I'm so sick of these "what if" arguments. That's all the gun haters have...all the facts point to more guns in the people's hands equal less violence (ironic but true). It's something like 2 million incidences are stopped BECAUSE of people having guns (per year) and about 50-100 unfortunate accidents relating to kids with guns. But guess what? 15,000,000 (15 million) children die of HUNGER in the world every year. Damn, America is one shitty place to live...we're so spoiled is sick.
What the fuck is wrong with the blonde lady against guns? What if a 13 year old steals he gun? What kind of ridiculous argument is that? A concealed carry permit stipulates that a gun is worn on the person. I think a student would have a tough time taking the gun literally off the teacher.
My personal belief is that all men should have the self-discipline and control of his emotions to gracefully and tactfully walk away and leave alone a woman whom he once used to fuck but doesn't want to see him any more. After all, there are plenty of fish in the sea, many who just want to get fucked. If some chick wants to stop seeing you...WHAT IS THE FUCKING POINT IN STALKING HER??!! Do these assholes really believe that will somehow win her back.? There is ton of pussy out there...move on!!
President Obama called Wall Street bankers “fat cats” and says he's a "warrior" for the middle class. The numbers show who he's really fighting for. Under Obama, Wall Street has generated over $85 billion in profits in 2.5 years. Under Bush, they generated $77 billion for the entire 8 years he was in office. Obama has also received more 2012 campaign donations from the “fat cats” than all GOP candidates combined. "LIKE" if you think Obama is a "fat cat" in disguise, not a warrior for the middle
i literally have to come myself down for a minute whenever i hear someone made a stupid argument like this. "what if a kid takes it"? what about decades ago when every kid used to come with a rifle to school every day. did the school buses turn into ww3? no. we gotta stop this stupidity with keeping guns away from kids, it doesnt serve the public. it doesnt serve the defensless victims, and it is absolutely against human rights.
i cant say my gun hasnt killed anyone cause its a 1928 mosin nagant and probaly saw ww2 but as for me using it to kill someone no it hasnt killed anyone lol
I feel safe knowing my fellow citizens are armed anywhere I go! I especially like it when people open carry and think more should exercise their right to do so. Not once have I ever been approached by a criminal when I open carry. But I have been stopped by police for exercising that right granted to me under the constitution. If you're a cop, remember the oath you took. It wasn't to the government, it was to the constitution and GOD. Thankyou for the work you do!
I am an absolute constitutionalist.If some people in this country don't like or fear firearms they should endeavor to lose their fear and ignorance,or else line up for the executioner.
It seems that after Katrina in New Orleans, that the gun confiscation situation mainly happened in white neighborhoods. I myself have never seen any video of cops in black neighborhoods getting guns. Has anyone seen any video on this? I smell a rat here.I think Katrina in 2005 is an example if it happens again. That they are going into white neighborhoods first&formost to confiscate guns Does anyone else agree?
You can really tell which one is the true blonde and which one is the "undercover" dyed blonde.....
Lis Wheil is an idiot and she even outlined the exact reason that "security guards" at schools can't protect anyone, just like cops, they're not always there when the shit hits the fan.
The teacher with the CCW permit should have just went ahead and carried her gun without saying anything, and if she ever needed to use it on her Ex and got fired for it, sue the shit out of the school.
She has the right to defend herself and in this case especially she should have the ability to defend herself in the event her husband does show up one day to slit her throat or do something dangerous. What are you going to say to her family if she gets murdered at work or in the parking lot when you advocated for her defenselessness? What are you going to say to the families of the school children that could possibly get killed if the husband goes on a rampage? No what ifs for me. Defense.
People who are against gun control just don't get it. It works, overwhelming evidence has proven that. Millions are saved every year by gun control. The safety of humanity is far more important than owning a few toys.
No...millions every year are threatened by gun control. You do realize that the government estimates that some 70 million crimes are prevented every year due to people being capable of defending themselves with firearms?
Criminals don't buy guns from stores- they get them on the street. Many have admitted they're most afraid of an armed citizen. Go look up some interviews if you're in denial
@mkcsu27 An interesting thing to say considering it is official that 73% of all guns used in gun crime in the U.S. are LEGALLY OBTAINED. I must say I am not that surprised to see you made up that statistic on the spot. 70 million my ass. As I said, overwhelming evidence supports the fact that gun control reduces crime. Must I really name a handful of the many sources? Feel free to give me the go ahead if your in denial.
as for my "toys", my AR-15 is a sporting and self defense weapon, my M1A is a sporting and self defense weapon, my M1903 is a 92 year old relic, and my M1903A3 is of WWII vintage. How many people have these hurt or threatened? I have a right to defend myself. Its time to educate people about guns and not just tell them they're evil. If you're not comfortable with it, move out of this country.
@mkcsu27 You just said they were WWII relics. If that is true than they certainly have been used to kill or at least attempt to kill. You use your sporting gun for recreation, right? That makes it a toy to you. I'll never understand how someone can possibly think owning a killing machine is fun. Times are changing, people are paying more attention to the problems with the world. Gun control is the future, and if your not comfortable with that, get out of this country.
@devildog3406 When one takes a look at acutal statistics, it clearly shows crime goes down with gun control and good law enforcement. Gun lovers like to twist the truth and say gun control causes high crime rates, but that is because of poor law enforcement. I mean, look at Mexico. Poor law enforcement, gun control, high crime rates. England, good law enforcement, gun control lesser crime rates. The facts do not lie.
Oh come on. She is a freaking teacher at a freaking school. There aren't suppose to be guns at school, and it is stupid that people are saying that there should be. Besides, if the husband really wants to kill her all he has to do is run her of the road, or get a gun and shoot her. But the plain fact is, GUNS DON'T BELONG AT SCHOOL! I like guns, but it is a freaking school.
@specialfx34 I would rather be the victim of experiencing too much freedom than not enough and be a victim of a violent crime because I could defend myself. Those who have no guns are slaves to the ones who do.
