I agree with the comments that this should be sold as DLC content for Rock Band. I'd love to play it for fun. I could care less if Rock Band/Guitar Hero are realistic or not because they are a ton of fun regardless. Besides, the drums are pretty realistic especially if you use an ion set or other electronic drum set. Infact, i am learning to play real drums right now and i also play drums on Rock Band for fun. You also have the new guitar w/ pro-mode and MIDI Keyboard so it's getting more real.

Get over it. Rock Band and real instruments are nothing alike (unless you count Pro-Mode in RB3). It's just a game, and a pretty fun one at that. One can do both at the same time (real and plastic)
