CCW 2.62: World of New Krypton Review

Bruce Wayne is being played by Hush for now. He altered his face and vocal chords in a plan to replace him. Also, Batman Confidential is not Legends of the dark knight. Good story, but not the same quality writing or art and it's also out of timeline.

I haven't enjoyed Superman comics for quite a while or DC in general... Just when Batman was getting really good, Legends of the Dark Knight is canceled and Darkseid kills (or not) him.

I have been a regular at the comic shop my whole life and I haven't bought one issue in over a year. (I've previewed online and been unhappy)

Once things get settled I'll start buying again but for now I am not happy.

One last thing. BOOSTER GOLD SUCKS!!! Fuck that guy

LOL! That came outta left field. Yeah, the comics scene looks pretty bleak in some areas, but it's good in others. You just have to look harder to find the stuff that's worth your while.

I don't like the fact that Supes isn't in his own books, but I think the Mon-El and Guardian storyline right now is actually pretty good.

Superman's powers is not what makes him "special" it is his strength of will to do what is right no matter what and his unwavering moral compass.

Hey, guys! Hope you read "Action Comics" issue #875, because it was actually really great!

Greg Rucka's writing was great and the story is better than anticipated, I feel. And Eddy Barrows art is supurb.

I like seeing Chris (Lor-Zod) back, because I was wondering what happened to him after he got sucked back into the Phantom Zone.

Even without Superman, the book still stands on its own and I really thing the "Sleepers" storyline will be entertaining.

I say to everyone check it out

Just read it today Johnnyhorror and I agree. The story was very well written and the art was solid. I'll be sticking with it in the meantime as the premise it sets up looks intriguing.

I actually like the Flamebird & Nightwing story. I thought it was pretty clever of them to disguise their true nature by wearing fake power armor and using grappling hooks to swing around. They totally pwned that sleeper agent thanks to this deception. We rarely see this kind of guile coming from superheroes these days.

If the books are good then they'll work, if they're not well written then they won't work.

I agree. Even though Supes isn't in the books, the books are still about Supes. Plus, a good story is a good story and we all know Rucka and Robinson know how to write good stories. I for one am very excited.

I kind of like the Silver Age superman...when its well done like Alan Moores "Whatever happened to the man of tomorrow" or Morissons All-Star Superman or Geoff Johns recent run.

without the big 3 after infinite crisis now they are doing it again doesnt seem that long ago to me. are there any burning questions you want answerd in terms of what would everyone do if supes, bats, and ww weren't around?

I think the answer is "go on as normal". The world isn't dependent on the Big Three; superheroes typically have to rely on their own resources.