let me get this straight,this Teacher who is theaten by her ex husband ,who is out to kill her,should rely on some School Security Agency to protect her? instead of protecting herself with a firearm,i wonder who will be there first when the ex husband strikes again,the School Security or herself? btw wasnt it some guys from a School Security that did stand by and watched a student getting beaten up by some other students? iam sure they would "help" the Teacher right away for sure as well
I'll bet Lis Wiehl would change her mind if she were in the same situation as that teacher! liberals are great at telling other people what they can and cant do till their rights are being infringed on.
Lis Wiehl is an attorney and her mentality shows she is a control freak. She's used to having the power inside the courts and thinks the real world works the same. Wake up Lis Wiehl there isn't a court bailiff everywhere to protect you and a dictator like judge to keep order. Her absolute distrust in the common man is quite revealing. She assumes Mr Shirley Katz is incapable of fighting for herself even when she is qualified to carry concealed.
30,000 killed by guns each year, WOW, Osama bin laden would have been better off opening a chain of gun shops across the US,, mmmmmmmm I wonder how many al quida opp,s are opening gun stores right now, oh ,, NRA save me from al quada ,, lol lol lol NRA= OSAMA BIN LADEN both kill americans
@invaliduser1000 Actually places with the least gun laws have the lowest crime rates in the US.That's a fact. Anyone who opens a gun shop makes us safer.
@invaliduser1000 guns are also used for self defense about 700,000 times a year. also, a child is 10 times more likely to die from a swimming pool accident than die from a firearm. a person is 2 times more likely to die from poison than from a firearm. a person is 15 times more likely to die in a motor vehicle than die from a firearm. childen are 3 times more likely to die from obesity than to die from a firearm. do you see a trend here?
Most schools have one sro officer That does nothing It take 5 minutes to stop a fight in that amount of time someone could kill a large amount of unarmed students and citizens
Funny they're okay with a county employee walking around the school daily open carrying a gun but not with a teacher discreetly concealing one WHO ACTUALLY NEEDS IT NOBODY SEEMS TO CARE WHAT "INFRINGE" MEANS. Our constitution and bill of rights is being used like toilet paper by our socialist government.
Jeff Coopers Rule #4 is gun safety rules is "Be sure of your target and what is beyond it." Shooting a gun in a school full of kids takes mil-spec gun training! If you pull the gun out and shoot someone the bullet may travel though the target and hit someone behind it. As a gun nut I think it's best to leave the gun away from the school.
@IMFDB You are looking at a possible single incident of a child caught in the fight and being injured. That would be tragic but what if schools were no longer viewed by killers as an easy place to kill lots of people? 1 or 2 are accidently killed or injured but 20 are saved by the shooting that never happens. That sounds cruel but we have to look at the big picture. School shootings were not a problem before the gun free zone thing started and thats when index crime was notably higher overall
@IMFDB Buddy, if you shoot someone and the bullet travels through the density of the human body, exits, and maintains the velocity to penetrate another one behind it, then you probably aren't just using a standard .44 or 9mm. I'll leave you with a question that has an obvious answer: Do you know why most civilian mass shootings happen in gun restricted areas? Here's a hint at the answer: Its the same reason they don't happen and shooting ranges.
How about a compromise ? She can have a gun,but she has to go to the main office at the end of the day,where teachers can keep personal items in a small secured locker of their own and take her gun home with her.This way there is no chance of a child discovering it in her purse.(There is very little chance that could happen,but it's not impossible either.)
It's time we did the sensible, decent thing and enforced meaningful background checks and banned high capacity clips. Neither action should be viewed as threat to 2nd amendment rights. Please check out my video..."culture of violence."
I share your concern in wanting to keep dangerous weapons away from nut cases. But if criminals don't obey the laws against robery, rape, murder, and arson; why would they obey your gun laws?
@superbigpuppy Yes. Go ahead and make em illegal already so I don't have to go out of my way to register em anymore. Any further gun legislation is automatically ignored by myself and most people I know. It's all bullshit.
Right! I don't need a document, law, or Washington bureaucrat, to dictate to me if how or where I can defend my life. It's simply not up to them. Period!
Really? Some of you are actually NOT taking O'Reilly's point of view because you just simply hate him? REALLY? How many times do hear of a middle aged school teacher going on a shooting spree in a school? How many times do you hear of 13 year olds wrestling a firearm away from a woman so they can kill people with it? Some of you are the stupidest fucking morons ever to contaminate our planet.
this dude is a jackass....i mean really, we have armed police officers patrolling schools these days. what the hell is a stalker going to try when he sees popo call for backup with his stun gun pointed at this guy with a knife. i love guns i own 5, but there are just certain places you can not take these things even with a permit. this guy is just an old bigoted retard, and i pray for the day he comes to my house so that i can punch his face in.
These gun control arguements that some 13 yr old will get the gun are BS, based on ASSUMPTION that EVERYONE who carries is STUPID, simply because there have been stupid people who carried. There have been a LOT MORE drunk drivers than irrisponsible gun owners, but do we ASSUME that EVERY DRIVER is going to drive drunk?! No! Get the fuck off it already and stop trying to walk all over our rights!! All gun control advocates should have to face an armed criminal in a dark parking lot by themselves!
See she answers his question and he talks over her. Whenever someone gives a sensible answer that he cant pick apart he talks over them. Every fn time. How can people even defend oreilly? Are they as stupid as he is?
@six80ususus your right he waits for their mike do be cut off before he calls them a moron... i didnt see him yell here... im not going to supply you with a link your search bar is just as close as mine.
@CWScott24 You didn't see him yell here eh. Well you know exactly his interview style as well as everyone else does. I know you have seen the way he treats his guests like crap. I never said I like Olbeirman anyway I said I never saw him treat his guest in that manner. If he does the same he is just as stupid as Oreilly is. Not proffessional at all.
@six80ususus o'reilly is a complete jackass and bought off shill for the right side of the FLRP.. but gun control is bad, in fact i would deem gun control as downright stupid since individual gun ownership is the single biggest deterrent to crime, and quite frankly, if you have a CCW, carry everywhere, without exception..
You have before you a serious topic and yet catagorise gun related deaths as frivilous happenstance,more people die in traffic accidents so playing with an Aligator is fine ...rhetotic.Your argument is nonsensical
