like this are assholes that think they're celebrities, when in actuality they are just sitting in a room yammering about nonsense and playing the worst music in the world. Fuck 'em
It was a little unprofessional the way the radio people handled this but they do have a very strong point... I mean who wants to listen to someone who believes the sun shines out of their behind?
What radio station is this? They are so unprofessional. They were the ones that was rude not Lil Mama. I'm not a fan of Lil Mama but they are making her out to be this rude chick that at least on this audio clip she wasn't.

Wow! These interviewers/hosts were very unreasonable and just simple minded. It was funny how they just fed off of one another to try to make lil Mama look ignorant, selfish and rude when that's not at all (in my opinion) the case. They reminded me of a bunch of high school kids trying to gang up on someone behind that persons back...LOL So sad. And immature to say the least. How could they not understand what her focus was, and how contrary to the nip/tuck scene they were so engrossed in? smh
I feel bad for Lil Mama, I completely understand where she was coming from. It might seem rude, but you probably don't understand how she took it. First of all, like any artist, she is serious about her art. Secondly, they start off talking about a sex scene in a show with her song playing. Then when he explains it, its about plastic surgery and some guy is about to have sex with this gorgeous woman. That's not up Lil Mama's alley whatsoever as the 'VYP'. I can understand her obvious resentment

wow real cuture clash. I was cringing. Well I am English and these kinds of social senarios make us go red. But come on lets hang the girl cause she dont watch nip tuck. (that was ironic by the way).

