  • looks like a nissan sr de engine!

  • baffled oil pan stock?

  • You forgot he main bearings.

The forgivable parts would be misc gaskets like an oil pan gasket, intake and exhaust manifold gasket.

  • Is it nad if u dnt know wat a four cylinder is?

  • Ford/Mazda new I4 engine, as made in valencia.

  • no oil pan gasket....

  • suck my dohc

  • Names please

  • looks like the DOHC engine from a eclipse

  • Ford D20 2.0 duratec??

  • Really look like an Cosworth /Ford duratec 4cyl

  • This looks very GM like to me. The knock sensor is definitely an LS2 style knock sensor, and we know GM loves to share parts across their lineup.

  • Cool video, makes me want to tear down and rebuild my my doch 4 cyl. It's not bad when you have a nice shop to work in. But when your poor like me and work for a living you have to do it on your kitchen table. neat vid. I can't wait to see the new laser plugs on the newer 4 cylinders.

  • 5 people have 6 cylinder engine :p

  • is dohc means.. diesel overheated camshaft? just asking..

  • @hongkypongky00009 DOHC means double over head cams

  • @bkelly07..it shows the headgasket at 1:01

  • @abowl0frice..its called a Crankshaft..and the one at 0:56 is the Camshaft

  • look is so easy that y dialer charge 3,000 dollars foe an engine swap just a engine (LOL) an the part of 0:13 is a cram shaft

  • what is the part at 0:13 called?

  • there is no headgasket but there is valve cover gasket?

    ]

  • WTF carburetor?

  • @alexsuchapimp At what point is there a Carb? its.. a throttle-body? if you mean at 2:11 ?

  • It does look like a GM 2.2 or a Rover K series.

  • wheres the supercharger at ? hahaa

  • saturn ion 2.2 or a cavalier 2.2 motor, look loke a gm motor not a honda

  • hi were did you get the 3d model? looking for something like this. Thanks

  • honda k motor.........

  • you forgot the turbo son..

  • WTF this is not a HONDA VTEC!

  • @PEREZCHOOCH opeeel

  • @changsifon WTF

  • right at 0:57 ish those arc things that go ontop of the cam's what are those? do they just hold the cams in place?

  • @xXxDANMANxXx to prevent the chain to skip or snap

  • @jonatharivera ahh thanks

  • @xXxDANMANxXx Those are the main bearings

  • Reading your comments I truly understand how ignorant you are now. Reading a news paper tells you nothing about how the world works. Try traveling it you know it all little shit. You are worse than the stupid American you are the euro trash no it all. You think euro McDonalds is natural? Wow your dumb.

  • hahahaha, i'm sure your hyundai would be slower.

queen has the power to reinstall a the manorchia in russia.do some, but this can't be done because they would claim the family fortune.

    read before you talk.

dude, pretty much all containers in USA or whereever passed true rotterdam.

    : )

  • Impressive, I found myself naming all the parts as they went on lol!

  • is this pretty close to a j20a 2003 suzuki aerio motor?

  • if only i knew what each of these parts did.

  • this shit is mesmerising.

  • that I do agree with, SOHC's may be weak but they last double the mileage of a DOHC, as its the other way around with the DOHC that they last half as long but they make alot more power, thats unless I turbo my d16a6 single cam then I have all the power I need

  • nice video, but I like my SOHC, its simpler and lasts much longer, just wish it had a timing chain, not belt

  • @Brendon00000 yes SOHC will last longer but DOHC will have more power :)

  • SOHC with 2 valves per cylinder will breathe better but not rev as quick as a DOHC 4 valve per cylinder

  • @bandguy360 oh no the thing that people say that SOHC breathes better is not true, both are roughly the same but DOHC engines tend to provide more

BHP and touque at high rpm

  • wrong, a 4 valve engines breath better than a 2 valve.

    who told you this?

the reason the use 4 or more valves is a bigger valve surface.

bigger surface, more air can enter and easier, same counts for exhaust gasses.

  • @naturalyshocked well a 2 valve per cyclinder will have less "dead" space than a 4 valve per cylinder. so all else being equal, 2 valves will breathe better

  • no, it's not.

dude, think logical, why would japanese bikes have been built in the first place with the DOHC and later on with 4 valve?

you're wrong, don't believe the shit american people that love heritage tell you.

i know they like pushrods and that' why they tell you this.

even the first Bugatti 's and Duesenberg's had DOHC and 4 valves per cilinder.

do you think mr Bugatti was wrong or Mr Duesenberg?

the 2 valve has always more useless space than a a 4, 5 or 8 valve cylinder.