You try to make an argument for guns by saying you feel safer and crims are detered as a result...yet fail to realise you have one of the highest per capita gunrelated deaths on the planet..you cannot correlate the two.
@TheBoberton No they will be exactly the same.Clearly your wacky philosophy is whats leading you astray. Do you think rapists carry metal detectors ? and that they are just waiting for a gun law so they can go on the rampage. spot the odd one out Gun related deaths children under 10 , 2005 Japan = 0 England=19 France =120 Germany =127 cANADA 179 US = 5,600 AND YOU THINK IT'S SAFER TO HAVE A GUN CULTURE. 2005 YOUR GUN RELATED DEATHS ALMOST SURPASSED TAFFIC ACCIDENTS
In nations that ban firearms you'd expect rapists to be on every street corner.
Give up this insanity ...the US may have a gun culture but stop this nonsense excuse that living your life would be worse without it...it's simply not true.And the facts support you are a whole lot worse off with it !
@TheBoberton "funny gun related deaths would naturally go down with no guns,only a moron wouldn't see that"
Yet.. you are having a hard time in accepting it...
Not funny really Bob especially how your so against that happening.You have at all times been quite clear in that the 5,000 + deaths of children each year in US are acceptable price to pay..so long as you can keep the gun and the 2nd (applied to agrarian society totally unrecognisable to modern day america)
Just remember, of the 5,000+ deaths, only around 2-300 are accidents. Keep that in mind when I state that with more guns, the number of homicides would go down because people would be able to protect their children, at least when they are home (Can't protect your child when they are at school, and you are at work).
If guns kill people, then so do bombs. If guns kill people, then we cannot blame the terrorists for killing Americans, but we must blame the bombs for it.
Do you agree with that?
Because I don't. But if guns make people kill others, then so do bombs.
KNOWING ..People stab eachother and hit eachother with sticks on a daily basis my friend.
It's commonsense that putting Guns in the hands of the public make it more likely that you are going to have problems with them shooting eachother dead....fully supported by FACT....look around you.
It isn't that difficult a concept to rationalize.
ure problem is living with a gun culture..its systemic
lool Bob...I don't think for the last several millenia that acess to bits of timber (in abundance) has seen an increase in homicides.
More cars = more accidents and theft sure..but the premise is the car is for travelling in.
What are guns designed to do Bob ?
We know what bombs do...would you recommend they be distributed amongst the public for DEFENCE..I mean ure not gonna fuk with someone with a bomb are you?
@TheBoberton Not if the other guy is driving a tank Bob.
You know Bob statistically if you have a gun in your house...your are 99% more likely to have a family member /neighbour shot dead ...than use it on a possible assailant gaining entry.
This is fact Bob and one which results in the annual deaths of thousands of American citizens...no crims hanging outside car windows like the 20's...your population is killing each other...gun is hardly defending you is it ? think...
@TheBoberton You practice safe ownership in a poorly regulated and practically zero legislation do you..tell me what rigorous psychological assesment did you have to endure,what aptitude requirments did you have to undergo ?
Did your neighbour..the guy down the street ?
Or do you mean you don't consider your personality to be as flawed as the next guy able to walk into any gun shop and select their favourite Shotgun.
Isn't it the truth if you are over 21 and dont look dodgey its ok
@TheBoberton Hopefully you can see how flawed self assesment is Bob...you may think you are okay but doesn't everybody.
Did you know for a UK police to carry a firearm they undergo strict and lengthy training and psychological assessment BOB.
That just to allow someone over 21 with no crim record..and that he just looks okay and not the sterotypical madman is hardly a safe and logical requirement for selling a deadly weapon to.
@TheBoberton Unfortunately I have a hard time believeing you are that much in control of yourself at all times...secondly going by the stats available it is quite apparent that is not what 99.999% of gunowners do.
"Many US chose b&c Bob....in the UK it's always A !! "
That too is silly. The only reason myself and any responsible gun owner would draw our weapons is if someone else brought deadly force into a situation.
If a guy tries to get into a fist fight with me, I will either walk away or engage his with the same technique.
If a guy pulled a knife, I would tell him that I am armed.
If he pulled a gun/charged me with the knife, I would draw my weapon and use any necessary force.
@TheBoberton No my friend walking away and ignoring it is what the vast majority of sensible people do.
Some big dude all angry wants to smash your face in tells you his gonna do it...and you wouldn't draw your weapon instead takethe beating..you know thats BS.
What qualify's you in making such a life deciding action? a master in psychology,special forces training perhaps ?
Reality is your just a Joe...if you feel threatened your gonna go for that gun..it's just a matter of time..tic tic
2. Actually, I wouldn't draw my weapon if I was threatened by him because of the legal action he could put against me (And only an insane person would threaten a 6Ft 4In man)
3. What qualifies me to make a decision as to when to draw my weapon? Simply this:
Common sense.
4. Actually, unlike you I do not need to hide behind a weapon. My gun is merely an equalizer.
@TheBoberton No..they are safer for the pedestrian though Bob...
If you cannot even comprehend the meanings of simple conversation ..im flabbergasted that you think you are reasonably well adjusted individual to be in charge of a gun.
You don't even understand the basics bob....
* enters a convenience store for tins of beer ,shopkeeper trys to take the 10 bucks, "let him have it Bob" *
....I fully expect you to unload on him rather than pay him like i mean't.
Are you on smack ? do you think the POLICE & GOVERN are your enemy you complete jerk !
You give government a mandate by your vote.
We are Policed by consent, they are not THE POLICE a seperate entity from the public,they are simply members of the public who are responsible for law and order full time.If the public dont want the laws (say shoplifting) then the Police can do nothing ,we make law not them !!
The moment you find a police force that can protect me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and still find time to protect me from a potentially tyrannical government (The reason for the second amendment: To protect the First) then I will bow down to you and name you king of all things, and I will even give you my guns.
But to have that, police would have to outnumber civilians.
@TheBoberton By your logic...if being allowed to own a deadly firearm deters crime and as you say crime in your area has dissapeared.Then logically one would assume as a result America should be the safest place on the planet...yet ironically its one of the worst.
