  • FUCKIN' FLOYD RADFORD BITCHES !!!

  • Floyd would come into Orlando's Discount Music on Orange Ave. and play some blistering shit. We also use to go the the Orlando Youth Ceneter and see him play with his band " Tin House". This circa 1970 to 1973. And was it Radford or Rathford? He was a quiet guy but a cool guitarist.

  • @howlinwolf73, Floyd's credited as 'Radford" on Edgar's discs. :-)

  • Very nice soloing, some traces of Hendrix can be heard in it...

  • What a damn solid player.

  • un grand de la six cordes ,qui a marqué que j'aime !!!

  • One of the greatest guitar players of all time and the most underrated.

  • Ahhhh. Floyd Radford on second guitar from a band called Tin House.

  • @howlinwolf73 I remember F.Rathford...Saw him sit in with E.Winter's W.Trash in NYC. I think it was the Fillmore..

What i'm looking for are clips of J.Winter And on youtube but it's a difficult search because of that tricky search word "and"....

  • Makin it look easy.Love the cape!

  • Rock'N Roll!

  • JOHNNY UN GRAND VIRTUOSE DU ROCK !!

  • @Friulidani

    Ole..Monte

  • @shadowstrikz ??

  • Music is fantastic, Vioce is fantastic.......................But ffs ditch the sleeves mate.

Love the version of stones clasic

  • They don't make this kind of raw full throttle rock anymore

  • They all wished that they could play like Johnny Winter. Seen him twice in concert and left feeling that I got my money's worth. Both were epic performances. Seen his brother twice as well. Those were the days.

  • nice

  • Johnny gave Jumping Jack the spice that the rolling stones lacked in the song. One version is no better than the other just different.

  • Much better live than in the studio!

  • Mind effectively blown! Thank you Mr. Winters!!!!!!!

  • who can play like this nowdays?!?!.

  • always loved Johnny, especially when he spanks other players, like killing Keith Richards here

  • I was young and beatuful 1970th and johnny and his brother gave me much,Fíng good

  • beautiful, 99

  • wonderfull stuff

  • The story goes he was totally off his head minutes before this show went out, (it was live in those days). They managed to get him up and told him he was on............He played his set and then at the end and out of shot he collapsed back down in to a very deep sleep...he he, that's Rock and Roll for you!

  • Excellent upload! Congratulations

  • Best guitar players in the World~ Love it~ Rock on!

  • Reinhard Heidrich on giutar ;D

  • I am happy, and, no, after all ... Johnny Winter is good. The man of the next guitar plays the good guitar. However, after all a foreigner is good at a guitar; is a Japanese Johnny Winter enthusiast!

  • johnny winter is not only a gifted guitarist but a gift to the world of music. Mannnnnnn he smokes that guitar. And Flloyd Radford compliments the Winterization. Stones' tunes so applicable to hitting' the note!

    -johnnyguitar335

  • floyd was great too

  • :) son

  • Shit, why'd it have to end:(

  • Johnny's Live/Alive -- "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl" did it for me. When it comes to Texas snake-stretchers, Johnny is king tone (Roy Buchannon wasn't half-bad, either).

  • The PROBLEM is COMMUNICATION.

    and TIME delay.

    In NORWAY we

DID NOT KNOW this KIND OF MUSIC.

  • @fjelly0 UNTIL LATER.

    (WAAAAY later.)

  • good shit there man

  • Much more pleasing to my ears than the standard "shredders" of today.

  • @daven58100 hear ya loud and clear dude! If a dig that JW clip yawl might like our stuff on youtube too---- regards

    johnnyguitar335

  • The other guitarist is Floyd Radford who had just joined the band that year. He really made his presence felt on the "Captured Live" album in '76.

  • @clacksonracersyou're right man,you don't hear him so well here,but he's a great player too

  • Is that a young Ronnie Montrose backing Johnny up on guitar? I think Ronnie was on the Edgar winter live album with Bobby Womack ( you know they cover the old blues standard "tobbaco road" live on that wax vinal ). Derringer was backing Johnny up on the "and live" album with Caldwell and Hobbs on drums and bass. Have mercy Johnny sweats bad assed mojo. All us string strechers could learn a thing or two from the master of live guitar. Great vidi. Thanks for the sharing the post.