  • if 2 valve was OK, like you state GM would have never died.

but GM did die, because the pushrod was bad, it was unselleble.

the GM importer (kroymans) for europe went bancrupt.

cadilac sold les than 1000 cars in 10 year in the netherlands.

    : )

if 4 valve has more surfuce area, than 2 valve, how come 2 valve has less dead space?

    you're screwed by pushrod lovers.

i had a Clio Williams, that car was faster than most american V8 from the same era.

don't believe the shit people that love heritage

  • @naturalyshocked dude im not a fan of pushrods, my dirtbike is a DOHC 4 valve, but actually the pushrod is used in the LS9 supercharged corvette, the wedge type engine is great for low end torque, thats also why lots of trucks have them for towin

  • nonsense, with a good gearbox, like xtrac, Sadev you achieve more than any engine.

with a good gearbox, you can beat a corvette zr1 with only 4 cyl and 1.2 liter displacement.

  • @bandguy360 i hope you know that the LS motors do not use pushrods their over head cam

  • @ACHEESEDANISH00 well the last on i saw twas a pushrod

  • @naturalyshocked Cadillacs haven't used pushrod in the last 10 years. GM died because of bad management and poor union negotiating. Their product was less of a problem than many people thought. The Netherlands have a minuscule population by the way, most American cars won't sell well there anyway.

The Clio i a piece of shit too. Anyone who drive a little French turd thinking it can take a V8 is part retarded and half asleep. Most Clios don't have more than 100 HP, fastest is 6.9 0-60... Sad.

  • @flatblackstrat hahahaha, lair, the CTS-V is a pushrod

and you have no clue about the renault williams and it's charracter, i would always choose for the williams instead of a 3 ton vehicle.

the netherland is the 9th most powerfull country in the world on the gold scale. it own more gold per capita than USA.

  • @naturalyshocked What are you laughing about idiot? It's a Vette motor and would smoke any little POS Clio, my old Tiburon would smoke it too. Every single Northstar engine until the changeover to the new platform was OHC.

Calling the Netherlands powerful is like a turd floating amongst fish. Their still aren't enough people in the Netherlands to justify an economical, military or trade threat to anyone. Common... everybody makes fun of the Dutch, they are the Canadians of Europe.

  • we don't need militairy power ... but i do know that our elite force are oversized for american cano feed, why do you think in each war most are american, becvause we send americans, true power is found in the UK, swiss. the people that handle the money.

  • Comment removed

  • All that money didn't stop the Germans from coming in there and butt fucking you guys. I guess you can thank the "cannon fodder" of the U.S. for freeing all that money of yours since you would have lived under Nazi rule forever without us.

BTW what car has the Netherlands ever produced? Spyker doesn't count since everything they make is Swedish. I don't believe you have one. So please STFU and GTFA.

  • @flatblackstrat Daf: 33, 44, 55, 66, 46. Volvo 66, 340, 440, 460, 480, s40, v40. Mitsubischi: space star, charisma, Colt/CZ3, Outlander. Smart forfour.

the automatic CVT transmission was invented in the netherlands.

    : )

DAF was pure dutch, some people say the Daf is the best truck in the world.

so before making a total clown off yourself, do something about your poor education.

but that's alrite, most people are used about loose americans words and no solid fundation behind it.

  • @naturalyshocked DAFs cars RIP were also little pieces of shit, guess who owns their truck division? Their trucks while decent are not anywhere near as established as companies Like Hino, Volvo and other commercial manufacturers. Again you are just giving more reasons for me to make fun of you, like you thinking a Dutchman invented to CVT haha, don't make me laugh. That technology was patented in the U.S. and Europe by Daimler before the Dutch were using it. You need to go educate your dumb ass.

  • @flatblackstrat dude, the CVT WAS invented in holland, want it or not

by a fellow called "Hub van Doorne" the founder of DAF.

wiki: Variomatic first line of text.

    stupid idiot.

the Daf 33 was a car built by dutch for dutch, long time ago, it's a pretty nice car.

because the it drives as fast backwards as forwards.

it's car built for the local dimensions.

stop underestimating the dutch, CIA world faqbook, the dutch have more boats than USA.

  • @naturalyshocked Haha the CTV has more different variations than than Holland has people. And no the first company to file an invention patent were the Germans you Idiot, before Hub was even born. Variomatic was the type he invented he didn't invent the CVT dumbass, and that type is no longer used in any automobile.