Your gun related crime rate is second to the likes of South africa and some south american hotspots.
yet in nations that ban the ownership of guns to the general populus...they have the lowest !
Did you know that in the US, we have very strict laws.
In D.C. you could not own a pistol until 2007.
In some states, you cannot own hollow-point rounds.
In some of the same states, magazines that hold more than a set amount of rounds are illegal.
What is needed is a lack of firearms legislation and a firm government. What you forget to mention is that in those nations, it is ANARCHY, no laws, no government, no control.
@TheBoberton Lol strict laws..yes cos i just want a neat hole in my head rather than have my brains blown out the back.You only have 8 rounds in the mag cos 32 would be overkill.
You get it..those nations are pretty lawless yet have lower gun related crime than USA..strict laws and democracy you say ..doesn't appear to be working does it ?
Or did you mean those with gun bans are anarchist like sweden loool
So please, take your insults, myths, and propaganda elsewhere.
You have not provided any statistics in this debate, yet I have.
You continue to argue that guns are the root of all evil, yet crime, suicides, and accidents existed before them, and they will continue to exist in the time of whatever weapon we come up with next.
The only excuse i hear from yanks...is we need a gun for protection from bad guys...well unwittingly you actually create the bad guy..because the bad guy is you.And every other Joe that pulls the trigger.
Fact..hardcore lifetime crims don't shoot people or very few..thats why we label em lifetime.
No..the bad guy is the normal Joe you've placed a gun in his hand...and you all use it on eachother.
"lifetime crims don't shoot people or very few..thats why we label em lifetime."
Really? I would have thought that the reason to label them so is because they have been committing crimes their entire adult (and occasionally teen) life?
Another thing:
Did you know that gang related shootings are generally part of a crime? (e.g. mugging, drug related crimes, gang wars, etc.) So you just contradicted your own argument.
@TheBoberton Perhaps you should do some research..
Petty crime and armed robberies have the lowest instances of gun discharge..probably cos they do it regular and the threat is enough.Police have the lowest instances and low and behold sitting on top is civilians ,homicide /accident.....over petty squabbles with neighbours and strangers at the mall.
US averages 50,000 gun deaths a year,unless you believe you have 50k crims running around like the Wild west avin shoot em ups..you are wrong
Its actually 39k..but you regurgitate 11k likes its nothing to be concerned about.
The Wild West was actually peacefull(in comparison to modern USA) because people were NOT armed..good God do you derive all your history from hollywood.
Most criminals were HUNG..the famous ones were thus because they evaded capture.
One final comment Mixwell...you mention mentality.
I'm sure you won't disagree that the average Joe is very irrational ,we argue over the trivial.Some are below av intelligence,some with minor disordered personalities,many have anger issues.This is the norm in society..our courts are full of em daily !
Totally untrained , lacking aptitude & responsibility..any Joe can go buy a gun and arm themselves for defence.
I sure wish you'd identify the problem ..it's not that difficult
And you wish to take away their God-given right to defend themselves. Why do you feel that the average person should not be able to defend themselves? Is it because of the chance that they might shoot someone? Is it because they might get into an accident with it? (These could apply with any item on Earth)
@TheBoberton That's right ..bring the supernatural fantasy into it.
Your problem is you trivialize the gun ..but in answer I'd like to say you have no RIGHT to walk the streets or twiddle a loaded gun around in your kitchen.The fact your nation suffers horrendously as a result seems completely alien concept to you.
ordinary folk DO shoot people..they DO have accidents and blow their kids brains out.Put it this way civilians shoot people dead more than the Police..have a clue before you speak
4. The number of children killed by firearms in 2006 was 3,184. Now I will remove the homicides and suicides, as you merely want accidents: 196 died in accidents
Now, 300 children (0-5, no higher) drown each year.
Notice that the firearm deaths include teenagers and possibly those aged above 18, but below 20.
Mixwell due to the cease of IRA ...lots of guns are in circulation in the UK.Mainly into teenagers hands.
The result has been a rising increase in gun related deaths amongst our youth year after year.
Stores,jewellers,banks robberies are lower now than the 80's..yet armed criminals have always been so.
You have to correlate the problem my friend...more guns = more civilians shoot each other dead.Think about it before the increase in availability we didn't have these problems !
Problem with America is thus...it is irrisponsible as a nation.
There is a very logical reason why you don't allow your citizenship running around armed.One which despite happening on a daily basis you seem oblivious too.
I will answer the donks who insult UK crime...they are right but fail to appreciate the problem haha.
With access to guns..gun crime/deaths in the UK is growing exponantially and is only going to get worse .....
@philbo1965uk - Of course when a criminal has the most advantageous tool it will result in more (insert tool) related deaths.. If guns disappeared in the UK all together im sure the knife related, baseball bat, (insert next advantageous tool) death will be growing. Identify the problem yet ? It's not the tool but the mentality behind the person using that tool... So if in 100 years lazer beams came out youll say the same thing because they'll commit more crimes than guns since they're stronger
@philbo1965uk - continued.... I don't know what's soo hard to grasp.. It's human instinct to use a tool to our advantage right ? So for criminals it (currently) happens to be a firearm.. Why do you think slingshots, bow and arrows were created ? To give an advantage, the same as a firearm. I'm not arguing that a guns intention isn't to destroy it's target because it is and why it fits into the criminal mindset but basic human instinct and criminals cause the stats not the tool itself..
of the 10's of thousands of gun related homicides in the USA are not the result of criminal activity ie Robbers.
They are youth gang related and vast majority mainly common folk..don't you even read ?
people are shooting eachother over trivial every day matters like arguments..Husband shoots wife for adultry,kid shoots mum for turning xbox off..these are the norm!
Just to answer the dimwitted host of the show....the woman has a restraining order on her husband for domestic violence.As do tens of thousands of other people
That doesn't therefore imply that you should arm either spouse...as you probably can guess at the outcome.
A tiny fraction of society are evil enough to kill or inflict serious harm on a spouse or anyone....yet with your mentality you'd have them all armed.
Yep your government..those people you give a mandate to represent you are out to control you..Palin is the lizard leader of the NWO....and 9/11 was an inside job.