  • @GregoryAlice59

    I believe he's Floyd Radford.

  • Already feeling self-conscious about his Albinism, Johnny dressed unobtrusively in a skin tight midriff exposing top with 4 foot elbow flares.

  • Azum :-D

  • Kick ass rock and roll. They rocked out with their clocks out. Attention modern musicians: pull it out and play like you have a pair!

  • Best performance was 1972 Jonny Winter And LIVE ... is my oppinion !!

  • this is a garage-band nightmare

  • Come on, Richards will never come close to Winter.

  • incredible

  • I'm one of the biggest stones fans goin but even keith richard would be proud when johnny did a cover - he played awesome guitar

  • @keefym1 Plays. Johnny is still a great entertainer. I have seen him several times just recently. He has back problems and can no longer move around the stage but boy can he play.

  • Saw this group at Datona Beach-@ the Band Shell-on one of the occasions that we visited there during the marriage.

  • Why bother doing a cover of this?

  • @admanphoto Why bother doing a cover? Because it's a kick-ass rock and roll song, and it's perfect for jamming. In other words, tailor made for a guy like Johnny Winter.

  • Doesn't tan very well i'd bet...........

  • johnny winter i've been a fanatic for years he is the real deal

  • this definatly not a cover that 1 of the best johnny winter had any business doing he wasted his imennse talent doing this tune!! keith richards owen this song and nobody will ever come close to his perfectionism!! :)

  • Now this is rockin!

  • I saw Him Do this tour live Friggin sick nuts the best of the best ... Johnny Winter The Greatest

  • @winterguitarking I remember this episode of TOGWT. He made such an impression, so to see him you are a lucky, lucky duck!! Not mentioned enough in my opinion, a fantastic guitarist.

  • A little dab of smack-n-coke 'll do it; get them ole fingers movin every time...I saw ole Johnny a second time, back in 2004.They had to wheel the ole-boy out onto the stage in a wheelchair; he picked his guitar, one string at a time.I thought to myself--dang,it's a wonder that stuff didn't kill him decades ago.Oh well. But it sure does make um' play fast. Yup.

  • @pienmash68 and me..

  • @pienmash68 LMFAO!I just did the same!

  • Thanks. I've enjoyed the J...W...& album but seeing is always cooler

  • Fucking awesome!!!

  • all they need is a skipping rope

  • How rock n' roll is MEANT to be played.

  • Floyd Radford on 2nd guitar !!!! awesome !!

  • WTF????????????????????????????????

  • essa descrição vale , Arnaldo ?

  • DIE, YOU CHALK-FACED GOONS!

  • What a load of old bollocks! Ha ha.....

  • Johnny is rocking some very high heels, tight-ass jeans, and a mid-drift "top" with angel wings......gotta love 70's rock n roll!

  • @oregonHolly1 And that was the guys!!!!!

  • @oregonHolly1 They weren't called "high heels" they were known as "stacks"

  • Noel Fielding on drums

  • the late great Richard Hughes on drums along with the late great Randy Jo Hobbs on bass

  • The Best Rock & Roll Shout!

  • johnny is the shit saw him for the first time when i was 10 mpls and 40 times after that he still rocks

  • fucking load of shite

  • @TheTwollocks shite hum

  • Is that Rick Derringer on the other guiitar?

  • @madelefant05

    No.

  • @madelefant05 yes

  • Are Johnny and Edgar twins, or just brothers? I realize they're both albino, but the look about the same

  • i know how mick and johnny feel; for, sadly, i was also raised by a toothless bearded hag.....get dowwwnnnnn.....!!!

  • Johnny is my all time hero, but I think Floyd overshades him here... awesome players!

  • Jerry Cantrells' dad!

  • @oaklandgroove77 i know johnny used to spike up a lot, so you're probably right...lol.

  • I played JW's rendition of JJF so many times the grooves turned white.

  • Rolling Stones Magazine have Johnny ranked way down below even Jerry Garcia ,with Kieth Richards at # 4 , the stones tried to recruit Johnny giving him Silver Train before the Stones did it , recruited him twice in 1969 and when Taylor split ,Johnny is the most underrated .