I guess only a Dutchman would be dumb enough to want to make a car go fast in both directions and test it as such.

Stop comparing a speck in Europe to the U.S.

  • @flatblackstrat yes he did, arshole.

    search everywhere on the world.

there are no production cars with CVT prior to DAF.

DAF made it a cheap solution.

dude instead of trowing mud, do something about your economy, china has several trillians stashed and can make you bancrupt overnight and probably will do so when the time is right.

the netherlands have homeless people, but THEY choose to live on the streets, by only providing a postal addres each legal dutch can have a sociaal income for free.

  • @flatblackstrat we have twice the number of merchant marine than the USA and we beat you by 11 positions on the world ranking list.

we're are a trade nation and the only country in the world being beabled to lift loads over 500 tons anywhere in the world.

we have the biggest building in the world with over 1 million square meter.

dedicated to the flower market and the number 1 seller in the world in flower.

... and we used to be biggest drugs seller in the world

    : )

  • @flatblackstrat "guess who owns their truck division"

we're a trade nation, we had the first global operating country over 500 years back.

we even sell our moms if the price is right.

and we're one of the biggest spending country on human AID.

we're neutral and we only care about money(unfortantly).

we operated the worlds biggest harbour for over 50 years and not even USA has a port that even comes close to the size of our port.

  • @naturalyshocked Being a trade nation has nothing to do with whoring your nation out, but I guess for the right price I could fuck your mom. Anyway you did make me laugh on the last comment it was rather funny TBO. You are misconstruing everything I am telling you. I don't hate the Netherlands nor do I hate most people, what I do hate are people that think Americans are fat stupid and lazy when they themselves are some of the most arrogant idiots on the planet by thinking so.

  • @flatblackstrat besides the Dutch operate banks in the USA,

we have several entities in the top 100 biggest economies.

  • @naturalyshocked And we have the most and biggest entities in the most economies in the world. Coca-Cola, Ford, McDonalds, P&G, Pfyzer, Borg Warner, Apple, Microsoft, HP, GE, Ect... the biggest foreign entities in China are American owned. We could bankrupt them in a second if we brought all of our manufacturing interests back home, but one cannot live without another since we are their main importer.

  • @flatblackstrat hahaha, you can't compare the european mcdonalds with the american mcdonalds.

they have nothing in common accept their name.

we can visit the production plants where the Mac food is made, we know the european MAC food is safe and natural. recently i read that there is litle food security in the US, GENTECH FOOD causes mayor health problems, like diabetes.

No you can't bankrupt them, they OWN and control 97% of the world Rare earth metals.

  • @flatblackstrat dude, it's common knowledge that there are very stupid people in the US.

just watch the avarage edition of COPS.

    sure, stupid things happen everywhere.

but on miniscule scale compared to the USA.

i have read several times here and there, that some americans think that holland is part of denmark.

many americans don't not even show interres for things that happen outside their their town and probably don't know even street names from town/cities next door.

  • @naturalyshocked - I'm not arguing with you but you can't accurately classify a whole nation based on a few steretypical observations. Maybe focus on how you represent yourself and where your from in a more positive way, but then again, im just a stupid american.

  • @flatblackstrat i don't know everything, but i do know what happens arround the world.

i have been reading news papers since i learned read.

i can name atleast 500 cities/town/states/landmarks on the fly and probably much more from than U.S. than any us citizin from europe.

    lack of interrest = stupid.

  • so whats the disadvantage or advantage of a DOHC engine///?

  • @samartz They typically aren't a run free motor that means if the cam stopped moving the valves hit the pistons and also there are more moving parts.

  • @samartz DOHC breaths twice better than SOHC and gets more power because of that.

  • When I think about it there is'nt a production engine I've seen with the inlet manifold

on the right side viewed from the front. This engine is available in front wheel drive and that would mean the exhaust manifold would be on the rear against the bulkhead. Can't ever remember a FWD lying with the gear box on the left.

  • @mistermcculloch im confused by your comment.

  • It looks like a Ford Dohc L4 2.0 litre 16v except that the inlet and outlet manifolds are on the wrongside. The same cylinder head can be found in Volvos and Mazdas.

  • k20 =)

  • It's CLEARLY a 1.3l rotary motor from an rx7. Plain as day.

  • @VcottntailW its not a wankel rotary lol

  • @ganja4twee

oh but it is cant you see the rotars being placed next to the flux capasitor?

  • Damn good animation!