Defense.

As I said, overwhelming evidence supports the fact that gun control reduces crime. as for my "toys", my AR-15 is a sporting and self defense weapon, my M1A is a sporting and self defense weapon, my M1903 is a 92 year old relic, and my M1903A3 is of WWII vintage. How many people have these hurt or threatened? I have a right to defend myself. Its time to educate people about guns and not just tell them they're evil. If you're not comfortable with it, move out of this country.
mkcsu27 4 months ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@mkcsu27 You just said they were WWII relics.
Ultimaton100 4 months ago
@devildog3406 When one takes a look at acutal statistics, it clearly shows crime goes down with gun control and good law enforcement. Gun lovers like to twist the truth and say gun control causes high crime rates, but that is because of poor law enforcement. I mean, look at Mexico. Poor law enforcement, gun control, high crime rates. England, good law enforcement, gun control lesser crime rates. The facts do not lie.

mrsparex 10 months ago
Jeff Coopers Rule #4 is gun safety rules is "Be sure of your target and what is beyond it." Shooting a gun in a school full of kids takes mil-spec gun training! If you pull the gun out and shoot someone the bullet may travel though the target and hit someone behind it. As a gun nut I think it's best to leave the gun away from the school.
IMFDB 10 months ago
@IMFDB You are looking at a possible single incident of a child caught in the fight and being injured. That would be tragic but what if schools were no longer viewed by killers as an easy place to kill lots of people? 1 or 2 are accidently killed or injured but 20 are saved by the shooting that never happens. That sounds cruel but we have to look at the big picture. School shootings were not a problem before the gun free zone thing started and thats when index crime was notably higher overall
shananagans5 9 months ago
@IMFDB Buddy, if you shoot someone and the bullet travels through the density of the human body, exits, and maintains the velocity to penetrate another one behind it, then you probably aren't just using a standard .44 or 9mm. I'll leave you with a question that has an obvious answer: Do you know why most civilian mass shootings happen in gun restricted areas? Here's a hint at the answer: Its the same reason they don't happen and shooting ranges.

