@wabitgirl Tech skill is pressing "L" "R" or "Z" 20-40 frames before hitting the ground after being attacked. i.e. if you get hit into the air and you're in fall mode, press "L" in any direction to tech. another good technique is L canceling. This means pressing "L" "R" or "Z" right before hitting the ground after using an "Air" attack. It is most noticable in Dr. Mario's F-air. i.e jump once with Dr. Mario, use F-Air, and 20-40 frames before hitting the ground press L or R. Lag is canceled!
tech skill is just the term for knowing and being able to pull off advanced techniques with the characters (things like shffling, l-cancelling, techning etc).
Teching is that what 'hyperhavoc' posted as a reply to your comment; pressing L or R once you're stunned from an attack moments before you hit the ground; it makes you immediately recover.

If you're too aggressive with fox, there's a good chance you'll get grabbed. do you know what a grab means with puff? a rest, or 2 bairs if you're a robot. Fox wins the puff matchup by a large margin.
@MeercatMonstro Marth has nowhere near twice the range puff has. if anything, puff has more range, because her horizontal momentum just makes her aerials amazing. Her bair is definitely one of the most disjointed attacks in the game. You're supposed to camp puff. I think you're confused about how good fox is against puff. Mango makes it look like it's in puff's favor, but fox is seriously better. She dies at like 60% from usmash.
Corneria, Pokefloats, Kong Jungle 64 (you can circle camp her), YS, PS (all of the transformations blow for Jiggs), the list of bad stages is endless.
Also, there is no risk for a Fox to shine someone, and that kills at 4%. Shine has, I believe, 4 frame before it can be jump canceled. Rest has 120 frames.

If you're too aggressive with fox, there's a good chance you'll get grabbed. do you know what a grab means with puff? a rest, or 2 bairs if you're a robot. Fox wins the puff matchup by a large margin.

Her bair is definitely one of the most disjointed attacks in the game. You're supposed to camp puff. I think you're confused about how good fox is against puff. Mango makes it look like it's in puff's favor, but fox is seriously better. She dies at like 60% from usmash.

Corneria, Pokefloats, Kong Jungle 64 (you can circle camp her), YS, PS (all of the transformations blow for Jiggs), the list of bad stages is endless.
Also, there is no risk for a Fox to shine someone, and that kills at 4%. Shine has, I believe, 4 frame before it can be jump canceled. Rest has 120 frames.