  • that isn`t opel motor? :o

  • Who cares what kind of 4 cylinder it is, I'm sure we can all agree that Honda is the master at making 4 cylinder engines

  • @TheKoreanX

    stole there design from lampredi

  • @JayClarkTheShark And they sure as hell perfected it, I tell ya what

  • its a RB-26 lmao!!!!

  • This is a Ford 2.0 engine, fuck off ffs

  • @whatevaface your correct.. its the probe 2.0 engine.. im sure of it.. looks exact.

  • Comment removed

  • @frankyw729 except the inlet and outlet manifolds are on the wrong side : ) I've got this engine in a Transit....

  • DOHC- double over head cam

  • hey. with this where's the restrictor plate at? i can't find it.

  • @cwarren202003 WTF restrictor plate for what?

  • don't start that thing, it'll self destruct !!!! ...you forgot to put cir clips on the wrist pins

  • @eotamoderator and all gaskets

  • @eotamoderator

do they use circlips on interference fit gudgeon pins?

  • @eotamoderator honda B series motor dont have cir clips on the wrist pins. they are pressed in. and to change pistons u must have them pressed out :)

  • @eotamoderator honda B series motor dont have cir clips on the wrist pins. they are pressed in. and to change pistons u must have them pressed out :)

  • @eotamoderator not if there pressed in. they dont have retainers.

  • @eotamoderator they are probably press fit

  • @Lwiss230 just what i was going to say

  • I't's a K series engine by honda. Notice the timing chain.

The best motor ever! What a sexy toy !!!!111!

K20A comes with a JDM CTR

This thing is even lighter than the d series engines.. ^^ Sweet!!!

  • @Spiethstar are you dumb? I've seen the entire vid its a Ford 2.0l

  • @Spiethstar

They dont use bucket lifters in the K20a. Thats a Ford duratec 2.0l.

  • guys -_- its a 2.0L ford engine stop that bullshitting about a civic

  • my teacher in autoshop has this as the screensaver he said it was a volkswagon lol...he probally is wrong because i proved to him a new buggati veyron has a w-16 engine not a v-12..lol

  • @KOOPA1020 im pretty sure its a honda b series motor

  • it is a ford duratec engine mazda use the same engine

i`am sure it is no honda the use a belt for the camshaft this is a chain

    sorry for my english

  • any one else notice the water pump wasnt put in lol

  • @galaeron554 Then what is that thing at 2:32?

  • @HollandDbest thats the waterpump

  • @buccoroo yeah I know but he said anyone else noticed that they didnt put the waterpump in so I said what is that then at 2:32

  • @galaeron554 lol it even did a little turn about

  • Nice vid, Kinda looks like a honda v-tec 2.4!

  • DOHC - Double Over Head Cam eg. like "Twin Cams" and the like.

  • second question, what specifically makes an engine DOHC?

  • I dream the day I'll know atleast 10% of the names and where they are on an actual car. hahaha. :(

  • i think this is a toyota, im not sure but i can find out tomorrow because theres one exactly like it sitting in my shop

  • @reap62 I saw a longer version of the exact vid, I think it said ford!

  • @Motorfordtoyota well im not calling you wrong but i looked at the engine in my shop and it was a toyota and it looked exactly like this one down to the plastic valve cover and the tiny flywheel but i could be wrong

  • Deutz Diesel engine, my dad works at Deutz and this is the companys screensaver on all pc's.

  • @Salpeteroxid this is not a diesel engine at around 2:22 you can see them put spark plugs in there are no spark plugs in a diesel

  • @Cadetbe2 I know right? lol that is a honda H22 motor. deffinitely not diesel.

  • Comment removed

  • @krumpinSamoan not an h22 ,the t-belt is on the other side, this isnt a honda engine not sure what it is but it aint honda, cool vid though..

  • Comment removed

  • @Cadetbe2 Good man.

  • @Cadetbe2 They never said that it was a diesel

  • learn to watch.. the oil pan is underneath dipshit. think with your dipstick jimmy.

  • haha man if u used this video to put a engine together witch u shouldn't, you would have a bad oil leak. They forgot the oil pan gasket.

  • wats 4 cylnider

  • @YMSFSFNDS lmao

  • @reeseslover19 lol i wna learn about these cars

  • man I have a 95 Thunderbird with 204k on it. I just rebuilt the tranny and replaced the valve covers and gaskets. Threw on a K and N for good measure too. Notta problem with it. Wonder when that thing will decide to shit the besd :0p.