Question...if all guns were made illegal
1) would you expect gun related crime to rise or fall ?
2)knife and blunt weapon assaults rise ,stay the same or fall ?
3) Homicide in general to increase or fall ?
Answer honestly and logically and hopefully you'll arrive at the correct solution to the gun debate
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
(Cont)
5. To your question, I will answer with this:
1) Gun related violence would go down, but not violence in general
2) This would go up
3) It would remain the same
4) Rape rates would go up though. As well as muggings.
(Side note:
Notice his excessive use of insults, almost as if he has something to prove by continually calling me stupid.)

@TheBoberton ..your ignorance is astounding.
You have before you a serious topic and yet catagorise gun related deaths as frivilous happenstance,more people die in traffic accidents so playing with an Aligator is fine ...rhetotic.Your argument is nonsensical
You try to make an argument for guns by saying you feel safer and crims are detered as a result...yet fail to realise you have one of the highest per capita gunrelated deaths on the planet..you cannot correlate the two.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
You know what made up 55% of the gun deaths in 2005? Suicides.
Are you trying to say that because someone decides to kill themselves I deserve to be deprived of my right to defend myself?
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Thats as silly as saying because people jump in fornt of trains we should all walk...it trivializes a serious issue.
Of course everyone has a right to defend themlves that isn't the issue..its your mentality that prevents you from seeing the UNDERLINING problem.

If guns are outlawed are you expecting the streets to overflow with badguys and explosion of crims shooting people dead in the street ?
or lower crime rates ?

Funny, because gun related deaths would naturally go down with no guns. Only a moron wouldn't see that.
But as I said, the same would apply to cars, and planes and knives.
Crime is caused by poverty, homelessness, and a lack of jobs.
And no, rapists don't "carry metal detectors", it is there mentality that changes when guns are gone:
Their thoughts with guns being legal: That woman might be armed.
When guns are illegal: Oh hey, she's pretty. I think I will look for her later.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton OMG...retarded logic again Bob..
In nations that ban firearms you'd expect rapists to be on every street corner.
Give up this insanity ...the US may have a gun culture but stop this nonsense excuse that living your life would be worse without it...it's simply not true.And the facts support you are a whole lot worse off with it !
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
Really? The facts prove it?
Hmm, then why did rape, car theft, and burglary go UP after guns were banned?

But the reason cannot be firearms, because the US has a lower rate in all of those crimes than the nations without them.

@TheBoberton "funny gun related deaths would naturally go down with no guns,only a moron wouldn't see that"
Yet.. you are having a hard time in accepting it...
Not funny really Bob especially how your so against that happening.You have at all times been quite clear in that the 5,000 + deaths of children each year in US are acceptable price to pay..so long as you can keep the gun and the 2nd (applied to agrarian society totally unrecognisable to modern day america)
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
Just remember, of the 5,000+ deaths, only around 2-300 are accidents. Keep that in mind when I state that with more guns, the number of homicides would go down because people would be able to protect their children, at least when they are home (Can't protect your child when they are at school, and you are at work).
TheBoberton 1 year ago

TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton
Think about your own statement logically...
KNOWING ..People stab eachother and hit eachother with sticks on a daily basis my friend.
It's commonsense that putting Guns in the hands of the public make it more likely that you are going to have problems with them shooting eachother dead....fully supported by FACT....look around you.
It isn't that difficult a concept to rationalize.
ure problem is living with a gun culture..its systemic
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
Ah, but now you have hit a problem.
Yes, more guns lead to more gun crimes.
But, as I have said many times, more cars lead to more car related crimes and deaths.
More sticks lead to more stick related crimes and deaths.
It goes on and on.
More guns also lead to more of a deterrent against gun crime, because guns have something that cars don't have.
They can be used in self defense.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton
lool Bob...I don't think for the last several millenia that acess to bits of timber (in abundance) has seen an increase in homicides.
More cars = more accidents and theft sure..but the premise is the car is for travelling in.
What are guns designed to do Bob ?
We know what bombs do...would you recommend they be distributed amongst the public for DEFENCE..I mean ure not gonna fuk with someone with a bomb are you?
US muslims would be no doubt ...happy
philbo1965uk 1 year ago

Guns allow you to defend yourself.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Not if the other guy is driving a tank Bob.
You know Bob statistically if you have a gun in your house...your are 99% more likely to have a family member /neighbour shot dead ...than use it on a possible assailant gaining entry.
This is fact Bob and one which results in the annual deaths of thousands of American citizens...no crims hanging outside car windows like the 20's...your population is killing each other...gun is hardly defending you is it ? think...
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@TheBoberton No the premise is that more guns equal more deaths amongst the populus.
The misconception is that a gun offers you a means of defence and is a deterrent...on the premise your attacker does not have one.

