I just experienced a strange coincidence. I was going to comment on this video, but my comment limit expired and I had to renew it by typing "sally". And Princess "Sally" is one of the characters in the Sonic cartoon that was on ABC until 1995! That was odd!
WPTA in Fort Wayne used this, but using NewsMusic Central's Image VI. Also I remember WSJV (before switching to Fox) in South Bend using this exact same ID.
@tmisch64 I remember the 1994-1995 edition of the ABC ID but it was custom Made for KGO-TV in San Francisco it had a news one v1 signature with the 1995 ABC ID but with the ABC7 logo. "More Northern Californians watch Channel 7 ABC."
I love the music used with some larger markets advertising their own ABC affiliate. Same network guy's voice-except you'd hear (for example): "WPVI Channel 6...A..B...C". (as done in Philly). I would LOVE to find clips of bumpers like these.
No way, dude. One minute you've got this screen that's completely, eerily blank, and then the letters explode into being without warning. The music blasts you almost deaf. When I was kid, this made me a nervous wreck. I think it's cool now, but not so much then.
And I remember this id so well, there's virtually NO WAY I can EVER forget it. But how do u see it as scary? That's not logical for one to think that!!!
this is my favorite abc logo; i know this logo was surrounded by the transparency red and blue circles, with a sky background (abc movie logo of the mid 1990s)
this isn't scary; this is my most favorite abc ident of all. I know there was an abc movie ident from around this time with the rotating red and blue transpeancy circles surrounding the abc logo, like this one

I have KTVO's version back in 1994-1995.
It said this: " You're watching the Heartland's favorite channel: KTVO."

This was the same year WMAR-TV in Baltimore (my respectful city) had switched from affiliating NBC to ABC.I wonder if they had an ID similar to this.

Me too. When i was living in cleveland it was like You're watching WEWS...CHA-NNEL FIVE. When I moved to Pittsburgh it was:
"You're watching WTAE TV....CHA-NNEL FOUR!"
Other versions include:
"WCVB TV 5.....ABC!"
"WVEC TV....ABC!"

Scary? Not Really.
But that Viacom "V of Doom" was some scary shit!
BTW, in 1995 ABC's slogan was, as i read up, was "Get with the Program!".