  • nice vid

  • ok im agree w u ducky sorry about the chains comment but anyway my intention was tell americans engines cant compite with japanese engines, NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR only in dreams even with twice hp. sorry 4 my english again. tnx

  • wow so a honda's k20 engine is like a few generatoins ahead of this ugly chunky thing, and it has chains, i wouldn't drive this thing unless i wanted to drive 25 mph for the rest of my life lol honda got better quality, half the weight, and better performance...for the same price lol

  • LOL... I like how you are speaking so highly of the K series and degrading this engine despite the many similarities. Based on your response, you stated "and it has chains"... Is this referring to the L3 or to a K-series? because both have dual chains. One for cam timing and the other for the oil pump, Both have isolated oil pumps. Only major difference is K-series are open deck blocks whereas the L3s are closed.

  • there are a lot of upgrades to this engine, and my comment about chains was strictly about acceleration, chains jam and break while belts are a lil better for performance, im not insulting the roots of where all engine's roots come from but i wish they would've done somethin a bit more advanced than a simple american 4 cyl, if ur goin to do american do a v8 or v10, no offense bro its just this engine doesn't put out the way i like it to

  • ive owned my car for 11 years and 121k miles, and havent had a single problem with the timing chain. i think its going now tho...somethings up with the valve train. it still lasted pretty damn long.

  • @DuckyLove15 and you dont think belts break?

  • to be specific i have the k20z3 which is...trust me... a better engine than an american 4 cyl

  • @DuckyLove15 why?

  • This engine comes from a Ford / Mazda. I just built a MazdaSpeed 3 (L3K9) engine which is very similar to this. Heads are different because MS3 are direct port injection whereas this one is not. I'm pretty sure this is from a regular Mazda 3.

  • That is so good of you to know that stuff about this engine. You're a very big asset to the black community. After I watched this video and read your comment I felt nice and cozy. It made me think that you are like my dad working on the car in the driveway and that makes me feel cozy because daddy is home when he fixes the car and you make me feel like daddy is home and cozy. Do you like feeling cozy?

  • @gtov6g72 actually the engine showed is used by toyota. 1.8L I4

  • UNGUREANODORU its not a honda engine not k20, not b series, any honda series it look like an bad american design with the plastic intake and its chains bla bla yarayarayara n everything to make it heavier hahaha .... americans (sorry 4 my english)

  • @15788981

Ok man. Almost all engines nowadays have plastic air intakes. Why? It's lighter, cheaper, and insulates the air charge better from engine heat. Not just Americans. Take a look at a Honda. And nobody uses plastic chains wtf? Plastic would die in an instant. Also its a timing chain, versus a belt. To my knowledge, I think the F20, F22 have timing chains. Everything else has a belt. Correct me if I'm wrong?

  • well, this isnt a large percentage of cars out there, but the saturn S series used chains.

  • Is this a 4g63?

  • This is perfect Example!! Thanks!!!

  • ye are a bunch of fagits its only an engine

  • @im9000 yea man I agree. fuck its only a rendering and everyone is dropping balls over it. hahaha

  • Looks like a lot of engines, but to me it looks like Nissan's SR20DE, quite possibly wrong though

  • Definitely not an SR20DE, looked like it had spark plugs and from what I think I know, SR's use coilpacks.

  • My friend has sparkplugs on his SR, but i think you can make the switch over to coils easily, as I know people with KA's who swear by coils.

  • If that's true then I stand corrected. Running a KA right now too =P

  • Yeah, I'm not sure if he converted or if it came stock that way, but anyways I like the KA more than the SR, I woulda gone KA-T if I didnt go RB25

  • But come to think of it, I stand corrected, doesn't look like an SR, also very similar. The valve cover doesn't have that triangular groove in it, and the little tube thing doesn't come off at a right angle like this one does on an SR. Oh well :P

  • very well made animation with clear details!

  • not this is one hell of a model, and good animation...

    Love it

  • nice animation with many details on....

  • its ford engine

  • Its a honda civic engine!

  • DOHC means double overhead cam you idiot, it's used in just about all of todays cars!

  • actually its dual overhead cam ...

  • some say double some dual, hell, toyota reffer to it as twin cam, it means the same thing anyway.

  • Ford Duratec to be exact.

  • I like 4 Cylinder engines espeacially when they are pushing a weight below 1000kg's.

This one looks like the Toyota Corrola engine or the K20A engine from the Civic.

  • the engine in this video looks like the one in my 2002 ford ranger. i had to rebuild the head on it once, and that gave me the chance to see the whole engine in peaces.

  • i THINK mazda did timing change so that they could use perfect timing for the high rpm....im not sure though