@TheBoberton Unfortunately I have a hard time believeing you are that much in control of yourself at all times...secondly going by the stats available it is quite apparent that is not what 99.999% of gunowners do.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton No my friend walking away and ignoring it is what the vast majority of sensible people do.
Some big dude all angry wants to smash your face in tells you his gonna do it...and you wouldn't draw your weapon instead takethe beating..you know thats BS.
What qualify's you in making such a life deciding action? a master in psychology,special forces training perhaps ?
Reality is your just a Joe...if you feel threatened your gonna go for that gun..it's just a matter of time..tic tic
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
1. Most gun owners ARE sensible people.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Just to add to that last post Bob.
You do realise that the addition of more and more cars is actually safer for the general public.
have you never driven in the city ? 15kph gridlock.
or perhaps you live out in the sticks with pa...and go coon shootin
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
So you think traffic jams are good?
You aren't quite as "right in the head" as I thought you were, and it was bad to begin with.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton No..they are safer for the pedestrian though Bob...
If you cannot even comprehend the meanings of simple conversation ..im flabbergasted that you think you are reasonably well adjusted individual to be in charge of a gun.
You don't even understand the basics bob....
* enters a convenience store for tins of beer ,shopkeeper trys to take the 10 bucks, "let him have it Bob" *
....I fully expect you to unload on him rather than pay him like i mean't.
Traffic jams retard !
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
1. How would more cars be safer for pedestrians? Lack of explanation brings about lack of understanding.
2. More insults? You really should stop. My post proved that insults get us nowhere.
3. Me and every gun owner out there would pay the cashier.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
Did you know, that the police force does not have the duty to protect individuals?
Just a tidbit of information for you.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Oh you changed it to this...
The Police "My Gods " you say !!
Are you on smack ? do you think the POLICE & GOVERN are your enemy you complete jerk !
You give government a mandate by your vote.
We are Policed by consent, they are not THE POLICE a seperate entity from the public,they are simply members of the public who are responsible for law and order full time.If the public dont want the laws (say shoplifting) then the Police can do nothing ,we make law not them !!
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
See a pattern?
Hell, here's the car thefts by nations:
United States: 3.8795 per 1,000
Canada: 4.88547 per 1,000
Australia: 6.92354 per 1,000
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
Both Canada and Australia have put up legislation against firearms.

@TheBoberton And Lives will be saved because of good commonsense....I applaud them for it...well come to civilised society what took you so long.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton
Wait.. no I won't.
Because for a police force to be able to protect me all the time, they would have to infringe upon my rights and privacy.
I think I'll keep my guns and rights.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton By your logic...if being allowed to own a deadly firearm deters crime and as you say crime in your area has dissapeared.Then logically one would assume as a result America should be the safest place on the planet...yet ironically its one of the worst.
Your gun related crime rate is second to the likes of South africa and some south american hotspots.
yet in nations that ban the ownership of guns to the general populus...they have the lowest !
common sense you seem to lack
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Lol strict laws..yes cos i just want a neat hole in my head rather than have my brains blown out the back.You only have 8 rounds in the mag cos 32 would be overkill.
You get it..those nations are pretty lawless yet have lower gun related crime than USA..strict laws and democracy you say ..doesn't appear to be working does it ?
Or did you mean those with gun bans are anarchist like sweden loool
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
TheBoberton 1 year ago
The only excuse i hear from yanks...is we need a gun for protection from bad guys...well unwittingly you actually create the bad guy..because the bad guy is you.And every other Joe that pulls the trigger.
Fact..hardcore lifetime crims don't shoot people or very few..thats why we label em lifetime.
No..the bad guy is the normal Joe you've placed a gun in his hand...and you all use it on eachother.
Remove the gun and the streets will be safer.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Perhaps you should do some research..
Petty crime and armed robberies have the lowest instances of gun discharge..probably cos they do it regular and the threat is enough.Police have the lowest instances and low and behold sitting on top is civilians ,homicide /accident.....over petty squabbles with neighbours and strangers at the mall.
US averages 50,000 gun deaths a year,unless you believe you have 50k crims running around like the Wild west avin shoot em ups..you are wrong
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
1. Yeah, because they are pointing a gun at the person they are robbing, and in most cases the robbed has no gun.
2. Actually, the number of gun deaths in the US is around 11,000 each year.
3. The "Wild West" (A misnomer) was quite peaceful compared to today, because everyone was armed.
There's a reason most criminals were famous:
There were few of them.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Ure stupidity knows no bounds..
See above as to why they were few !
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
1. Really? 39 thousand? Did you know that 43,000 were killed in car accidents in 2005? Hmm, cars are more dangerous and cause more death than guns...
2. "were NOT armed.."
Actually, a majority of the people were indeed armed.
3. Sure, our police force save a few people. But the mere presence of a gun saves thousands more.

