If the Union had been working with the Management why aren't they (Management,NTUC,PAP) Cheaper,Better and Faster themselves?
Isn't it hypocritical that the NTUC Sec Gen and the Minister of Manpower have multi million dollar salaries and increased their salaries during the downturn?
They should upturn the downturn together right? Is SG Labour Movement's goal to make Singapore the cheapest wage labour in the world? From 1st world back to 3rd world?
nice. REALLY nice. i'm sure that song has INSPIRED so many of us singaporeans. i'm SOOOO proud to be a singaporean after seeing this. i'm glad we're paying them so much money to come up with stuffs like these. definitely money well spent.
We should hire them to replace most of our ministers in the parliment becoz they sucks. Lose alot in investments, high pay and bonus, lousy entertainers and the list goes on...
And other than having better talent, these foreigners are also willing to accept lower pay and hence cut cost. So more money to help those poor and old singaporeans. :) Problem solved.
I hav seen so many people struggling in this bad time. It's either they got retrenched or they are forced to work on certain days in order to cut cost. Either way they earn less than they used to.
And why is our darn ministers salary are not affected? They are still getting astronomical salaries from taxpayers like us!
If only Obama is our PM, he would slam the ministers pay, including his own and perhaps use it instead to help the poor.

You may think that all government initiatives suck but I don't. I'm not a crony, I'm merely a person who hopes to benefit from the funding into upgrading. I've long wanted to do a mid-career switch and this has finally given me the opportunity to do just that.
If you don't want to take the opportunities, then don't, but don't knock those of us who do.
Please pardon - If you are the one who's fired or had the paycut with this downtown, will you have time to watch these people singing? If they're fired/had their pay cut, would they still stand there and sing this? Should cut their pay abit, so they'll feel the anxiety so as to "professionalize" their singing/contribution to the fund raising.
Viewing this stupid performance makes me embarassed to be a Singaporean. I can't believe our people can be this stupid. It is a ridiculous song made worse by their awful singing and dismal attempt to appear enthusiastic.
