  • so for repulse monkey you pivot on your heel? all the other videos i've seen pivot on the toes. now i'm confused.

  • @odunne2 - There are numerous forms of Tai Chi with many styles of Tai Chi with the styles continuing to evolve with varying forms, hybrids, and approaches. The People’s Republic of China had The National Physical Culture and Sports Commission create a simplified, standardized form of Tai Chi in 1956, thus becoming standardized Wushu training using competitive forms. This is the form used within this video. Thank you - M Thomas

    Thank you.

  • @Lolitadumbrique1 - I am sorry but I do not know of any Tai Chi Fan Dance instructions. The Tai Chi DVD you are viewing above does have a lot of instructional information for the beginner. This was done to help those who want to practice in the privacy of their home, when they want and as much as they want. The DVD can be order with all 11 parts shown on YouTube if you click the arrow above at "Show More". Thank you for your inquiry. M Thomas

  • how do i get focast enough to do this

  • @joshwswalters - It is difficult to focus with a wandering mind. Try and meditate prior to the lessons. Sit still & concentrate on your breathing. Breathe in through your nose slowly & Inhale the positive surrounding you. Breathe out through your mouth slowly and release any negative build-up. Work on this while you concentrate on your breathing. Practice with the warm-up that is within the DVD or on YouTube. This may help with your concentration. I hope you meet your goal. Thank you - M Thomas

  • Thank you!

  • @dalferr - You are most welcome. Thank you - M Thomas

  • I'm really learning a lot from your videos. Duo xie!

I've been joining my grandfather in his morning tai chi chuan exercises but the movements in your videos are a tad different from what he's been teaching me. Are the movements here related to combat tai chi chuan?

    More power!

  • @iludere - This is one of many forms of Tai Chi. The National Physical Culture and Sports Commission, of the People’s Republic of China, created and simplified this Tai Chi form in 1956. This became part of the drive to document and standardize Wushu training, thus introducing competition forms.

The Beijing 24 form has many names, including the 24-step form, the Peking form, simplified Tai Chi and even just the 24 postures. Thank you - M Thomas

  • I have a question: I have to be expert in tai chi to improve my health or I could stay at the beginner stage? please give me an answer.

    Thanx for your videos!

these exercises really help me sleep better

  • @ThePoppyFlower89 - Good question. You are on a good path to begin with when you say "these exercises really help me sleep better". Study the body, arms, legs, hands and feet positions well and repeat them exactly as you see them. Try not to fool yourself by saying you are doing good. Be your own critic and learn to do the positions as you see them and not how you perceive them. This exercise will take a while to learn well before you are ready to move on. Thank you - M Thomas

  • @MThomasEsqI Thanks alot for your answer it really helps me

I wish you peace and harmony

  • @ThePoppyFlower89 Hi, I'am not a Thai Chi-Expert, but sure that everything what has to do with thai chi is good for your health, though you are beginner. I have practiced thai chi some times with a master and he trains beginners, old people, young people, doesn't matter...it's just important to do the right movements, slow, relaxed, with a good body-position...

  • @nibor315 thanks alot for the information I wish you all the best

  • MThomasEsqI i was wondering after we do this exsercise daily and stuff what happens? like do u gain more chi? or are u able to feel and see it better ?

plz reply back.I see a lot of tai chi exsercises/slow movement but i dont realy know what they do.

  • @yohanis12 - For those who are dedicated to Tai Chi it is a moment of peace. This exercise should help your inner self become more aware of what is inside of you and what surrounds you (people & life) and should provide more self-awareness and selflessness. It is done slowly to bring about the above results and should help you think with a clear mind. The best results come when you clear your mind while you perform Tai Chi. This comes after a lot of practice. Thank you for your inquiry M Thomas

  • You are a great teacher, it seems so much more easier to learn from you .. Thanks.