@BOISHA1 In a way i agree and disagree with you. I think the interview wouldn't have happend like that if she wasn't rude first. She should be HAPPY a show like nip tuck played her music that show gets major ratings and A list celebrities make apperances sometimes. Not a good look on lil mama's part.
ma f all u f'rs talking about lil mama...yall like 45 making 1/4 of the money she makes and the sad thing is she's probably only a 1/4 of ur age...yall jus spent the last 6 min talkin bout....bad upbringing no sir she jus not a punk a** sugar coding mother f*****r like yall...good job lil mama! only respect those who respect you say what u mean and mean what u say always
Wow, what makes her think shes all high and mighty. Shes just a bitchy nappy bitchy rude cunt. All she is is an unimportant one hit wonder loser. Next, shes gotta be kicked off of the judging table for Americas Best Dance Crew.
Cough cough this is a very old interview therefore it does not prove anything really i mean... if u look at it from my point of view lil mama is just doing what she must do to avoid any issues with some whom is still underground and someone a whole lot of ppl still dont know anything about... this was a waste of an upload personally so what she mentioned ur name it is life ppl are prone to talk about u...
Wow... those white people were REALLY RUDE to her... at lease she didn't lose her cool. She didn't want to talk about Nip/Tuck... so WHAT! ... she is promoting her album... Most of the time artists are sitting there doing a radio show sweep... talking to multiple DJ's across the nation, for them to f*** with her like this isn't even cool. This makes me sick... they don't get her... and she ALL took their crap...
"She probably had a really bad upbringing and it's not her fault" WOW...
@kameelion What does them being white have to do with ANYTHING? Furthermore, Lil' Mama was the one being rude. All the dude asked her was how she felt about her song being used in a television show. She wouldn't shut up for 2 seconds! I want to ask Lil' Mama how she talks without breathing, LOL.
@TGUNZ562 calling their race into question was an abbreviated commentary on the cultural disconnect that is blatantly present in this clip. Radio shows purposefully cater to very specific cultural communities... Lil Mama was on a show that clearly wasn't in tune with her demographic, or her as an artist.
And a far as her dismissal, she tactfully tried to redirect the conversation. They did not respect her in acknowledging that. All parties need a lesson in cooth.
@TGUNZ562 i can. if there is a reference to more than one black person, "those black people" would be a correct statement. likewise, the radio show hosts are clearly white, so i said "those white people," which is also a true statement. i can see where you're coming from even if we don't see eye to eye.
perception is personal, but shouldn't be taken personally.
After seeing her On that Randy jackson thing, I can't stand her. She's probably a nice person but after all I hear out of her mouth is "Y'all": in a monotonous whining way, all I can do is switch over the TV, as I no longer give two shits about if her lipgloss is poppin, cool, and no, I no nothin about you, and don't wish to. O h yeah, after seeing her on Cribs too, that is either her grandma's house or some next person because that was not all that
@sweet2def If you really feel that way about Lil Mama then why in the blue hell are you watching this video?... That like pretty much defeats the purpose.
@martinezluis72 Dear, It's a video site, I watch what I darn well please. The video title sparked my interest, so I watched THAT was the purpose, if you must know!...Eh yo, Youtube, How much are you paying this jobsworth to monitor the comments. He on commission or something?
1. My screen name is on the screen and it's not "jobsworth" :)
2. I'm not a "he"
3. If martinezluis72 and I want to talk about this in the comment section of Youtube then that's what we're going to do. If all that matter to you is the video then stick to the video.
@TVP4 i called u a prick bcoz my original comment had fuck all to go with u. U and ur ass licker felt the need to come at me for commenting, like i was the only mother fucker commenting. After nothing there was directed at u, and is merely an opinion, only a prick would get on their moral high ground over an old ass youtube vid :p
@sweet2def Ma'am, if it is your sole purpose to watch a video so you can talk pointless trash about them then you have exposed your own ignorance. If you don't like Lil Mama, i suggest you don't any of her videos cause your only inflicting pain on yourself by doing so.
@sweet2def It looks like you dont have much of response do you? Like said you have you have expose you ignorance, hit me back when you more of a response and mature not acting like a little ignorant brat! and HAVE NICE DAY! LOL!
@martinezluis72 i have nothing to say bcoz this debate isn't stimulating. You've lost your train of thought and are therefore boring! Your passion for lil mama is both endearing and sad, It's nt blasphemy, its an opinion, so chill the fuck out. If u and ur dickhead friend feel the need 2 come at ppl based on what they think, jus 2 valid8 ur pityful, limited existance, DO U DEAR, coz i'm done entertainin ur nonsence.
@sweet2def LOL, You funny! I'm not her to entertain or stimulate you. I'm here to heed the warning for what lies a head to your own ignorance, and the only nonsense i hears is the stuff thats coming out of your mouth. You confuse your own hatred for opinion; Opinion is making a valid point. By you saying you hate Lil Mama you not making a point. So i suggest you quit contradicting yourself.
