  • I admire your loyalty to the original series but what you talk about here can be explained in a simple manner. (i guess)

All the money they spent on the Knight Two Thousand, they put in special effects and computer graphs instead of putting it on the car itself. We should be happy it still has the scanner on the hud.. Btw, might you know anyone that can actually make a scanner like the Three Thousand? I mean not with blocks but a straight line.

  • Ask Taoworm2323. He managed to build his replica.

  • Your a fucking moron TA looks like shit and very much stock. The mustang is bad ass the Whipple from the supercharger alone made that movie worth watching.

  • "Well....this is.....this is KITT" lol. I agree 100% with everything you've just said. No thought was put in to the new KR. Even the commercial breaks don't have a little animation of the car driving through the desert....nothing is at least close to the original in this one.

  • Would it have killed the Pontiac company to build a updated Pontiac Trans-Am for the new show. or use what ever year was the last one they made. It would have been better then the Mustang car they have now for the new show.

  • The Knight Rider does have a turbo boost

  • it does

  • Kight rider will never be what it once was,and MUSTANG will always stand for Mest Up Sh@* That Ain't No Good!

  • They should have used a Pontiac...Kitt should stay Pontiac.. In my options, i wouldn't have bothered if they had took the 2002 year Trans Am or the 2006 GTO, both would have been fine, since they're Pontiac..

  • OR they could have just made a 2007' Trans AM special for this movie..

  • Viktor Kros has told me that they went to Pontiac to get some help and build them a TA for the movie, but they said no.

  • I agree.

  • i give this five starsssssssssssssssssssssss

  • this sucks, why don't they just make it back to good old original kitt, no turbo boost, what the hell is that about...thats kitts signiture move....nbc knows that people hate new kitt, so they should just get rid of it....knight rider fans would be thrilled if original kitt came back with the original voice (William Daniels) and hasselhoff should be michael knight

  • The Hoff is reprising his role as Michael Knight, it will be a small appearance, but he will be back. And yes, I agree that no turbo boost equals suckage.

  • will the Mustang have my favorite move the ski mode. Side on two wheels? No turbo boost sux...

  • It does indeed. No Turbo Boost = a major buzzkill.

  • Turbo boost! BANG!!! Oh, sh... Mustang doesn't look like it can jump... heavy big hippo :P

  • yeah, I have questioned whether or not the KITT-Stang would be able to pull that off anyway.

  • Sure it could...They could always use a V6 base model stunt car all dressed up like the hero car, the V6 mustang has more than enough power to get that car air born..In fact the base model mustang has more power then the V8 fire bird of late. No reason why they cant jump it.

  • i think theyre referring to the landing impact... KITT needs a diet

  • Well, the mustang is as they say 'a fridge on wheels'.

  • This is one movie I won't be going to see. I am so disappointed. A mustang and no turbo boost. What were they thinking? Oh wait thinking requires a brain, which obviosly they are lacking. :(

  • The Mustang is part of NBC's pilot for a TV series, it has nothing to do with the movie adaptation Glen Larson is working on. And yeah, no Turbo Boost (jump)? This will probably be a very short lived series.

  • ya SERIOSLY!!! LOL

  • Cruel, but accurate.

  • its horrible

  • It's taking some getting used to.

  • They had better make up for the cars ...um...short comings with really good acting, That was the only thing the old show lacked.

  • That Mustang is awful. They were obviously on a budget and probably don't have a lot of hope for the show themselves.. It would've made more sense for them to use a black '02 WS6 Trans Am. I'd rather they not even bring the series back at all and just done a big screen version of the original pilot.

  • I know. I said it would have made more sense to use a 2002 Trans Am, at least it wouldn't have broken continuity between cars.

Except for the original quarter of a century old and the other being over 5 years old.

  • Right, but it still makes more sense then the Mustang and it looks 100x better..

  • Very true.

  • Sure the 4th gen 'Birds are outta date by now, but with a few modifications they could've made it look great, and possibly inspire a revival in the market for the T/A. Go on Knightreplicas . com and look for Cesar Gamino's rendition of KITT. Looks a helluvalot better than the Mustang.

  • That is a good site.

