  • Susan Graham is singing "O malheureuse Iphigénie" from Act II.

  • @nyc88s Thank you! Much appreciated! :)

  • I'd love to know what the song is called that Susan Graham is singing from "Iphigenie en Tauride" can anyone tell me? It's so haunting!

  • I saw Verdi's Don Carlo on Met Live viewing last week.

It was a great drama full of love, vengeance, justice, friendship, sorrow etc.

It's a heavy story opera, but it has lots of beautiful arias, solo, duo, trio, quartet.

Alagna, Poplavskaya, Keenlyside,Smirnova, tutti were fantastic. A great bass,

Ferruccio Furlanetto was truly King Filippo II.

    You must see it!!

  • im surprised they aren't playing Carmen. I mean... that was probably the best opera i've seen.

  • On the weekend, I went to see Don Pasquale live in HD being broadcast at my local theater. Before it started, they were showing other upcoming broadcasts including "Nixon in China", and I recognized the song that was playing for it, but I didn't know its name. Can anyone please enlighten me on that? I am unable to find it on you tube.

  • @scienceman89 The song they played for "Nixon In China" is a chorus called "The People are the Heros Now", and it's from Act one.

  • @Shekhina01 How unfortunate!

  • I enjoyed Das Rheingold very much!

Everything is gorgeous, fantastic. Especially, the stage directed by Robert Lepage

is tremendously great. I don't know how to explain. It's a miracle!

    You must see it!

  • @harvinsky yes, I agree. I found it remarkably well done. A great performance for sure.

  • My friend and I went to see Carmen in the spring, and we saw 0:46 and thought, "Whoa! Biker Wotan!" Lol :D Though to be fair, Odin of Norse mythology could easily have looked like that.
