I had the pleasure to meet Helio quite a few times over at the Gracie Academy, he was loverly, he was wise, pleasant and fair, he was strict but soft. I have been on the end of a good telling off by him due to me not knowing the etiquette of Jiu Jitsu at the time, the next day he came to me and asked me how I was and smiled and put his hand on my shoulder to reasure me.

Of all the Gracies I have met, imo Rorian is the most like him.

If I was to study BJJ, I would not study it under Royce and if I was to go for my black belt test and Royce was the only person available to test me, I would just walk out the door, because from what I've seen of him in the ring, his attitude goes against one of the reasons people are awarded black belts.

i guess you don't know how to read. brazilian jiu-jitsu is not judo, it is not jujutsu, it is very different and not what samurai's learned. samurais didn't play guard, they threw, pinned and immediately submitted or finished their opponents with a weapon. there was no guard passing skill, there was no guard. that is what brazilian jiu-jitsu is all about. stop being a moron