I dont see what was funny about the shit, i actually think because she is so nice and respectful she keeps getting disrespected. Damn its tough in the industry..im still a lil mama fan. She worked to get where shes at and i respect that...
See, this is why being a diva doesn't pay. You can ruin your career by mouthing off to the wrong person. This is why people stress "be nice to everyone." Even if her song was used in a show she doesn't like she doesn't have to make it into a negative thing. Her mouthing off isn't going to disassociate her with the show since the song was already used and the episode was already aired. She could have just accepted the compliment about it and kept it moving without being rude.
She was'nt being rude those radio idiots were. They were suppose to ask her about her album, and their talking about some damn so named Nip/Tuck. and after the interview they start talking trash about her.. Like thats real mature?! so no my friend she was'nt being rude they were.
@martinezluis72 A lot of these types of interview start with small talk. For instance if Miss Nana was on Dancing with the Stars to perform they would probably start with that then use that to segway into the album release. I agree that they could have just dropped it instead of continuing to talk trash about her. Still...Lil Mama was being rude and just like they could have dealt with it differently, she could have dealt with it differently.
@TVP4 She was just defending herself. you got them calling her "Bow Wow, Mortor Mouth, Lil Nana, etc. So what do you expect her to do?... Stay quiet and not say nothing. She was just promoting herself and those radio punks were acting like 2 years olds while she was doing that.
@martinezluis72 Even before they started calling her outside her (stage) name, which was uncool, she could have handled the initial question better. She probably could have said something like, "No, I didn't see the show, but I'm glad you all enjoyed it." They probably would have moved on because at that point there would have been nothing left to say about the Nip Tuck episode. Then she could have promoted her album, gained some fans, and help boost album sales.
@TVP4 Yeah but she did implied that to them by saying "No, i did'nt see the show, so can we start talking about the album?" and they kept just jumping by back to the topic of the show. When your radio Dj you suppose to keep things on business and promotion instead of talking about some damn show... Thats like stuff you talk about out of the work environment. You feel me?
@martinezluis72 "No, i didn't see...the album?" That's not a good response even when you're talking to a random off the air. Technically, on air IS a DJ's work environment. It's ok for a DJ to try to have fun with guests by talking about pop culture related to the artist. Also, having your song played on a TV show IS promo! Talking about it is MORE promo! This whole interview was a mess from the time it started to the unnecessary drawn out part after Lil Mama got off the show.
@TVP4 Explain to me why would a PG Rated Female Rapper would want to hear her song on a TV 14 Show?.. and they were'nt having fun with her, they insulting her. and even if she was being a little rude.. its understandable cause she's like 17 years old during this interview, and these radio jerks are like in their 20's or 30's so they know better.
@martinezluis72 Coming from someone who's in school for radio, television, and film I'm giving the radio guys a benefit of the doubt. When I was in high school there were people my age (17 and 18) who were watching Nip Tuck. A lot of those people are in college now, and are friends of theirs, so they probably assumed she watched it too. Even though it's a poor assumption on their part I still think the entire thing could have been handled differently. My response to the question was...(TBC)
@TVP4 ...just an example. She could have expressed that she didn't watch the show and wasn't a fan of the show in her response w/o going about it the way she did. I just want to make it clear again that I'm not condoning the actions of the DJs by saying this about Lil Mama. They could have handled it better. I respect that she's all for the young people and not being slutty just because she's popular. BTW: Just in case you thought I was, I'm not mad at you. I'm just debating my point with you.
@TVP4 Yeah, but what you fail to realize is that Nip/Tuck does'nt appeal to hip-hop audences. I don't even watch the damn show. Lil Mama would most likely watch "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" or "Martin" on BET and TV ONE instead of a show like Nip/Tuck.
True. I think the only reason why the label let Nip/Tuck use the song is because they were getting money from it. I doubt they debated Lil Mama's rep or even cared about it. Shows like the ones you mentioned (even though they are great shows) are far and few. Usually the show goes to the label about the music, not the other way around...though it can happen.
@TVP4 Well, i have enjoyed this debate and we both make very good valid points about the subject. I just find it ridiculious on how people blame everything on Lil Mama though and when its not her fault, people stil blame her.
Honestly, they were both a little rude but I can see Lil Mama's side of this. I wouldn't want to be associated with Nip/Tuck either. She probably thought they were trying to offend her @ the beginning of the interview.
Lmao

