Geniuses and true vaudeville professionals at work. By the time this was filmed, they had done the "Baseball Routine" as they called it, so many times, that they could tailor it to fit any time sequence from 2 minutes to 10 minutes. Note in this version the extended sequence arguing over "who gets the money". Some versions spend a lot of time in the infield. The beauty is, although we've all seen this hundreds of time you often never saw the same routine twice, which kept it fresh.

Incredible team doing a hilarious bit. Priceless! You had to love Lou because he was funny, even just standing still and saying nothing. On the other hand, Bud was the perfect shill setting up the jokes and giving Lou full rein. Takes courage--and talent--to accept staying in Lou's shadow. Miss them both.