  • I don't necessarily care for the new car either, but I will hold judgement for when the new movie comes out. I agree that they could have done more with the interior, I think they were just being lazy and were not being very creative. You would figure that if they are going to try and hook the people with a pilot episode, they would have all of the bells and whistles. Anyhow, hope they don't ruin the legecy that the 80's show left.

  • That's what I'm hoping for as well. The 80's show is both iconic and legendary, for it to be tarnished now, would be a shame.

  • Lame...as in the new car is lame. Not even your barmy accent can properly express how much I despise this new car.

  • Barmy, huh? LOL! It's been called a few things, but never that. I'm cool with that, each to their own.

And yeah, I'm not overly impressed by the KITT-Stang either.

  • they should have used the camaro but they used it in transformers and i think they couldve done a betetr job with the mustang

  • Yeah, like a Nissan GT-R. That would look more the part.

  • Knight Rider is why I wanted a Trans Am in the first place. I love Mustangs more, but I don't really like the K3000. I think it looks too radical and stands out too much, not to mention the lack of turbo boost.

  • Yeah, KR - Turbo boost = suckage!

  • Knight Rider made me buy my trans am. i still love it and will never give it up.

  • Neither will I give it up. Hopefully, Glen's movie will keep the faith and stay true to what KR is all about. But in fairness, I will give the new Pilot TV movie a chance before I make my mind up about it.

  • sorry lads, they are not lazy..but its called motor vehicle endorsement. like the old bonds movies..most of their cars didn't really show the basic case of car..really futuristic and makes people think that the car built just for the movie.

Now, everything is product endorsed.New bond movies are full of product endorsement.

Something that we can't run away from now...

    commercialism.=p

  • it is a shame when it comes to that.

  • I surely hope not...=(

If there is no Turbo Boost, it is not a true Knight Rider. Bang up some cars...that's what they did in the 80's and that's what they should do now...

I so wish they had the TransAm's. =/

  • I agree. They said that the K3000 will be more up to date kinda implies that it would be an easy task for the car to Turbo boost.

  • I agree with you 100%.

  • Thank you. That's very appreciated.

  • mmmm...seems like the future is OLDER than the past...whatever that means

  • I see...

  • I agree, the original KITT looks over futurisitic and it was the definitive car of the future, this Mustang is WACK, it's like they saw Fast and the Furious wanted to make it all HIP-HOP and thought "yeea lets make this a muscle car for all them teenage boys who want to beat off over it" rather than make a mature Slick looking thing, it looks rubbish WTF!

  • Glad to see someone who thinks the same as me. True, the Mustang is cool, but it's wrong for KITT.

  • im not watching the new knight rider because theyve killed it off, all that time to try and do a new one and they go and ruin it like this, typical money makers.

  • You might be wrong. Even if this does ok, we know that Glen Larson will produce something far superior to the the new show with his Movie.

  • naa its kak and thats that!

  • No turbo boost? You've got to be kidding me! It does have a keyboard now, so that makes up for it. The more info I find on the show, the more angered I get.

  • Just like I said in the video; Knight Rider 2000 and TKR all over again.

  • Great video MJKnight. I completely agree with everything you said. The 26 year old Trans Am is ageless, and is what EVERYBODY thinks of when they think Knight Rider. This latest incarnation of Knight Rider looks like a train wreck alreday. This'll be the 4th failed attempt at reviving the series, and the sad part is, it'd be so simple to do it right. It's staring them in the face. It has been for the last 20 years.

  • I shall always think of KITT as a Trans Am. Granted, I shall watch the new Pilot and then judge it. But the likelyhood is; it'll never match up to the original.

That, and it's not under Glen Larson's direction either, that's strike 2!

  • I agree with you, Kitt as a 1982 Trans Am looks totally better then the new Mustang. Even KIFT in the Knight Rider movie looks better. You would think the Knight Indsutries Two Thousand would be in this new TV movie because he was around in storage, until he was sold off for parts when the Knight Four Thousand came out.

  • You would think so since Hasselhoff is appearing in the new Pilot in a sense to 'pass the torch'. But then again, Hollywood is known for making decisions that do not make sense at times.

  • no turbo boost?!?!?!

    uhhhhhhhh......

  • Yeah. That's what I thought.