I saw him Jam with Stevie Ray back in the early 8-s ,even then Johnny blew him away , then back in Houston after Hendrix died he did a Hendrix tribute playing note for note in the same stile as Hendrix .He is the Master !

  • First vid iv'e ever seen where the rhythm guitarist is better than the lead. lol

  • i look like i would be a spitting imige of johnny winter i wonder if i am related to johnny or edgar winter i like your videos check out my videos i play keyboards with out sheet music i am aso an origanal artist on keyboard not descoverd yet trying to get descoverd do i look like you.

  • Johnny Winter, the MASTER of the Gibson Firebird

  • I agree, best blues rock guitarist ever, cheers, Aldo

  • @subaruforu Ahahahahahahaha nope!

  • I think the first album I ever bought was Johnny Winter And, and I was lucky to see him in Hartford Ct. in the late 70's or early 80's. Great band. He was covered with tatoos by then and played alot of bottleneck too with just a bass player and drummer. Best blues-rock guitarest ever in my book ... an original.

  • best blues player? oh ya mean cause he shreds? morons....yeah hes great but theres stevie ray remember

  • belloooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • MUCH better than the Wellfair Office:The Rolling Stones.

    Johnny Rocks!!

  • Kicks the shit out of The Stones version, always did!

  • JOHNNY IS MY SECOND ON MY LIST OF PICKERS

  • old grey whistle test at it`s best !!

  • i know its a stones song but some really kick ass guitaring !

  • By far the best Johnny Winter lineup. Their greatness is captured on the "Captured Live" album from 1976.

At the same time it's a little sad to see this as both Richard Hughes and Randy Jo Hobbs led troubled lives. Hughes commited suicide when he was only 35 in 1985. Hobbs developed a nasty drug habbit and he died in 1993 beacuse of it.

  • Cool video!

Best from The Late Night with Johnny P Show

  • Wow! This is classic Johnny on top of his game!

  • Who is on drums?

  • @Brad0451

That would be Richard Hughes. Floyd Radford on guitar as well, and the late Randy Jo Hobbs on bass.

  • I like this 'cos he jams really well with "Weird and Gilly"

  • @wolgangzrx- You are right my man Floyd Bradford on 2nd guitar, Randall J. Hobbs on bass and Richard Hughes on drums. He always has great guitarists Rick Derringer being another, bassists too, can't beat the likes of Tommy Shannon, but this was my fav line up. They really rocked it.

  • Amazing.

  • Man, that takes balls to trade licks with Johnny Winter! That dude in the red pants is damn good!

  • Johnny Winter...One of my Favs.

  • Just saw this on 'Old Grey Whistle Test' re-run.... kinda wicked guitar stuff going on. Bwoy, The Stones have to respect this rendition

  • WAY better than the rolling stone's original version

  • Saw this band the day Elvis died at The FOX in Atl. Ga.,never forget that show!!

  • Absolutely brilliant - what a twin guitar combination.

Johnny Winter with Rick Derringer at their best between 1970 and 1973 nobody could touch them. YOWZA!!!

  • @astraltrader That's true but I believe that's Floyd Bradford on 2nd guitar,correct me if I'm wrong.....

  • That's it

  • Best cover, thanks Johnny !!!

  • yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It's only rock'n'roll, I like it

  • The Stones may have written it, but Johnny made it great. The stones were on par with the beatles. Eh, they could write decent and sing. Lousy musicians though. Only McCartney could play his instrument decently. Even Ringo stunk as a drummer. Too bad all the drug addicts picked who was great as far as rock n roll. They got Hendrix, Zepplin and Purple right. But they hardly noticed Rory Gallagher, Montrose and quite a few others. Opting for loud noise rather than true talent. You all know nothing

  • GRAND GUITARISTE , fender stratocaster ,un grand du rock sixties ,magique l'albinos ,le seul l'unique ,toujours là !! rebel68

  • @skeptyky thats not a strat

  • @skeptyky Je partage à 100 pour 100

  • the greatest ever

  • I really dig Johnny's jeans! Song totally kicks!

  • @grayghost9929

    How come you're so aggressive?

  • @grayghost9929

No, not really a joke at all. Just pointing out that the bassist looks a lot like Jemaine Clement, who also plays bass.