Yeah I thought that was a really low blow...especially with what happened to her mom. :(
TVP4 1 year ago

All parties need a lesson in cooth.
kameelion 1 year ago
@kameelion bitch, you tried hard as fuck to sound smart! HAHA LOL I dont wanna hear dat shit dat shit was racist as fuck!

@TGUNZ562 don't have to try. i am. come up. peace and love.
kameelion 1 year ago
@kameelion Bitch, you dumb as fuck. Talking about "those white people", can you imagine a white person saying "those black people'?
TGUNZ562 1 year ago

@sweet2def Ma'am, if it is your sole purpose to watch a video so you can talk pointless trash about them then you have exposed your own ignorance. If you don't like Lil Mama, i suggest you don't any of her videos cause your only inflicting pain on yourself by doing so.

So i suggest you quit contradicting yourself.

rockstaryoung 1 year ago
See, this is why being a diva doesn't pay. You can ruin your career by mouthing off to the wrong person. This is why people stress "be nice to everyone." Even if her song was used in a show she doesn't like she doesn't have to make it into a negative thing. Her mouthing off isn't going to disassociate her with the show since the song was already used and the episode was already aired. She could have just accepted the compliment about it and kept it moving without being rude.
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4
She was'nt being rude those radio idiots were. They were suppose to ask her about her album, and their talking about some damn so named Nip/Tuck. and after the interview they start talking trash about her.. Like thats real mature?! so no my friend she was'nt being rude they were.
martinezluis72 1 year ago
@martinezluis72 A lot of these types of interview start with small talk. For instance if Miss Nana was on Dancing with the Stars to perform they would probably start with that then use that to segway into the album release. I agree that they could have just dropped it instead of continuing to talk trash about her. Still...Lil Mama was being rude and just like they could have dealt with it differently, she could have dealt with it differently.
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 She was just defending herself. you got them calling her "Bow Wow, Mortor Mouth, Lil Nana, etc. So what do you expect her to do?... Stay quiet and not say nothing. She was just promoting herself and those radio punks were acting like 2 years olds while she was doing that.
martinezluis72 1 year ago
@martinezluis72 Even before they started calling her outside her (stage) name, which was uncool, she could have handled the initial question better. She probably could have said something like, "No, I didn't see the show, but I'm glad you all enjoyed it." They probably would have moved on because at that point there would have been nothing left to say about the Nip Tuck episode. Then she could have promoted her album, gained some fans, and help boost album sales.
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 Yeah but she did implied that to them by saying "No, i did'nt see the show, so can we start talking about the album?" and they kept just jumping by back to the topic of the show. When your radio Dj you suppose to keep things on business and promotion instead of talking about some damn show... Thats like stuff you talk about out of the work environment. You feel me?
martinezluis72 1 year ago
@martinezluis72 "No, i didn't see...the album?" That's not a good response even when you're talking to a random off the air. Technically, on air IS a DJ's work environment. It's ok for a DJ to try to have fun with guests by talking about pop culture related to the artist. Also, having your song played on a TV show IS promo! Talking about it is MORE promo! This whole interview was a mess from the time it started to the unnecessary drawn out part after Lil Mama got off the show.
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 Correction: "random person off the air"
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 Explain to me why would a PG Rated Female Rapper would want to hear her song on a TV 14 Show?.. and they were'nt having fun with her, they insulting her. and even if she was being a little rude.. its understandable cause she's like 17 years old during this interview, and these radio jerks are like in their 20's or 30's so they know better.
martinezluis72 1 year ago
@martinezluis72 Coming from someone who's in school for radio, television, and film I'm giving the radio guys a benefit of the doubt. When I was in high school there were people my age (17 and 18) who were watching Nip Tuck. A lot of those people are in college now, and are friends of theirs, so they probably assumed she watched it too. Even though it's a poor assumption on their part I still think the entire thing could have been handled differently. My response to the question was...(TBC)
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 ...just an example. She could have expressed that she didn't watch the show and wasn't a fan of the show in her response w/o going about it the way she did. I just want to make it clear again that I'm not condoning the actions of the DJs by saying this about Lil Mama. They could have handled it better. I respect that she's all for the young people and not being slutty just because she's popular. BTW: Just in case you thought I was, I'm not mad at you. I'm just debating my point with you.
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 Yeah, but what you fail to realize is that Nip/Tuck does'nt appeal to hip-hop audences. I don't even watch the damn show. Lil Mama would most likely watch "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" or "Martin" on BET and TV ONE instead of a show like Nip/Tuck.
martinezluis72 1 year ago 11
@martinezluis72
TVP4 1 year ago
@TVP4 Well, i have enjoyed this debate and we both make very good valid points about the subject. I just find it ridiculious on how people blame everything on Lil Mama though and when its not her fault, people stil blame her.
martinezluis72 1 year ago
Honestly, they were both a little rude but I can see Lil Mama's side of this. I wouldn't want to be associated with Nip/Tuck either. She probably thought they were trying to offend her @ the beginning of the interview.