TheBoberton 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
You are the one that needs to do more research.
For example, look into how many times gun save lives DAILY.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Absolutely ...your policeforce saves many.
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to respect your dimwitted opinions.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
One final comment Mixwell...you mention mentality.
I'm sure you won't disagree that the average Joe is very irrational ,we argue over the trivial.Some are below av intelligence,some with minor disordered personalities,many have anger issues.This is the norm in society..our courts are full of em daily !
Totally untrained , lacking aptitude & responsibility..any Joe can go buy a gun and arm themselves for defence.
I sure wish you'd identify the problem ..it's not that difficult
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
"arm themselves for defence"
And you wish to take away their God-given right to defend themselves. Why do you feel that the average person should not be able to defend themselves? Is it because of the chance that they might shoot someone? Is it because they might get into an accident with it? (These could apply with any item on Earth)
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton That's right ..bring the supernatural fantasy into it.
Your problem is you trivialize the gun ..but in answer I'd like to say you have no RIGHT to walk the streets or twiddle a loaded gun around in your kitchen.The fact your nation suffers horrendously as a result seems completely alien concept to you.
ordinary folk DO shoot people..they DO have accidents and blow their kids brains out.Put it this way civilians shoot people dead more than the Police..have a clue before you speak
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
"they DO have accidents and blow their kids brains out"
More children drown in swimming pools than have their brains "blown out".
"civilians shoot people dead more than the Police"
Really? How could that be?! They only outnumber the police around 1000:1 don't they?! I am flabbergasted!
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
And to the "blow their kid's brains out"
Why would they be pointed a gun (Loaded or unloaded) at their children?
Most cases where children are killed in accidents are because of a lack of education from the parents on firearm safety.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@TheBoberton Priceless...a nice bit of BS to end the conversation on.
Your statement demonstrates what a retard stereotypical yankee you are.What a ridiculus thing to say.
I'll leave it to someone who can be bothered to explain it to you...your too stupid to continue.
We're done
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
(Cont)

You have to correlate the problem my friend...more guns = more civilians shoot each other dead.Think about it before the increase in availability we didn't have these problems !
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
Problem with America is thus...it is irrisponsible as a nation.
There is a very logical reason why you don't allow your citizenship running around armed.One which despite happening on a daily basis you seem oblivious too.
I will answer the donks who insult UK crime...they are right but fail to appreciate the problem haha.
With access to guns..gun crime/deaths in the UK is growing exponantially and is only going to get worse .....
Identify the problem yet?
Arrived at a solution !!!
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk - Of course when a criminal has the most advantageous tool it will result in more (insert tool) related deaths.. If guns disappeared in the UK all together im sure the knife related, baseball bat, (insert next advantageous tool) death will be growing. Identify the problem yet ? It's not the tool but the mentality behind the person using that tool... So if in 100 years lazer beams came out youll say the same thing because they'll commit more crimes than guns since they're stronger
mixwell1983 1 year ago
@mixwell1983 Erm...a major flaw in your thinking.
Knives and hammer tools have been around millenia m8 and yet it hasn't been a major problem.
You correctly identify mentality yet illogcally prescribe it to criminals.Go that step further and identify it as a social problem and your home.
The gun (and it isn't an opinion) turns ordinary people into killers,once you lose it and pull the trigger,it's game over.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk
"once you lose it and pull the trigger,it's game over."
That's why you teach people the consequences of pulling the trigger.
Would the same apply to cars? Because once you lose it and run your spouse over, the game is just as much over if you had shot them.
And knives too. People stab loved ones quite often. Once you lose it and swing the knife, it's game over.
The argument you just used can be applied to anything that has been used to kill in the past.
TheBoberton 1 year ago
@philbo1965uk - continued.... I don't know what's soo hard to grasp.. It's human instinct to use a tool to our advantage right ? So for criminals it (currently) happens to be a firearm.. Why do you think slingshots, bow and arrows were created ? To give an advantage, the same as a firearm. I'm not arguing that a guns intention isn't to destroy it's target because it is and why it fits into the criminal mindset but basic human instinct and criminals cause the stats not the tool itself..
mixwell1983 1 year ago
@mixwell1983 cont:
Domestic argument spuse killed,angry kid..shots classmates.
The facts are there for you to digest.
of the 10's of thousands of gun related homicides in the USA are not the result of criminal activity ie Robbers.
They are youth gang related and vast majority mainly common folk..don't you even read ?
people are shooting eachother over trivial every day matters like arguments..Husband shoots wife for adultry,kid shoots mum for turning xbox off..these are the norm!
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
Just to answer the dimwitted host of the show....the woman has a restraining order on her husband for domestic violence.As do tens of thousands of other people
That doesn't therefore imply that you should arm either spouse...as you probably can guess at the outcome.
A tiny fraction of society are evil enough to kill or inflict serious harm on a spouse or anyone....yet with your mentality you'd have them all armed.
philbo1965uk 1 year ago
